An excellent Manor B&B just two miles from Stonehenge.

We stayed here on our first night in England and it was a lovely start to the trip. It's just two miles from Stonehenge. It's a beautiful old (and I mean OLD house, its history dates back to 1242) with loads of English charm. The owners were helpful, the rooms very nice, with space to spread out, have tea and look out on the fields. Dinner was fantastic, I had squab with black sausage and it was excellent. The breakfast was quintessentially English and tasty. Highly recommended. 
The bathrooms are all newly redone and the tub in our room was deep and long and the water was good and hot - perfect after a day tromping about in the cold. 
And on the way out, it's worth stopping next door at the old St. Andrews church and churchyard , parts of which date to the 14th century. 
Rates in the winter were quite reasonable, though I suspect given its closeness to everything that they go up in the summer.

We cannot fault this place at all. A wonderful experience. This is a small and friendly place to stay with personal service and attention from the owners Paula and Cyrille. It was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were spacious; warm and spotlessly clean. The food was amazing! For dinner we had the mussels with frites; the sirloin beef and the lamb shank. All 3 dishes were tasty and generous in size - we cleared our plates! My sister and I shared the selection of mini desserts - 6  portions which were just the right size. My brother had a fabulous cheese board with a great chutney. The prices were very reasonable and the service was faultless. There is a small and cosy bar for before and after dinner drinks. After a good night's sleep in comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings we had the best cooked breakfast ever.
We can't wait to return. Thank you so much.

Homely feel. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Awesome food with a good selection both at dinner and for breakfast. Nice Lounge we used for drinks before and after dinner, good selection of readings to while away with was nice too.

I cannot believe that of all the places we stayed in the uk - this is one of the only ones who had Worchestershire sauce to have with my eggs in the morning!

Under priced if anything, they should charge more.

This is a brilliant place to stay, very clean lovely room and bathroom, staff all really friendly and the food is just excellent, and even reasonably priced. I cannot fault it. The manor house itself is amazing

This is the best place to stay

We stayed with a group of 10 friends for a couple of nights as our annual get together. Nothing was too much trouble for Paula and her staff.  The rooms are comfortable. We stayed in Heathcote which has a wonderful big sleigh bed. Breakfasts were ample and tasty with veggie sausages arranged for us. We ate both nights at the house and the food was excellent. I can recommend the Limoncello Creme Brulee. It was like staying in someone's country house as we had the whole house to ourselves. Very convenient to Stonehenge and Salisbury. 

Country house comfort

Having recently returned home after our post -xmas trip , I couldn't help but write a review. It's our 2nd stay here , and just booked a further stay for later in the year. It's just superb , brilliantly managed and run by the excellent attentive staff. We live a lengthy car journey away from reaching the cruise port of Southampton , so staying here is a brilliant option , since 1 hour's driving the next morning is all it takes to get there. But it's the elegant surroundings , and the personal service you receive , which keeps us returning. An error on my part with the next booking was diligently rectified too. And the restaurant food.....well WOW , it's first rate , again beautiful surroundings with cosy bar , an accomplished chef , it's the most perfect start to the stay. Beautifully appointed bedrooms with a perfectly cooked breakfast in the separate morning room ticks every box. They even have self-catering options on site , where you can also book dinner and breakfast if you wish to. We couldn't stay and not have dinner though !! It really is the best overnight stay you'll have. Can't wait to return.  Peter and Julie.

The best overnight stay you'll have.

We stayed on a first floor room that was just perfect.   The Inn is only minutes from Stonehenge.  The food was amazing, we ate dinner every night we stayed.
Wonderful service all around.  Paula and Cyrille were fantastic hosts and the entire staff was just so welcoming.

Fantastic Food and Loding

The location was perfect. We were going to a wedding at Syrencot House. So it was the ideal location. The food at the hotel breakfast and dinner was superb, beds uber comfy and the hotel staff were extremely accommodating and were wonderful, we could not fault.  Booked a local taxi via Amesbury Taxis who were fab and highly recommend.

If you are considering staying anywhere near Stonehenge or Salisbury and you have a vehicle, Rollestone Manor should be your absolute number one choice. The proprietors are completely charming, the property is historic to the max and beautifully decorated, and the meals (breakfast is included, and you should definitely book with them for dinner) are delicious. Tucked in a leafy drive off of the A360, when you turn in to Rollestone Manor you will think you’re back in a PBS Masterpiece show about historic England. The rural setting is lovely, and the ancient home is lovely, the bedrooms are large, and the common areas are intriguingly decorated with local and historic objects and art. Highest recommendation.

Fabulous!  A must stay if spending time at Stonehenge or surroundings

We stayed in the Nathaniel room and it was lovely! It was such a treat to stay in this place that is over 950 years old right at the edge of Stonehenge. It was one of the few places in all of the UK where a fan was provided and we had such a pleasant stay. I would have loved to have stayed there for more than one evening. I highly recommend you have dinner at Rollstone manner. It was absolutely fantastic and breakfast was amazing. I just can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience there.
