This is our 3rd stay at the Priory, Bed and breakfast and always look forward to our time here as it's the perfect location for a night before continuing on our travels to Cornwall. The rooms are spacious, the views are lovely and it's so peaceful especially at night. Tavistock has numerous independent shops and places to eat and a 10 minute walk from The Priory is The Whitworth Arms pub that is a great local and serves delicious meals. The Priory is definitely a special place to stay.

1 night stay

Room and bathroom very spacious, clean and comfortable. Good meal at the local pub 10 minutes walk away. Welcoming hosts.

We felt the continental breakfast served in the room was very disappointing and let the b and b down.  The Danish pastry was stale and wrapped in cling film, two croissants, one wrapped in cling film and one in a pre packaged foil, the banana and satsuma were past the sell by date, and a cake wrapped in cling film. No fresh pot of coffee or tea available just packaged coffee. 

Good quality, even frozen, croissants would have been better served with butter and jam and a pot of fresh coffee would have been acceptable, quality rather than quantity.

Would much prefer to have breakfast served in a dining room with freshly made tea and coffee and good quality food, would rather have paid more

Lovely room - very poor continental breakfast

Excellent stay at the priory. Very friendly & informative owner, made to feel very welcome. Lovely period Antique furnitue which compliments the decor & surroundings. We stayed in room 3 which was very Clean & spacious & has a very large four poster bed which was exceedingly comfortable. Nice large TV with Sky Freeview Channels. Free Wifi & free parking . Nice large bathroom with bath & shower. The Priory is situated in A lovely quite area yet it is also central (5 mins by car) into Tavistock town centre.We will definately stay there again & I highly recommend the Priory for a comfortable & charming stay.

Lovely stay at The Priory B&B

Our visit to Tavistock was made all the more interesting and unique having the Priory, the room was every thing we could wish for and the breakfast served in our room was delicious and a bonus being able get up and not have to go down to a dinning room and find a table. Brilliant idea loved the unique decor, owners couldn’t have been more helpful Thankyou for a lovely stay really recommend anyone looking for somewhere different to stay 

Three night stay stave at this interesting B&B

Beautiful B&B! Warmly welcomed from both hosts. The building is incredible, hosts allowed us to explore the turret. Rooms spotless, well equipped with the little extras, really comfortable stay. Proper curtains for a nice blacked out room in the morning. Comfortable bed with qualify pillows. 

Hogwarts 

After our previous experiences of modern and warm B&Bs, the Priory was a mixed experience... Especially since it is located 1.5 km from the city centre, a short walk away in the evening when you have your day of hiking behind you... Breakfast is served in the room impossible to meet the other guests and managers are only visible when they bring breakfast in the morning: little human warmth and hospitality, even though the guests are charming. Good English or continental breakfast that can be served the day before departure for the airport the whole department (very good organization from this small point of view).

Mixed experience

Central location in Cornwall and close to the main axes. Room No. 1, cute, marine-themed, comfortable, however soundproofing could be improved as we were awakened by the different wakes from the neighbouring rooms. Great disappointment with the shower pressure and temperature is very difficult to adjust, it is either too hot or too cold. A mixer would be welcome. It is also a pity that the cover sheet is marked with rusty tasks. The small table in the front of the room that also serves breakfast is a bit too small and we are at the banquet to have the breakfast that is convenient to him and to respond to the one we spend the night before. It is served at the crossroads. Domestically, it has never been served in this room because it is not very convenient. Despite the fact that it is not very convenient, it has never forked in the B&B room.
