We stayed at the Warrington as part of a motorbike trip which took us from Essex to the Peak District and the Lakes with a 7 day stop in a cottage in Bamburgh . Our two nights at the Warrington was a culmination of a journey home . We arrived soaking wet as the weather had been appalling but were very appreciative of the consideration given by the hosts in helping us with getting our gear dried off and making us feel comfortable . Its a no frills place but our room was spotlessly clean , spacious and relaxing . We spent two very enjoyable days exploring the lovely village and surrounding areas - bus service is very good so it was nice to get off the bike and see a part of England which we dont normally do as we travel mostly in France and Germany for long trips . The Warrington is excellent value for money and the hosts are fantastic - friendly and accommodating . I would also like to mention that the breakfast provided on both days was extremely good and generous  with thought given to local produce  - the Eggs Benedict was to die for  !! We travel quite a lot and I am quite fussy and like a bit of luxe but had a great stay at the Warrington .  5 Stars !!  Thank You

Two night stay on road trip with FAB breakfast

Misleading website, saying you can have meals from the cafe not true as it  is  shut down. Website never updated. Showers need updating, the whole building is run down and needs a face lift, parking at rear if you can get in, or it's park on the busy street. Breakfast sparse. Only good thing was a descent bed.

This establishment produces consistently great food.The owners,Jon and Jane are so friendly and this combined with a great range of food made from quality products sets them apart from the offerings elsewhere in the village.We would commend it to readers.You won’t be disappointed.

Best food in Thornton le Dale

We were located on the second floor with good views to the front, the room was large with a comfortable bed and everything was very clean in the bedroom.  The facilities included a small TV, coffee/tea making facilities, wi-fi and a settee.  The bathroom lets the facilities down with a very poor shower and mould in various places around the shower area, the towels were clean but very rough and the whole bathroom area could do with an update. The main host Jane goes out of her way to ensure that guests are looked after and the breakfast was superb with a vast choice of good quality food.  The facility is very well situated for everything in the village which has a good eating facility at The Inn and a local pub across the road (The Buck).  The village is a lovely old village with nice walks and quaint little cottages along a little Beck that runs through the village.  Whitby is only 30mins away and we found the Park & Ride a good way to go into Whitby at a cost of £3 return for both of us with no parking to find.  Overall we recommend this Guest House for a stay in the area, however, it could do with some updating particularly the on suite facilities.

Good location and Superb Breakfast

The Warrington Guest House Bed & Breakfast was a lovely place to stay and somewhere I would happily return to.
Staying for 3 nights in the St John's room on the second floor, which was a large, airy room with two windows facing the rear of the property, seating area, complementary tea/coffee and a large bathroom with separate shower.
Jane is a wonderful hostess, friendly, very approachable and not the least bit intrusive, but there if you need her.
The breakfast menu is absolutely fantastic, not only with a wonderfully set out table to greet you in the morning, but also with a fabulous choice and more than enough to fill you up for the day ahead. Having chosen from a selection of cereal to start, toast with a choice of jams/marmalade and finally "The Full Works" cooked breakfast with coffee and orange juice you really are full until tea time, and then Jane offers more toast for those who still have any room left!
After leaving the room each morning and before returning later in the day, a little elf had visited who had made the bed, cleaned the cups/glasses and restocked the tea/coffee tray.

Would happily return.

Just stayed here for 2 nights. Really nice, large, clean room. Exceptional breakfast. Great location right in the heart of the village. Lovely hosts. Highly recommend. Everything you need in the room, tea, coffee making facilities. Good shower and nice bathroom.

Lovely stay

Visited family in the village and stayed the night at the Warrington. Excellent room with full amenities and a comfortable bed.
The breakfast was superb and the welcome warm and friendly. Excellent and great value for money. 

Excellent Stay

We returned and stayed here again in October, first visiting the guest house in July this year. I am pleased to say that everything was just as we remembered, lovely hosts, a great full English breakfast and very clean and spacious rooms, and very good room "trays" with a good selection of drinks.Once again Jane & Jonathan proved to be the perfect hosts. I would certainly recommend the Warrington to anyone visiting Thornton Le dale

Repeat performance

We had a two night stay at the Warrington guest house. we were made very welcome on arrival. Our room was large, spotlessly clean with everything you need, TV, tea/coffee making, bath and shower.Our two breakfasts were excellent. During our stay we had a day in Scarborough (30 mins drive away) and a day walking in the Dalby Forest (10 mins drive away). The only small negative is car parking, it is best if you can park on the street outside, but this gets very full, the guest house has a small yard you can park in but you have to drive round the block to use it.

Jane & Jonathan, such lovely people, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we stayed in was big and comfortable. We had the "full English" breakfast each morning that set us up for the day. If we do return to this part of Yorkshire in the future we would certainly try and stay here again.
