This place is a dump.  Room not clean, shower did not work properly.  Smelled bad in the hallway, broken door handles.  Back door propped open as the lock did not work.  Broken sidewalk that is a hazard to walk on.  Stay away.

We have started staying at Motel 6 because of the rate, pet friendly and they are always clean! We love that they do not have carpet!! 
This one was over all a nice place to stay and we will stay again.

Good place to stay.

We would not have chosen to stay here but a funeral required it and a dirt track race in the area totally booked the hotels in the area.  I guess that is the reason Motel 6 jacked there $63 room to near $100.   I would not chose to stay here again, but for the normal price of $63 a night it makes a reasonable deal.   First, the room is SPARTAN!   There is no carpet anywhere which makes the large room seem industrial.   Yet it was very clean which is half of my requirement.   The other half is quiet, so if you chose this humble hotel, ask for a room away from Michigan St.  Roar of trucks and bikes in front is only tolerable if you have hearing aids or ear plugs.

A Spartan Experience But Clean

I stayed here for a few nights, the staff is extremely friendly and the service was awesome! The breakfast is awesome and the rooms are extremely clean, As the title states the best hotel in Sidney!!!!!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST HOTEL IN SIDNEY

My Fiance' and I are currently homeless, and have been living at this motel for about 3 weeks now. Kevin, the night shift manager has been amazing! He has addressed every need, concern and issue with the upmost respect and speed. After I was told that we couldn't reserve the room for a certain week due to events and booking issues, it was all taken care of and fixed because I was misinformed and the website made a mistake. Kevin corrected it, got us the room booked and everything taken care of. I couldn't be more thankful for him and all the work and help he has offered and done for us. Thank you so much KEVIN and MOTEL 6. Good people are few and far between now days, but god bless him and the amazing customer service skills and compassion he has shown us in our troubled times. I will definitely recommend and continue to stay here. Room service is courteous and thorough as well. Beds are comfortable, price is affordable, amenities are good as well. Motel 6 Sidney Ohio on Michigan Street is the best!!!!!!!!

Blessings over and over...

I came in on a Friday evening and Checked in for two nights. Kevin  (employee) was outstanding.! He was Very polite and considerate and Very kind. He Helped me out without hesitation. I really enjoyed my stay at Motel 6. I Will forsure spread the good word to My friends and family about the excellent service I received here. 

Thanks again Kevin for Making my stay the best it could be. I'll be sure to come here again. :)

BEST Customer service yet

If you book a Motel 6, you should know what to expect. A decent room, fairly clean, no bugs, fairly noisy halls in the morning, and few, if any frills. This is exactly what I found. The hotel was cheap, provided a decent place to sleep and was convenient.Wifi was exceptionally strong!! ; >)
 ALL GOOD

Exactly what I expected

This place was ALMOST finished renovations when we stopped there in March. Although it is still a work in process, the very minor unfinished work did not detract from our visit in the slightest. They were still working on some very small details.
This Motel 6 was formally called "Country Hearth Inn" So with that refurbish caveat in place, you can judge for yourself if this is a fair review. 
As we entered, late in the evening,  we were met at the desk by Kevin. - the fenetic, peripatetic, jack of all trades of this Motel 6. He relayed to us that he was a co-owner of the place, and my observation was that he could not do enough to make us welcome and comfortable.
I observed him mopping the floor in the lobby, welcoming guests, effusively offering advice to patrons, assisting in parking cars  and he never walked the halls without a rag in his pocket as he constantly looked for areas to clean. He moves tirelessly and relentlessly throughout the motel. On the night we were there, he told us that some staff could not come in for a scheduled shift, and he was trying to cover the absentees. 
When I woke up the next morning, Kevin was still there, setting up the coffee and cleaning the pristine lobby. 
At first sight this Motel 6 presents very well, with a functional, utilitarian, modern, spotlessly clean, capacious lobby.
We were in room 104. It too, was capacious and clean. The room was much more space than we could use, but would be an excellent choice for a young couple travelling with toddlers and a playpen. 
Our room was a mixture of older refurbished, mixed with '"Ikea chic". The walls were freshly painted. Clearly visible and adding to the look and feel of the place was electrical conduit on the outside of the walls and a retro a/c heater under the window. The room had a  modern, chic, Euro, minimalist feel. There were no "Holiday Inn" stock reprinted pictures bolted to the wall. I found this refreshing, and adding to the clean feel of the room.
The beds and pillows had clean crisp sheets and were very comfortable. They too had that Euro-chic look to them. Actually you can see under the beds. Nice for the customer concerned with cleanliness, but it must be extra work for cleaning staff.
There is a bar fridge, in the room and a modern  sink and faucets. The toilet is new and modern while the toilet roll dispenser is the older retro looking style. The tub is the typical hotel sized- suitable for showering- and with the bow shaped curtain rod and curtain. 
Added bonus for those who like cleanliness- The floor is a Pergo type of click flooring. Therefore NO mouldy, disease infected carpets in your room!! Somebody cares about the air you breathe in your sleep. 
There is free wifi in the rooms, and a work desk for your laptop. There are plenty of electric  plugs to meet the needs of modern day travellers. 
The room had a flat screen TV with cable. 
I heard no road noise nor any noise from any other room on my visit.
The old retro a/c heater unit was a little noisy, but not unduly so for that style of a/c heater. There was a little noise bleed from the TV to the hall, and there were some  small paint spots on the baseboard. All very minor issues. 
Strangely enough, the washroom did not have shampoo or a hairdryer provided. Is this a Euro thing or an oversight? Not that it was a concern at all for my wife who would never consider using any hotel shampoo. Ever. Is that a woman thing? I don't know. 
So overall, the pride of local ownership shows through in this place. It is pristine clean. It has a funky mixture of Retro North American/Euro chic character. Parking is plentiful and convenient. Free wifi and coffee.
There are plenty of convenient restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores nearby. I would not hesitate to recommend this place nor stay here again.
