We have eaten lunch here several times now, and the food is always excellent. On our last visit I had calves liver, with a delicious, very buttery mash. It was exceptional! The sauce was so flavourful and the liver perfectly cooked. Hubby had duck and was equally impressed. The staff are always friendly, and it is a characterful dining room! Love it.

Flavours to die for.

A popular and busy place with a distinct Spanish influence in the menu. The food is well cooked and presented in a cosy atmosphere, though the smoke blowback from the open fire may require your clothes to be washed afterwards.

We visited this restaurant for a birthday meal .The menu was so interesting and the wine list ..My son started with the octopus dish which he really enjoyed .I had the park skewers and the sauce they were in was delicious. My son and husband choose the beef dish with the romesca sauce which they both really enjoyed .My husband and I shared the baklava with dates pudding it was very nice

The photos on the website will show what it looks like, and it is without doubt different to other places on the island. However, you can't photograph ambience.  The emphasis here is on the quality food and wines, served with smiles and genuine interest in your enjoyment. Take your time, enjoy mains at between £15 and about £25, unless you really want to splash out. Yep, no dearer than other decent places in Guernsey. Not sure where else I'd get a rabbit and black pudding galette. I asked what a galette is and they didn't snigger.

I have been to a lot of restaurants in Guernsey and one thing I have noticed is the lack of creativity on the menu. Every restaurant has the same dishes and same menus. 
Coming to the Auberge Du Val is like a breath of fresh air. Delicious food with beautiful presentation. This is a family run business with top quality food. The family and staff are really welcoming and friendly. Whether it’s for an al fresco lunch to enjoy the lovely garden area or stay cozy inside on a rainy day, the environment is beautiful and has this  je ne sais quoi that just hits differently compared to other restaurants in Guernsey.

Is this the best burger in Guernsey? And the answer is... Possibly... its certainly the best value. The prix fixe lunchtime menu offers one, two or three courses for a very reasonable £10.95, £14.95 or £17.95. The food is consistently top quality, and perfectly cooked, often with some interesting and unusual options. Accompanied by lovely draft beers, or carefully chosen wines, great value by the glass, or bottle, it's not difficult to understand why it's not always easy to nab a table here.

Is this the best burger in Guernsey?

Went to the Auberge for lunch with The Rocquette Cider Company and it was fantastic.
Really need another couple of stars to do it justice. It was also incredibly busy so word must have got out. 
No doubt it will continue like this throughout the Christmas season. Thoroughly deserved success.

Another wonderful Guernsey lunch

My first visit to the Auberge was a Friday lunchtime in August with family. Weather was mild so we sat outside in the beautiful courtyard. The staff were attentive. The menu has a Spanish vibe, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I’d heard about that Auberge for years but was never inclined to visit - that was a mistake. This place is one of Guernsey’s hidden gems.  I absolutely recommend you take a trip out to the countryside (!!) and try this fantastic place out.

Second time been to these premises since lock down was lifted. Have to say Malcolm and his team do a wonderful job, food is excellent, service spot on and they are as busy as ever, even with just locals which alone is a testament in its self.
If you have not been you really should try and get booked in you will not be disappointed.

Saturday Dinner

A charming and delightful place to stay  - highly recommended. Wonderful hosts, warm  and homely vibe with outstanding food (thanks for the clotted cream on the Guernsey Gache - one of the best desserts ever). Will long be remembered as one of the nicest in our travels - thanks.
