Here you can relax with a large D. The owners of the premises are unprecedented kind and attentive, the comfort of the rooms, bathrooms and living room is excellent. Before or after a lively tour of Skye Island, Stirling City or a steamboat crossing of Lake Katrin, a stop at Baron House is a guarantee of relaxation, in a rural setting with charm.

Magical Comfort and Unparalleled Compassion

The owners of the Baron's House are wonderful hosts, lovingly cooking the breakfast you can choose from, and lovingly giving tips for restaurants and excursions nearby.

A wonderful stay after a beautiful day of hiking

We arrived Sunday around 4pm and was met by the lovely owner Tricia, who warmly welcomed us and then gave us the option of two lovely rooms. Showed us the complimentary coffee and tea area and the open lounge that's is lovely also.

We then headed out for dinner on her recommendations to a lovely pub called the black bull(We would also recommend  that), Before we left we asked for our champagne to be put in the fridge which we had access to and she kindly gave us a champagne cooler and two lovely glasses.
Having returned from dinner we settled in the open lounge area, Relaxed and enjoyed our drink before bed.

The next Morning we headed out for a nice run before having a lovely breakfast.

I would recommend this Bed and breakfast to all!

What a great find and an even better stay! 5*

We had a perfect stay with you. The accommodation, food and service were all magnificent. We really loved the personal touch of the bed and breakfast but at the same time with the privacy you get in a larger hotel. The setting is just amazing, so picturesque and was the perfect base for us to explore the Loch Lomond area. We just wish we could have stayed for longer. We'll be back  in February as we continue to plan our wedding so we will see you soon. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. John and Fiona. 

Amazing

Would recommend this B&B for anyone who wants to guarantee a peaceful and quiet night in a tranquil setting. Room I had was tastefully furnished more like a hotel than B&B.  No views from windows just onto courtyard but wasn’t an issue as outdoor seating and a lovely reception room off the entrance to property.  Nice touch was the box of chocolates and spring water.

The walk to the pub via main road is OK after rush hour but not recommended at other times however there is a an alternative via fields at back of property but takes a bit longer.  Breakfast was fab as well.

As a mountain lover the only negative was shame not closer to mountains rather than set in open fields but still nice countryside.

p.s. Be wary of sat nav taking you to wrong address the old couple will not by happy!

Tranquil Stopover

Great stay at this spotlessly clean and comfortable B&B. Breakfast was fantastic, and the views across the countryside beautiful. John and Tricia were extremely welcoming and particularly helpful. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend

Baron House picturesque setting is matched by its owners warm and friendly reception.  We were met by John with a cheerful smile and his welcoming comportment at the front door.  After settling us in John and Tricia served tea and home-baked scones which were absolutely delicious as John is a retired professional chef.  John explained that the breakfast room was stocked with fresh fruits, coffees, teas, soups, and biscuits to be enjoyed at anytime during our stay. 

Our room was tastefully done in a country manor-house décor. Bedding and sheets were matching and very comfortable.  Our bathroom had heated towel rails and flooring with an adequate shower. Our room had French doors that gave us a wide view of the surrounding countryside. The free WiFi was fast and secure. Plenty of room to just laze or walk around.

Breakfast was delicious and bountiful and left us with no doubt that John still had a flair for the culinary arts.  Each guest was personally attended to by Tricia and every effort was made to make all feel fully satiated at the end of the service.

After breakfast, we immediately decided to stay on another day. Normally, we just move on from place to place, but the experience made us want to linger a little longer.  We will definitely tell our friends to stay at Baron House.

A Rare Gem in the Countryside close to Glasgow and Edinburgh

It's very new, recently renovated, the rooms are very spacious, with impeccable amenities. Cleanliness from 10 and praise. Very quiet in the middle of the green, the B&B is run by John and Tricia, two characters from other times. Breakfast is served as a 5-star hotel. John cooked during their visits to Scotland for Pavarotti and the Pope. Then go to Baron House....

It's beautiful.

The place is rather isolated and it is of interest only if you have to do something around the corner. The hostel is new, the owners are rather friendly, the breakfasts are well served, without any restrictions of any kind. Then you could say that the 5 stars are deserved. There were a few small disadvantages rather sizeable. Starting with the bathroom which is equipped with a sink which is lacking, it is a very small hand washing machine which is very convenient for what you have to do in the bathroom. Finally, the shower cord is too short, and attached...

Not so royal as this

The modern rooms are located in a converted former stable. The furnishings satisfy all wishes. Solid oak furniture, a comfortable bed and a large new bathroom with floor heating. Breakfast is not to be missed: a large selection of meat, cheese and fruit. Super price performance ratio!
