Rock Farm is an absolutely delightful place to stay! Penelope was so warm and welcoming and the accommodation was pristine. We were staying for one night as part of our Sandstone Trail walk. Rock Farm is right on the trail which made it very easy to resume the trail the next morning. Penelope really cares about the little details and had provided everything we could have needed that evening - tea and coffee making facilities, extra comfy beds, beautifully clean bathroom and a fan in case we were too hot in the night. There was a great selection for breakfast and all cooked to perfection! Willington Hall is very close by and great for an evening meal (would recommend the spinach pancake!!). Would highly recommend staying at Rock Farm if you are doing the Sandstone Trail or if you are visiting Willington/Tarporley areas.

Above and beyond accommodation on the Sandstone Trail

Perfect if you are walking the Sandstone Trail as it is right by it. The bathroom is shared (by 2 rooms) but the rooms are large and tastefully furnished to a very high standard. Breakfast was superb. I would definitely recommend. For our evening meal we walked 20 mins to The Boot Inn which is a pleasant, well-run pub with good food.

Very Good Indeed

We had booked this accommodation a number of months in advance as we had been invited the a wedding. I had searched hard and long for a luxury but reasonable place to stay in the area. All I can say is that we were so impressed with the whole experience.
Rock farm check in would usually be mid afternoon. I called Penelope to request that we could drop our bags at the property as the wedding was at 12pm. Penelope also was kind enough to recommend a local private hire firm whi was amazing.
The property itself was a beautiful period property decoration  was in keeping with the era. Very tasteful.  The room was amazing. Quality was the overall experience. Superior bedding, ultra comfortable bed. We could have stayed longer. Thank you Penelope and Rock farm
 

Accommodation after a wedding at nearby Abbeywood.


A warm welcome from the hosts in a charming hall decked with old family portraits and reminders of their families’ impressive past.  The building was a successful mixture of old and new.  My upstairs room was nicely furnished with a large bed and TV and coffee/tea facilities and biscuits etc.  Very comfortable and views of the unspoiled Cheshire landscape. Y

The well equipped bathroom was across a small landing - no problem as I was the only guest.

Breakfast was generous with a wide choice of fruit and cereals and hot dishes prepared to order.

Overall a delightful experience.

A wonderful friendly, peaceful, stylish place to stay - superb house and location, wonderful hosts, truly lovely room with everything you could possibly wish for, so peaceful, and an excellent breakfast. Unbeatable surely.

absolutely superb

I stayed at Rock Farm as I was having a day at nearby Oulton Park. On arriving at the farm there is a lovely long gravelled driveway leading to the large main house. 
There is plenty of parking and a covered barn which the owner, Penelope, kindly let me use to store a couple of things overnight. 
The house is elegant and has been very well appointed with lovely furniture. 
The two rooms available are on the top floor and share a bathroom which is also well equipped with toiletries. 
The setting of the farm is such that there are no nearby busy roads and overnight it was silent which was great for sleeping. The bed was plush, large and very comfortable with a very deep mattress. 
Penelope had taken my order for breakfast the previous night and had this ready for me at the exact time I had requested and the food was excellent. Breakfast included a selection of fruits, fruit juice, yoghurts, cereals, toast, freshly brewed cafetiere coffee, tea and a long selection of locally sourced cooked food. 
The only downside for me was that I had only booked in for one night!
