Arrived and found a big area on the ceiling that was wet and had mold all over it. It was in the bedroom which concerned me. Reported it and was told it would be fixed. Moved us to another room with a bed and bath. It was actually nicer than the original room but did not have living area or kitchen. We left our stuff upstairs in the room and just took what we needed to sleep. Also had a dog so very inconvenient. Expected a view but neither room had any kind of view. Came to the beach and expected a window at least even if we didn’t have a balcony. Site did not have enough pics to know what we were really getting. Had other options somewhere else that would’ve given me a view, very disappointed. Just because I had a dog should not mean guests should be stuck in the middle of the building. Sounds were extreme! Screaming kids running up and down the hallway, running/jumping above us was so loud. Dogs hear every single sound! Could hear cleaning crew loud and clear before 8am. Could hear cars in the garage. Elevator was extremely hot. Instructions on how to get to the beach was obsolete. Had to walk around and figure out how to get to the beach on our own. Codes to doors were long and hard to remember. 

Mold, Loud, no view 

First I’d like to start off by saying that not allowing google reviews is just a shady as this building. The pool was nice, the restaurant had good food and the condo was a decent size, but that’s where it ends. We found a nyc sized dead RAT on our back porch on the first day. They gave us a gift card for it but took to long to come we had to roll it off the porch. It had been dead for a while. The pocket door was broke and my 1 year old son got his head stuck in It when it slammed shut.  The exit sign was hanging from a wire. The fence out back was broke and just laying there along with years of cigarette butts and beer cans. We paid over $5600 for condo 411 and I’ve never been this disappointed in my life. The inside was also extremely dirty and old hair clumps all over the tub. Dishwasher didn’t work, 2 TVs didn’t work and had to be replaced the second day. The balcony was literally falling apart. Stay away. Go somewhere else. Save your money.

Overall good.  We arrived early and they did their best to get us in asap.  After paying a $175 cleaning fee, we found an envelope on the counter to tip the cleaning lady. Similar to what you would expect to find in a hotel. I thought that was tacky.

This place is terrible!  Rundown, dirty, and outdated.  The rug in the main room was filthy!  The sofa was like something from a frat house!  Dirty and saggy! Everything is outdated!  The beds were terrible!  Shower door didn’t shut all the way and flooded the bathroom.Pools so small, dirty and outdated not to mention overcrowded.  Deck chair cushions worn out and filthy.  Please stay somewhere else.  I wish someone had warned us.  It’s not cheap to stay here either.  Just gross!

Do not go here!

This place is absolutely disgusting. This condo is overrun by roaches and no one—SBV or the actual condominium office seemed to care. This condo needs general maintenance and thorough cleaning. Curtains and couches are stained, the floors are nasty, the dishes/pots/pans are gross, and the dryer and dishwasher are both problematic. I have never stayed somewhere so neglected (especially at the $2000 rate/week). Outside the condo isn’t much better. The elevator has paneling falling down and the smell of marijuana is strong all day and all night. The pool area is not maintained well. It is gross and much smaller than depicted online. The ONLY nice thing about this place is the proximity to the beach.

We visited pre-Covid and had a nice time. The location was fantastic and the condo was nice.  We were planning to visit again this summer and booked a condo through the main website (not VRBO, etc) but we had to cancel our plans.  As we found out, a 4-month lead-time on a cancellation means 'no refund'.

Shame on me for not reading the policy, right? I went back to my reservation. There is no cancellation policy on the documents.

I did a booking for a new reservation to see if I missed a screen -- no cancellation policy there either.

I could have called and asked -- but I didn't.

It definitely put a sour taste in my mouth.

The resort was amazing. We visited in November for the Annual Redfish Tournament. It was the perfect location. We walked out our door right to the beach and fished the tournament. We will be back next year!!!

Perfect Location and Amazing Staff

We stayed at The Gardens condo in this colony, renting through a private owner on VRBO.  The condos are dated and in need of several updates.  The provided kitchenware is mismatched and missing necessary items for a weeks stay.  There is no view whatsoever, kind of like staying in a submarine.  The check in process is not helpful for you to understand any of the locations around the colony or restrictions due to COVID-19.  This is advertised as a beachfront colony, but you have to walk across a parking garage and parking lot to access the boardwalk to the beach.

On a positive note, the condo is fairly large.  The ocean is very nice in late July, with wave sizes that 8+ year olds can enjoy.

Make sure your expectation aligns with the price of the condo.

Not as Advertised

Nasty condo, dirty and gross. Pool is awful, don’t sit on the cushions you will probably catch a disease or Covid.  Not accessible to beach and the surrounding area is slum like.  This was at The Vue condo.

Worst place ever!!

Pools are small and in very bad condition, they are dirty with almost no attempt to clean.  Due to COVID 19 they close every two hours supposedly to clean which amounted to a light spray on chairs only.  Thank goodness the beach was perfect and our condo was very nice.
