The hotel spills character with 19th century luxurious big rooms and big beds. For us, going to Berlin, it is a few minutes' drive but seems far from the madding crowds of my fellow Americans trying to sneak peek Amish. Great exit next day without traffic of Berlin. Prices reasonable if just a bit pricey, but, hey, you live only once.

Nostalgic 19th century with 21st century convenience

Front desk was very accommodating and helpful. Hotel is located in middle of several good restaurants. It also has a great history! 
Now the bad, which isn’t very bad, more disappointing, there is no cable in hotel, only Roku. Even though the wires are there, there was a note saying they couldn’t get cable because of bricks and tin in building. So we couldn’t get the college ball games on Saturday! Also the court yard area seemed very run down and neglected since our last visit. Also there was no restaurant anymore and to was disappointing.

Neat hotel but…

I made a reservation and received an email confirmation that included the total price. After I checked into the hotel, I realized that I was overcharged  $94.92. I emailed the hotel manager regarding the overcharge and was told that the price had increased. Note: the hotel website showed my room still listed for the amount noted on my email confirmation. At checkout I again asked for the charge to be reduced to the amount on my email confirmation. I was told by the manager that she would not do so. I stated I would request a charge back. She said “go ahead.” I requested and received a charge back of $94.92. The hotel disputed this. My credit card provider investigated and found in my favor. 

Hotel overcharged me and refused to honor my written hotel reservation confirmation.

The three of us stayed in second story suite.   Very nice.  Clean rooms.   Loved all the historic pics and documents in the hallways.  Staff was also very helpful in assisting us a place to store our bicycles.   Very neat place.  

Great place to stay.

Stayed here as part of our ride on the Ohio to Erie Trail - so just overnight.  The rooms are somewhat dated, but sufficient for a single night to rest while on the trail.  It sits on a main road in the middle of town on which many trucks traverse; best to request a room in the back off the street.  Our room was small - the queen bed just fit into it.  The restaurant was not open the day we were there so we cannot comment on breakfast; a few restaurants are within walking distance.  Staff was great and helped with indoor bike storage in our of their meeting rooms.

Interesting Historic Hotel on Ohio To Erie Trail

The hotel is a marvelously well kept (or updated) ancient building right in downtown Millersburg and it was a joy just walking around inside it. Our room was small and expensive (although our timing no doubt played a big part in that) but it was clean as anyone could ask. 

The manager/clerk on duty (which ever the appropriate title) was incredibly helpful and accommodating but the 3 star review was based on the size of the room and a dismal experience with their restaurant. The table was sticky; the paper menus were outright disgusting; and they could not cook a chicken dish as "they had none-they did not defrost it"......you can't run a respectable place that way. All apologies to the desk lady who was superb.

Hotel Millersburg is a gem of a historic hotel in the heart of Ohio Amish country. Each of the seven rooms we reserved provided a pleasant combination of victorian antiques and modern conveniences.  The food and drink served in the onsite bar/restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. While the bar/restaurant hours are somewhat limited, we found several delightful places to eat within a two-block walking radius of the hotel, including the Millersburg Brewing Company and Bags Sports Pub.  Kudos to Jamie and her entire staff (front desk, bar/restaurant and housekeeping) for making our family feel like truly valued guests and providing a memorable hotel experience.

Perfect venue for a family gathering!

Delightful room. Lousy dining service for breakfast. No meet and seat. A skimpy breakfast menu. No acknowledgement of diner’s presence to give a chance to ask if there were any non-egg breakfasts. Don’t go there if your a stranger. We walked out to the next nearest place.

Nice room , forget the restaurant.

Eight cousins(with a few spouses)met in Millersburg, Ohio for a reunion.  We came from New Jersey, Illinois,  and Missouri.   The Hotel  Millersburg (1847)  did not disappoint!   I stayed   
in room 219 and was happy with the room.   The bed was very comfortable and the view out two of the windows overlooked the brickyard, a great place to sit, drink and visit.   The restaurant served delicious meals…I recommend the salmon dinner and the breakfast.  We had reservations for dinner on Saturday and we were quite pleased with a private room and great service.   The Staff was very attentive to our group.   We even got poker chips and cards from the front desk and played cards in the parlor room.   We were intrigued with the historic pictures,  memorabilia  and the quilts hanging on the hallway walls.   We were able to park 24/7 on the hotel’s parking lot a short walk away.  We had a marvelous time on our cousin reunion !

Cousin Reunion

We had a reason to visit Holmes County and decided to stay overnight rather than drive back to Columbus.  We picked Hotel Millersburg because it was located downtown and close to restaurants and bars and our experience was great.  The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel staff were very accommodating.  The bathroom fixtures are a bit dated, but for the price, location, and cleanliness we'll stay again.
