A clean, Quiet, Pleasant, and well managed property for certain. My needs were met w/ good choices & options regarding personal preference for a private RV slip. Adequate size for my whole rig was also important. 

Exceeded Expectations

Beautiful campground, huge, private campsites, roads are wide and well groomed, easy to maneuver with a large fifth wheel. Location was close to Redmond, but was out in the forested hills in a very private area.  

First Time at Tall Chief

I love Tall Chief and have always had an amazing time.  This is my favorite campground close to home.  There were just a couple issues this stay but nothing to complain about or give a bad review.  I have already booked my next stay.

Love Tall Chief!

Absolutely love this campground and enjoy staying when we are in the area. Grandsons and extended family enjoy visiting here. Always feel welcome here. Playground appears to be very new. Too cold to try swimming pool!

Beautiful campground

Campground is wonderful, very quiet. Problem I had this time is that we arrived early (no worry to wait till check in) except for my husband had to call paramedics to come get him due to health issues. I tried to reach on call camp ranger to ask if I could drop my trailer somewhere so I could drive into Seattle to UW to be with husband. On call ranger called in and no backup ranger available, so had to wait hours for staff to come on duty to let me drop trailer. Makes me wonder what if there was a real emergency?????

Great Campground, some staffing issues

We stayed in a 50a spot and besides the usual NW power outage during winter months there was never any problems. The staff was amazing and the laundry mat was clean and new. Highly recommend if you can afford the higher rates. 

Long term stay

The staff is amazing, very kind and willing to help you or get you an answer as quickly as they can. The sites are level and clean. Each site only has water and power.  This is very sad considering the primum price tag that this campground is charging.  Once snow is on the ground it is very hard to move around the park as they have no ability to plow the park.  The cost of the honey wagon is expensive and requires you to set it up the day before.  We had the water freeze up on our second day and had to get maintenance out to thaw it out.  

Winter camping here is hit or miss

We were greeted with friendly staff & muddy pot holes once we arrived. our site had dead trees, leaning over the site & ready to fall, when we left a day early.  A storm of any kind snow or wind would be a safety issue.  

Sites were covered with slimy leaves and not set to drain properly so again puddles everywhere, for a spendy campground, sites should be graded properly and holes should be filled.  

Ladies bathroom does not vent properly so when one takes a shower the entire room steams up and the ceiling drips, entire floor gets wet.  The laundry room requites you to use a phone app with a credit card attached & if you do not have a modern phone you do not get to use the laundry.

Propane onsite is very nice!

All the amenities are closed for the winter but the prices reflect as if you get to use them in the winter.

We always love our time here.   Being warm and dry in October was a bonus.  It’s usually wet and cold.   The remodel on bathrooms is really nice.   We saw workers making the sites very nice by blowing the leaves around! 

Lovely stay at Tall Chief

While this location is absolutely perfect and is one of the only options serving the area, it is in disrepair (and has been for years). The roads are dusty (guests waste water hosing the road every day), and the bathrooms are filthy, moldy, smelly, and falling apart. If this property invests in an overall property and common-area remodel, and works hard to change its reputation, they will have an absolute gold mine on their hands. Build it and they will come!
