We have stayed at many Bed and Breakfast but this experience was made special by the patroness . She was a sweet kind and very friendly Lady that reminded us that there are Gods angels right here on Earth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Also the Breakfast was wonderful.

The Peace of Heaven experiance

This was my first time doing a bed and breakfast and I have to admit it was lovely. The hosts were so sweet and we had some great conversations. The breakfast they made us was absolutely incredible and the backyard was so peaceful. It sits in the middle of mountains with lots of nature visible from the breakfast table. Can't wait to go back next year.

First Bed & Breakfast Experience was wonderful.

Very quiet B&B about 6 miles from the center of Errol, NH. Sonja & Charles are very pleasant hosts and fun to talk with. Our room was clean and comfortable. It had its own door to the outside and you could park right near the door. There is a big dinning room table with a window overlooking a flower bed and some water. We got to watch a Great Blue Heron wade during our breakfast. Breakfast was very good. We had coffee, OJ, fresh fruit, homemade banana bread, and a tasty omelet with veggies (We could also have chosen french toast, waffles, or blueberry, banana, or plain pancakes)

This gem of a bed and breakfast is a wonderful and quaint throwback to a simpler time.

I stayed here with my friend while we were competing at a local adventure race at Colebrook State Park. 

The hosts of this bed and breakfast were extremely friendly and hospitable.  Despite arriving late, Sonja and Charles greeted us at the front door and gave us a tour of the house as well as our room.  They were welcoming, accommodating, conversational, and made us feel like we were at home without ever being over-bearing or intrusive.

The house is set back off the road just down the street from The Basalms.  It has a rustic, quaint, old-world feel, and also serves as the town's meeting house and voting center.

It's in a remote, small town called Errol, and if you are looking for peace, quiet, and an opportunity to enjoy nature...look no further.  At night it's pitch black, the sky is clear, the stars and moon appearing like a planetarium above, with only the sound of bugs to break the silence.  During the day, you have wonderful views of the forest and mountains behind the house.

The room we stayed in is spacious and has a private back door entrance.  The bathroom is large and the beds are comfortable.  

Breakfast is excellent, and consists of homemade banana bread, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, eggs anyway you want them, pancakes (blueberry was incredible), French toast, waffles, and bacon, all made fresh to your liking by Sonja and Charles.  

The house is just minutes away from amazing hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and/or ATV trails, depending on what time of year you're visiting.

If you are coming to New Hampshire and looking for a cozy, comfortable, inexpensive stay with lots of access to outdoor activities and old-world charm, I highly recommend A Peace Of Heaven Bed and Breakfast!

Cozy stay bed and breakfast with great hosts and old world charm

I am reluctantly giving this B&B only three stars because in my mind it’s not what we typically encounter as a Bed and Breakfast. 
We did like the private entrance and our room was very clean and well appointed, however, the towels have seen a few too many washings. A usual B&B has public areas for guests but this is basically a room in someone’s home. We didn’t have an opportunity to talk with Charlie but did with  Sonja in the morning. She is very friendly and loves to cook for her guests. She made blueberry muffin tops and fruit but that was just the starter. Apparently, she cooks a full breakfast made to order with eggs, omelets, French toast and bacon. Whatever you want. We declined because we just don’t eat that much. I fell bad with my three star rating but when you walk in and encounter and an ironing board in the hall with stuff on it and no where to go but your room it just wasn’t to our liking. It seems strange that there are no reviews in recent years. 

Nice Room and Hosts

This place is not as advertised, the odor that met us at the front door was terrible. The exterior was dirty and unkept and when looking in the windows it was full of clutter. I would recommend steering clear of this place.

Found this place by accident.. Eva was a doll and I would definate make this a to go place rather than a oops like we found it. 5 stars for us.. thank you Eva for making what could have been a disaster a wonderful experience..

Wonderful hideaway

Arriving to A Peace of Heaven, felt welcomed from the moment we drove in approaching the beautiful gardens around the house. The room was extremely clean and well kept. Appreciated having a separate entrance. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful; took it all in sitting on a bench overlooking the back pond. Sonja is a wonderful host; her breakfasts are memorable as well as her stories! Felt like we were staying at one of favourite relatives. Loved the collection of hummingbird feeders on the back porch; an opportunity to relax and observe these magnificent birds. Would highly recommend this tranquil and friendly B&B.

Not Only a Piece of Heaven but a Piece of Home

We were in the area for my husbands mothers funeral.  Sonja and Charlie were kindly and compassionate -- even shared a story or two about his mom with us.   The place is beautifully landscaped with hummingbirds as a lovely bonus.  The beds are super comfy.  Rooms are nice and large and very clean. Breakfast was amazing!!!!   Fresh fruit was delicious.  Homemade blueberry muffin tops that were incredible!  We then ordered our eggs and French toast and pancakes!  Three of us had perfectly prepared poached eggs!!!   Yummy French toast too!  Theses two have it down pat!  They are friendly and funny and made it look easy!!!  It was a lovely step back to a more peaceful time.

Peace is such an appropriate play on words for this sweet place!

It's not easy to find, as (the owners explained to us) it's located between the municipalities of Errol and Colebrook, sending navigators in tilt. Once found, it's a very pleasant surprise: the rooms are beautiful, neat and very clean. The abundant, excellent and ready-to-eat breakfast (fruit, muffin, maple marmalade, pancakes, eggs, bacon... all home-made).
