Absolutely fabulous stay with family for new year, Central to everything and the lady who owns the beautiful guest house was so friendly and helpful, The place itself was so clean and smelt so nice throughout, Every room was styled really nice and so warm and homely, Everything you need for a coulple  of nights stay just perfect 😊 Would highly recommend to anyone, Parking onsite no faults at all x

Absolutely perfect stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at St John's Guest House. Lynne & Andy were very friendly, helpful & accommodating throughout the booking & the stay.
We were really impressed with our rooms, they were well equipped, immaculately clean, well maintained & best of all warm & cosy.
The breakfast was hearty & delicious.
It makes a good base, the onsite parking is handy & it's only a few minutes walk from the beach & promenade.
We'll definitely be returning, it was great value, we were really impressed.

Excellent value for money, outstanding accommodation.

We stayed at St Johns Guest House in Weymouth for 3 nights in November for the 2nd time. We stayed 5 years ago when Lynne and Andy had taken over the guest house. What a transformation and it was evident how much work had been put in to this fantastic place.  All rooms have been renovated to an extremely high standard and are tastefully decorated.
We stayed in Room 7 on the 2nd floor.  This was a good sized room with a modern bathroom and excellent shower. There was a lot of storage space which is always a bonus. The room was spotlessly clean as was the whole of the guest house. 
The dining room is airy and bright and the perfect place to enjoy a hearty breakfast .

Breakfast was cooked by Lynne and the full English was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast orders are taken the evening prior to breakfast via an app which works well and is a marvellous idea. There is a good selection of starters and main course  , with ample amount of toast , tea and coffee  . This set us up for the day!

 There is on site parking to the rear of the guesthouse which is a rarity in Weymouth.

Now to the hosts.
Lynne and Andy are perfect hosts and it was obvious how much they enjoyed their work since taking over  St John's. Nothing was too much trouble, they were extremely
 friendly and treated all guests so well. Lots of guests return and we can see why. 

Weymouth is a beautiful place to visit, with so many coastal walks, it
 is a walkers paradise. There are numerous restaurants and pubs and something for all ages to enjoy. 

We will definitely return to St John's, and would recommend as Lynne and Andy's hospitality is first class.

STILL the best accommodation in Weymouth. Lynne and Andy really can't  do enough for you. Very friendly. Excellent choice of breakfast, room spotless and comfortable, ample parking . Already booked for next year

Afternoon tea Practically perfect in every way,  Lynne the owner was so warm  friendly and service 2nd to non, Food was mmmmmm tasty,fresh, and plenty of tasty sandwiches,  delicious scones, scrumptious cakes, and belly full of tea,,and the guest house is beautifully decorated and very very nice

We had an afternoon tea at St John's.  Lynne looked after us so well and the quality of the food was superb.  Lovely setting in a spotless dining room looking out the bay window. We really enjoyed ourselves.  We love Weymouth and it's great to know of such a nice guest house.  We will certainly be back.

Superb afternoon tea

We spent two nights – New Years Eve and the day after – at the St John’s whilst visiting family in Weymouth to celebrate the end of 2022. I do not believe we could have chosen a better local accommodation.

We have room 5, which was exactly as the photos show, comfortable and it has the option of taking the adjoining room to make it into a suite with bay window overlooking the church. The toilet and shower are in the room and the design is quite ingenious to fit them. It is a standalone shower with small step and good power, just right. The room had a decent size TV and small fridge. Wifi worked well.

 Our greeting was warm and friendly and that tone continued throughout the stay. Our hosts are genial and make the stay personal, which was really appreciated. The nice touch of bubbly on New Years Eve (we saved for breakfast) was super.

Breakfast was ordered in advance, cooked really well and the plates were testimony to quality as there was no “oil” on them after the breakfast. 

When we are back in Weymouth this will be our first choice, absolutely no doubt about it.


Well located, well run, well nice...

We have just returned from our 3rd stay at St John’s and it was as good as ever, our room had a selection of teas, coffees water etc was beautifully decorated, warm and very comfortable for a good nights sleep. (We plan on staying in all the rooms eventually!) There are diffusers in the hall way and bedrooms they smell amazing and can be purchased, this was a must for me. Lynne and Andy are very accommodating nothing is to much trouble and the breakfast is excellent so much choice and cooked to perfection. Thank you for our glass of champagne that was brought up to  the room on New Year’s Eve. There is parking at the back which is a bonus. See you later in the year!

New Year’s Eve at St.Johns

Our second stay of two nights in the Romsey Suite was absolutely perfect. Lovely clean, comfortable, warm rooms with super comfy beds and everything you could need. The breakfast choice is great and really delicious. The guesthouse is just a short stroll from the beach and esplanade. Thanks Lynne and Andy for another wonderful stay.

The perfect place for a relaxing break.

We visited St John's Guesthouse this afternoon for afternoon tea. It was the best afternoon tea we have ever had, and the hosts were absolutely lovely. We were even shown what their rooms are like when we mentioned we might like to go back one day to stay with them. The rooms were lovely. We will definitely try and book to stay next year 😊. Would highly recommend.
