Stopped while on a work trip during what might have been a convention week because everyone else was “full”.  
   Front desk staff was nicer than the reviews made them out to be, but then again a little politeness on the customer’s part goes a long way. 
   As far as the noisemakers, those reviews are not wrong. My neighbor played his tv at full blast till I passed out around midnight, and now he has a white noise machine going at the same volume. The sirens are going off as well. 
    But it is next to a freeway, and in a “interesting part of town”, to put it mildly, and there is nothing the Motel can do about it. But, the people working at the businesses next door were all very nice(again customer politeness helps)
     The room was far cleaner than the other reviews state. The shower head is a little dirty, but I don’t use them on the road anyway. 
      The bottom line is. It is a $60 buck a night motel right off the freeway.  It is sandwiched between 3 hotels all charging more than double that for the same bed and a shower.  
    I would stay here again if needed.

Great place to stop for overnight.  Chick-fil-A right next door and a Dennys across the road. Everything clean.  Right off the interstate with easy on and off. Staff was very nice. Would definitely go there again.

This is a very very dated and old hotel.
Nothing is being done to keep this up.
If you are looking for a cheap stay, you should not pay more than $50 a night.

If you are looking for quality, you should go elsewhere.

There are no hangers in the room, because “people take them” according to the very grumpy owner at the front desk.

On the positive side, the room was very clean and serviceable.

Absolutely grosss!!!! Rented a room for a week and found a use condom underneath the sheets !!! Just disgusting!!!! I’m traumatized for life with hotel room from now on !!!! Just absolutely gross!!!! Unsanitary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.  CHECKED IN AND CHECKED RIGHT OUT. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY.  GROSS STUFF ALL OVER THE WALLS. DIRTY USED SHEETS THAT WERE JUST REMADE AND NOT CHANGED. GROSS HAIR ALL OVER THE BED SHEETS.  ENCOUNTERED A MAN SPRAYING FOR ROACHES.

Upon arrival @ approximately 5:00pm on 12/27/21, I presented a coupon that we had just picked up at the welcome center for $52.99.  The manager said “no more rooms at that price will be $59.00”. I agreed and he started the registration.  As a courtesy I mentioned that I had tried to call the motel three times before arriving to check availability, and no one answered each time.  He said the desk is always staffed and became condescending and dialed the desk with his cell phone to show me it rang.  I then tried to confirm breakfast at 6:00am as stated in the ad.  He stated no breakfast at all.

He became very upset and said I see you will not be happy here so I will not give you a room so you do not write a bad review.  Little did he know I am 79 years old and do not write reviews (positive or negative).  He upset me so much that I felt I needed to let others know how he treats his senior customers.

I left his building and walked to the Knight Inn motel and was registering with the clerk.  She had my license and credit card in her hand when he came storming in and took my credit card from her and threw it at me saying you cannot stay here and left.

I asked the clerk for his name and she would not give it to me and found he manages both places.

I have never been treated in this manner, I have never been refused a room or any service.

I was extremely upset, humiliated and embarrassed.  I feel someone in corporate for Red Roof Inn and Knights Inn Motel needs to be aware of his attitude and how he treats customers.

Rude and humiliating experience - corporate needs to take notice!

We stopped here due to mechanical issues on our way down South. Thought this would be an affordable place. From the tenants hanging out, you can tell this is a straight up Welfare Motel. We were desperate so I inquired about a room. We are 2 hours before check in time (3pm) and the man wanted $30 extra bucks on top of the overly priced 70 something to let us in early. Needless to say I walked. Must get a hefty sum from the government to turn away good, clean, self-paying customers. 
 AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Just Keep Driving

TL:DR- I booked but did not stay. The front desk thought I was an easy target and tried to make me pay extra. The men at the front desk are also spiteful and rude. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. The customer service here is terrible. If you're a woman or "other" in your appearance, forget getting good customer service. If you're a man who looks "normal" you might be alright... maybe.

The men at the desk were rude to me from the moment I walked in the door. I saw them see me come in and they sat on the couch behind the counter for a good while before getting up to check me in. Then the guy started yelling at me when I told him how many people would be in the room with me.

I booked through Orbitz originally. I made a mistake and did not book the room with my 2 children under 10. That was totally my fault. I went to try and add my children through the service and could not do it.

Orbitz told me it would be a total of $20 to add my kids. DK or the other man at the front desk told me it would be $60- to add the children. There was too much of a discrepancy between what Orbitz was telling me  and what the men at the desk were saying. I ended up getting a full refund. That is a good thing on the hotel's part but that's about it.

I booked the same hotel through another website for less days because the refund was being processed and I would not be able to access that money to book my original stay. I planned to add more days later on when my refund was processed but I am actually glad this did not happen

Anyway, I booked through Hotels.com to make sure my children were paid for. Hotels is my go-to but I foolishly thought I could get a better rate because I had some Or-bucks. Turns out that the Hotels.com price with the children WAS THE SAME as it was without them through Orbitz. There wasn't a penny of difference.

^^^ This is in line with what I have known to be true about booking with Red Roof Inn in general. I have never had to pay extra for my 2 children to stay at a Red Roof Inn regardless of the booking site. I later found out KIDS STAY FREE. This is on the Red Roof Inn website and applies to all franchisees if I understand correctly.

So, this pair of men either did not want me to stay at their hotel or wanted to cheat me out of my money because they thought he could. This is just my personal opinion.

The man at the front desk, DK I believe it was, took my previous cancellation personally or as a way to refuse me service. The new booking site called the hotel and DK would not answer. Apparently, Fatima answered the phone.

So by now, I am frustrated. The customer service reps were rude, lied about kids being extra, and then they threatened to keep the full amount for what I paid for a room without actually checking me in.

Luckily, the new booking site had better customer service than the old booking site because they were able to deal with the Red Roof Inn franchisee, fix my problem, and book me at the much nicer hotel across the street (The Country Inn) for no extra charge.

You want my advice?
Even if you are a man DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. DO NOT use Orbitz. Their competitor, Hotels.com has better customer service. Hopefully, not spending money at this place will run them out of business because I can't imagine I am the only one these men have done this to.

This is the only Red Roof Inn I have ever had a problem with and if I could give it -10 stars I would.

Front Desk Rep Lied and Tried to Over Charge Us

This place deserves a 0. 

I reserved a nonsmoking room. Here’s what happened:

Room #1 — No Heat

Rooms #2, 3, and 4 — these were smoking rooms, even though they claimed the rooms were nonsmoking. 

I saw bugs crawling across the floor in one room.

Filthy rooms with a strong smoke/mildew stench. 

STAY AWAY.

Bugs. Stench.

How these people are open is a SHOCK.  As previous reviewers have said conditions were abysmal!  Red Roof would do well to revoke their association with this family of misfits.

I have stayed in some pretty bad places.  Well I thought I had until I stayed here!!

The bedspread had HUGE stains on it, see pix.  The ONE chair in the room looked like it had been dragged around the parking lot then placed in the room.  Our bare feet NEVER hit the floor, the room had NOT been cleaned prior to our arrival.  we never set our dog down on the floor which had not be vacuumed at all.

My wife, dog and I left here, Ubered to a restaurant, got rip roaring blasted and then Ubered back to pass out on top of the sheets and then leave early in the morning.

Do yourself a HUGE favor - NEVER EVER stay here.  I wouldn't wish this place on my ex!!  Well maybe, but I digress.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
