We recently spent a night at the Cabins at Autumn Mtn Winery while hiking the Long Trail. Brandon is a nice little Vermont town with numerous food options offered. It is conveniently located for shopping, hiking, biking, and just relaxing in beautiful Vermont.

Our cabin for the night had everything we needed and the owners were very friendly. Jen held a resupply box for us and even gave us a ride back to the trail in the morning and we GREATLY appreciate both! The ride was definitely above and beyond!

Our stay included a wine tasting; they have some very good wines with several fruity ones for those who prefer a sweeter wine.

The only reason I am not giving this location a five star rating is because the cabins are in need of some upgrading. They are clean and comfortable and the owners are working on updating cabins but the carpeting is old and bathrooms need an update!

We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location and Nice, Private Cabins!

We just got home from staying  overnight and had a lovely time! Everyone reviewing these cabins is so critical! What do you expect?! It's a tiny quaint VT town, the winery main building is from the 1700's, and cabins from the 1930's. Of course everything is going to be a little dated and retro! I personally feel like that's what makes this place super special and unique! I also love that this place is dog friendly.  My husband, our two and 2 friends stayed here overnight and had a blast! My husband, myself and the 2 dogs stayed in cottage 10, our friends in cottage 11. Everything is clean and tidy.  Love that they have microwaves and a tiny fridge in each cabin. Along with a coffee maker, mugs and wine glasses. Perfectly equipped.  AC worked great. We had an awesome tasting at the winery and ended up having a few bottles on the deck. It was so relaxing. You can also bring your own snacks or a picnic if you'd like. It was a bit too cold for the pool, but would be lovely to sit by the pool with a glass of wine in the summer! In short, we had a wonderful time and the owners are such nice people.  If you're looking for a quaint vintage no frills cottage, plus a winery (bonus!) this is your place! 

Retro cabins and great wine!

Not happy - you drive by place looks plain but ok.Once you get in no cell service a\c dont work.Cottage old smells like mold.Could be cleaner.Never again, they moved up from Mass.trying to suck your money out of you.Go to Middlebury or at least the motel down the road or Bluberry Hill Goshen.

Needs alot of work to update

Under new management, the wines were delicious! We only stopped for a tasting and so glad we did! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They mentioned the cottages are being renovated so we'd definitely be interested in staying here to see how things look. It would be nice to have wine sold by the glass and able to sit out somewhere to relax and enjoy the day, but otherwise it's a great place to stop!

The establishment has several differing names,
Jennifer & Jonathan Lutkus, I really feel sorry for these kind people who have bought basically a run down 1960’s motel. I must say they are ‘trying’ hard – but
there is so, so much to do. The place is like a time warp – which is fine if you like that sort of thing.
Our room #10 was large/spacious and clean enough. The fittings are from an era long ago, the electrics cannot stand more than 2 items running at the same time,
The toilet guts which I took apart was held together with cable straps. Although the welcome pack said there was internet in all cabins – NIL signal (That reads -85dbm)
so no connection, I did try once from the reception and got some sort of signal but no access came for my e-mails, so when staying 2 nights and planning ahead makes
life somewhat challenging. Then there is the spiel about listening to nature – well that’s if you can hear it past the Trucks and traffic even though the cabin was 50 metres or so from the main road. Then of course the temperature of the room, it was pretty cool at night, there was a ‘small’ fan heater which just about struggled to keep up (Was also noisy and kept me awake) so don’t know what happens when winter does arrive. Our road tour takes us 4+ weeks from Toronto to Nova Scotia 18 hotels/motels, and on reflection for the price we paid here we will be staying at Best Westerns for a similar price with breakfast included and with all mod-cons.
We like to promote private local establishments, but sorry to Jennifer & Jonathan I wish you every success in your venture – you will need very deep pockets to get this place somewhere near the 20th century.
Please don't make excuses - I would have brought these 'misgivings' to your attention but there was No one around at 10:00am when we departed. 
ps My wife informs me after I fixed the toilet it works better than when we arrived – need a handy man - I’m your man!

Old - Worn Out - Cold - Poor 60's Time Warp

Make no mistake...this is not a quaint Vermont inn. This is a set of downscale cabins with some serious limitations. The cabins are run down, the hot water reeks of rotten eggs (sulfur), and the windows are in poor condition. We heard animals scurrying above the ceiling at night. The breakfast was disappointing...pour hot water into instant oatmeal, condiments displayed in paper bowls, etc. The staff are perfectly nice and friendly; we did not try the wine tasting. If you want a very rustic weekend, definitely bring bottled water.

Failed to meet low expectations

The bed is right, the bathroom is narrow and the bungalow is a little warm in the summer, no air conditioning, no fan (something for the price!). But in this small town of Brandon in Vermont everything is expensive, but charming to see especially its shops, French Resto as the name suggests but good and its small artificial waterfall.

We stayed at the Cozy Cottages last night. It was a lovely cabin, number 3.  It had a bedroom with a queen bed, and also had 2 twin beds.  It felt like a blast from the past, the kind of cabin my folks used to takes us to. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of towels and linens. My daughters loved the pool.  There was a nice continental breakfast served in the morning with homemade waffles, oatmeal, cereal, toast and bagels. 

Lovely Night at Cozy Cottages

We arrived in Brandon, Vermont, on a Friday evening relatively late, after hours of unsuccessful hotel search. The cottage was completely overpriced, however, fearing that we would not get accommodation, so we rushed to the cottage. The facility was uncomfortable, the furniture was old and wrapped together. The bathroom was the level of an old youth hostel. The whole cottage was sloppy in terms of cleanliness. There was no fireplace, etc. The hot water heater worked so that the room could be tempered to 15°C, also by feeding it. During the nights, almost no one tried to access the pro-morning cottage except by eating a frosty breakfast, and this was the cheapest thing to do in the mainland.
