My daughter and I stayed here for the weekend. Our room was very spacious and clean. Owners were pleasant and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.  Breakfast was very good and made to order. There is no TV in the rooms but we really didn't miss it.

Great hotel

We've stayed in numerous B&Bs and this one set a new standard for us!  Beautifully decorated with unique objects the owners have collected from world travels; super clean and comfy guest rooms and very nicely arranged bath and toiletries; several common areas, including fireplaces, a piano, game tables, all sorts of comfy seating areas.  All in a beautiful countryside setting, away from the madding crowds.  Oh, and at breakfast, once seated, you select from their menu, with items like omelets, pancakes, homemade yogurt, and other choices.  Two nights were not enough.  We'll be coming back!

This Place Sets the Bar!

This was the perfect getaway from the city! We stayed here because it was convenient to the great leaf peeping areas and cute mountain towns. The inn keepers were warm and inviting, the rooms were immaculate, and the breakfast was hearty and scrumptious! They were so accommodating to us and we would definitely stay here again! It’s very close to town where there is a good variety of restaurants to choose from! The scenery here was perfect! We can’t say enough good things about this inn!

A cozy 2 night stay at a gorgeous inn!

my wife and I never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. I always thought that modern hotels were better. this is far from the truth.  this place is as good if not better than some of the hotels that we have stayed.  we had super clean rooms, no chemical smells like in a chain hotel. my pet peeve in a lot of hotels is hot water and this place never ran out of it.  the bedroom was huge and comfortable with plenty of room to put things. The breakfast was yummy and kept out belly's full until later in the day. And this was after hiking or biking all day. the dining area was intimate and cozy. It had nice views of the trees.  the rooms had no tv, but you did not miss it. They had a rec room with a pool table and games in the attic. Each night we went up there and I felt like a kid again playing those old  games. they also had a tv room with a bunch of DVDs and one night we watched Casablanca.  The owners were fantastic, always answering all our questions and constantly working and planning for the next guests arrival.  I liked going out the front door and our cars were there. no long walks to the parking lot. In conclusion this inn has made us a fan of the bed and breakfast.

new way to stay

was here for 2 nights for the Mad Mountain Marathon. Very nice place in the 19th century style. I love all the little details. Breakfast is made with love and even for the run they served breakfast at 5.30 a.m. Rooms are nice and clean with all ammenities you need. The host couple is very friendly and you immediately feel like home. This is the advantage of pivately run small hotels. Countryside is beautiful. Highly recommnded.

Weathertop Mountain inn, Waitsfeild Vermont, USA 7/2019

Perfect location with great views of the trees during the fall, if you are lucky enough to time it right! The lodge has fantastic rooms and facilities. Breakfast is delicious and very filling. You can watch the wild birds and try and spot the deer from the dining room during yiur breakfast. Lovely to come back to an indoor hot tub at the end of a day out. 
Mike and Lisa you do a great job. 

Perfect stay

I stayed here with a friend for two nights to run the Mad marathon. The property is very conveniently located to the race in Waitsfield and very comfortable. I found the rooms to be basic, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the hot tub after the race! 

We did not eat dinner on the property, but breakfast was included and is excellent. Everything is made fresh to order. 

I have seen a few negative comments about the owners in other reviews and would like to speak specifically to that. I found the owners to be accommodating, pleasant and hospitable. They answered all of our questions and were happy to sit and chat with us. 

This was a charming, homey and comfortable stay and I would recommend it. 

Serviceable rooms, clean, great food and location 

Easy access and parking. Eclectically decorated. We stayed in the Robert Frost room which was super comfortable. There is a warm/relaxing beautiful parlor room with comfy seating and wood burning fireplace. Owners/hosts Mike and Lisa were friendly and helpful with and dining tips. Breakfast was tasty and made to order though the french toast and pancakes were very hearty (whole wheat/grains) as opposed to lighter and fluffier (Something in between would have really won us over!) We would definitely stay again!

Wonderfully relaxing lodge

We were here at the end of foliage season and we were blown away by our stay. We had one of their customized dinners which was of a quality comparable to anything NYC has to offer at very affordable prices. We had a Mediterranean oriented option with superb spicing and ingredients from the local farms in the area. The rooms are perfect for people looking to use the lodge to explore the area or to ski. Another great attribute of the Inn is that they have two big public areas with great big fireplaces that are cozy beyond words. A great place to play a board game, read a book or just zone out in front of a fire. We will be back.

A classic ski lodge with extraordinary food

Wow what a find, the location is superb, Lisa and Mike were exceptional hosts, the room was cosy and comfortable.  Our only regret is we did not read up on the Weathertop web site about the evening meals they provided. These need to be booked in advanced from a suggested list of meals that are shown on the web site. We did not realise this at the time of booking through Booking .com and had to have our evening meal at a very nice restaurant 5mins drive away. Having said that we sampled the extensive wine list and the one we chose was very good.

The breakfast was excellent and if the evening meal was as good then we missed a real treat.

Do try the Weathertop Mountain Inn it is brilliant.
