Most important thing to me in choosing lodgings is cleanliness and safety. The townhouse motel checked both of those boxes. Our stay there actually was very nice… BUT… After we left, I was charged $50. I called the motel and they said they would get back to me. I called every day for almost a week. They still kept putting me off. They said the manager would call me. They never did. Hotels.com got involved, and they could not reach the manager either. Then I was told that the manager had taken care of it, which they have not. It has now been one month, and now when I call they don’t answer. We did not have any pets, we did not steal anything (I had asked if this is why they had charged me $50 because they thought we stole 2 towels. There were NO bath towels in our room. I went to the front office the next morning to get bath towels but they did not answer the door ). We did not check out late, we did not trash the place, we did not break anything. 
We travel across Nevada regularly, and I originally had thought that we would stay in the townhouse motel again, but never again. I left a review on Hotels.com and tried to edit it after I learned of this charge and their refusal to do anything about it, but they won’t let me edit it. I wonder how many people have been scammed by the townhouse motel?

They charge me $50 and will not tell me why nor will they refund me my money.

This hotel advertises 24hr front desk. We arrived late at night, front door was locked, rang both doorbells several times, no answer, place was completely dark inside. Called the listed business phone number and got a recording to leave message. Disappointed- chose this hotel based on the reviews. Had to stay at EconoLodge nearby-it was disgusting.

Not a 24 hr office-

A clean, basic, comfortable, and well-located motel. Old-school in a good way. Park next to your room. I had a quiet & comfortable night. Theresa at the reception desk was very welcoming. A convenient place from which to explore Winnemucca, which is a fun town. Easy to walk to nearby restaurants & saloons if you want to. I’ll stay here again.

Nice old-school motel

Run down and not clean. Bathroom smells of cigarettes. Bed not comfortable. Hole in bathroom door. Some  furniture has seen better days. Carpet soiled. Freezer  compartment disgusting with who knows what is frozen inside.  I won't stay here again.

This is a very small operation run by one person.  We stayed 2 years ago and had issues with the heater not turning off.  But my main complaint is that they have recently re-charged us for a stay!  The owner refuses to return my calls, and the only person running the place can't help at all, and has even hung up on me.  Beware of this place!

Don't Chance It

Reserved room for night in Oct 2022. Office door unlocked but room empty, no answer to doorbell rings or counter bell. Left for dinner, returned to locked office with note on office door, different phone number to call.  Called twice, no response, waited another hour in parking lot (which was empty of cars). Left note in mailbox outside office with our info and that we needed to cancel. Tired from long drive, two hours past check in time, needed to find room elsewhere. THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR THE FULL ROOM CHARGE! We disputed charge with Visa but they showed record of our reservation and denied credit. Seems like shady operation to us. 

Beware the Town House Motel in Winnemucca!

Great sleep in comfortable, new beds. It's in a quiet location off the main drag in Winnemucca, easy to find from the highway, with friendly, helpful staff. We saw a previous review claiming guest from three months previous came away with a case of bedbugs. We'd like to state clearly - Town House motel does NOT have bedbugs. Rooms are clean and well tended. If they ever did have a bedbug problem, they've taken every measure needed to get rid of them. 

Clean, convenient stay in Winnemucca

Stayed there precisely 6 hours,  woke up at 3am with bed bugs on my pillow,  the walls,  and the bedside table.  When I called to bring this to their attention,  they promised a full refund,  which was never completed.   DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

The rooms were clean but one had an air-conditioner that was super noisy and the other room was hot with no air-conditioner, so sleeping was mostly non-existent.  Will not stay there again.  The price is not worth the stay.

The rooms were clean and it was conveniently located, a little off the main drag, so not much traffic noise.  For our purpose, it was fine.  But, there’s a reason it is one of the more reasonably priced motels in Winnemucca.  Forget about using the pool in the height of summer.  It was disgusting, with slime and algae coating the bottom and walls.  The lights in the bathroom kept going out and flickering.  The AC was cold, but very noisy, annoying at night.  There was a refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer (that didn’t work), flat screen TV with DirectTV.  We stayed for 2 nights as we had a mission north of town that took a full day.
