Pleasant surprise, clean and spacious rooms. Tv ok, internet actually quite good, staff very friendly especially staff doing rooms. Just very helpful and friendly. LOTS of stairs so beware, no elevators and most rooms on 2nd level. The stairs are steep! Lots of food nearby within walking distance. Not pretty but a reasonable place to stay.

Pleasant surprise

Updated interior, generous sized rooms, and adequate parking in close proximity to Denali Park made this a good place to stay. The staff was friendly, the room immaculately clean and  comfortable. Loved the shower stall! The Boardwalk shops were handy as were the Dog Sled grocery store and the Food Truck.  A definite stay again! But if you have difficulty with stairs this might not be a good choice for you.

Great Value, Great Location

My wife got Covid, she has a compromised immune system, and is very sick, have to stay in Anchorage in case she had to be hospitalized. This place will not work with us ANY, Pam replied in bold red via email that they don’t work with anyone. Won’t change dates, nada. It’ll be a cold day in h*ll before I go there, life’s too short to deal with rude folks that lack compassion.

Rude

Stayed here for3 nights while visiting Denali NP. The staff  were all super friendly and helpful! I loved the man driving the shuttle to/from the train station, he was so kind. The room was quiet, clean, and up to date. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Super close to the NP and easy to catch the free shuttle  into the park. Close to all the shopping and restaurants.

AWESOME!

This review is for the motel.  Because the reviews  were all over the place I really didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised.  The motel building is plain but the rooms are clean, comfortable and we really enjoyed having 2 rooms with a kitchenette. We had no problem with noise.  Being attached to the shopping area with fun shops and casual restaurants was a big plus and being across the street from the Denali Princess and McKinley Chalet meant easy access fancier restaurants and the free shuttle to Denali Nat'l Park visitor center.

The staff was friendly and helpful and provided shuttle service to and from the train plus information about the shuttle to the park.  Yes, the checkout time is 10:00 and the shuttle to the Anchorage train is at 11:00 but they will store your bags for you and you can get breakfast or do a little shopping during that hour.

Great location

This motel was an awesome place to stay. My expectations were blown away, my room was large and very clean. The staff are very helpful and was responsive to my emails. They offer a free shuttle that took us to/from the train station. The location is unbeatable as everyone in town comes to the Boardwalk for food and shopping, which is right in front of the motel. It was really convenient to go souvenir shopping, shopping for snacks/drinks, ice cream, and getting lunch/dinner quickly or at a sit down restaurant. Many Denali tours offer pick up/drop offs right across the street at the Princess Lodge which can be accessed via the cross walk.

Exceeded Expectations

We stayed in the RV park with a group tour and were appalled. Appalled at the tour company for sending us here and appalled at the condition of this park. We were crammed together like sardines. Literally. We had to negotiate with our neighbor to coordinate which slides could be put out.  Don’t even think about awnings. I have seen many reviews complaining about space but when my slide actually touched my neighbor’s there’s a big problem. 

Also, not only are there many potholes in the gravel lot, they actually build trenches in the road throughout the park. Are they trying to break rigs?? I understand that this is Alaska and paving might not be an option but leveling potholes can be done and building trenches is just mean. 

Cable TV works some of the time, wifi is free for 30 minutes after that you pay. 

I don’t expect a lot from an RV park except a level spot, decent roads and that the services advertised actually work. This place has a lot of guaranteed business with rv tour companies for at least a couple of years in advance. The location is excellent with walking access to shopping, restaurants, gas, day tours etc. It’s a shame they don’t invest in this property to improve it instead of figuring out how to cram more rigs in and pocketing the money. I will never recommend it that’s for sure.

Awful

The location of this RV was great. Close to Denali national park, restaurant, and boardwalk. The staff was nice, friendly, and helpful. The toilet and shower were clean.
They have paid wifi but they have a good signal in at&t. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Nice place to stay

Could barely walk between two slide outs.Tight spaces, electric boxes make no sense for how they want you to park. Raft shuttle runs non stop daily. Delivery trucks for restaurant/shops come in and park blocking spaces. Garbage picked up daily - noisy. Very noisy from all the traffic coming/going VERY DUSTY!

We stayed in the motel. Room was clean. Smoke detectors in the entire building went off twice in the middle of the night. Our light tried to turn on a couple times on its own overnight.  People were loud in the hallway late into the night. Things happen. More importantly, the staff is rude and unaccommodating. Check out at 10. I asked for 11 because we have a shuttle getting us at 11. She said no. Also, I tried to open their office door at 8. They open at 8 I guess. It was clearly audible. About 30 seconds later the door opens. She doesn’t even look at me or acknowledge me as I’m standing there. I say good morning she says nothing. Look, if you don’t care about that, great. For me, it’s very poor customer service and I would never stay at this place unless there was literally no other hotels available (which there weren’t in this case)
