Cafayate

We stayed for a week in a bungalow equipped with air conditioning, a LED TV and excellent bedding.

Perfect and very well placed in the village

We were two couples... a carnival weekend. We stayed 3 nights. A cabin with two bedrooms, a small bathroom, dining room kitchen, an outdoor table with a grinder. This one equipped for cooking, etc. Electrical and microwave oven. Everything clean and in good condition. The impeccable pile, lovely space. A 3 blocks from the center. Recommended.

We liked it.

The heating is by cold, hot air that is in another room. I suggest you leave the room door open so that the heat passes. A haircut. The noise of the team scares your head. There was no hot water to bathe me with cold water in the coldest week, we were there on 17/7/17. The shower had a water dispenser that was inside and had to be held with one hand to get the water out through the flower, using a single hand to bathe should be common for Yoli but not for me. To watch it we ran out of gas and couldn't heat the dry breakfast. To those who seem good these cabins don't know how to live but the mattresses and pillows are uncomfortable. We just pretend to clean the environment, heat a comfortable bathroom and nothing good.

If you don't have a gift for a car, you don't have to.

It is a small cottage with a kitchen and a dry breakfast, that is, you leave the tray at the entrance early. You can cook there there there are tools. It is three blocks from the main square. It is not luxurious but it was all clean: towels and sheets. Compared to other accommodations it is expensive for what they offer!

They say they have a capacity for a certain number of people per cabin...and no doubt, while they are able, the cabin that played with my children, which was a bedroom and a living room with a bed, was small. The living room with an adult bed, the dining table and the kitchen...are approximately 2.20 meters by 2.40 meters...A disaster since my son is 2 meters tall and I had warned him before.. Nor does he have internet in the cabins as they promote it.

It's not what the promotion is...it's the law of the jungle.

The beds were very comfortable, it was clean, the shower and the water pressure were, of all the places I stayed, the best! early they left us breakfast in a small courtyard that each cabin has along with a grill. I also got to the pool, clean and quiet. Wi-Fi tubes are everywhere in the premises. TV x cable y amenities. The location is unimproved, just steps from the café, but nothing noisy. They also have a comfortable parking lot and lots of green space. We will stay longer (LATE CHECK OUT) to go to another destination, which in other places you can do a little extra.

Hermosas Cabañas!

Bungalows very small but very convenient, well located, very clean. Very friendly home by a French-Argentine couple. Breakfast (very good) is served in bungalows. Excellent price-to-quality ratio. Small pool area very nice. On the other hand, outside the pool area, there is no small garden or common green space (small disappointment).

Pleasant.

Very nice place, it has a living room with kitchen and all needed equipments, back yard with big grill ,bathroom and sleeping room. The place it self is very clean with normal size double bed and clean bed sheets, water are hot which is great when it cold outside.
You can park your car on the back yard, and there is also a swimming pool which is probably nice during summer time

The price is a bit high although there are highes prices in cafayate, the wifi signal is very poor, doesn't work in the room just infront of the main entrance in "specific angel"...
Reception was closed from the moment we arrived and someone has came to collect the money at the morning, the breakfast is simple with only sweets

Quite and cozy place to spend a night in

Cafayate has a broad range of accommodation, depending on your budget.  Being the wine country of the northwest, it attracts quite a bit of tourists.  Since we visited here over Laurent’s birthday, we decided to splurge a bit.  We could’ve chosen a wine resort complete with spa but I wanted something cozier.  There are a few places where you can rent cabañas which are essentially cute little cottages. We decided this option would be best for us.  We chose to stay at Lunas y Sol, a lovely set of cabañas complete with a shared swimming pool.   The cabaña was perfect.  Clean and cozy, there was a kitchen complete with four burners and an oven.  Naturally there was also a huge asado in the back if you want to make a barbeque.  There are ceiling fans in the rooms to help keep it cool because Cafayate can get very hot.  The kitchen has very basic supplies, there are no baking pans if you want to bake anything, so keep that in mind.  You also get breakfast delivered to your door in the morning, included in the rate.  Very basic with instant coffee but this is the norm.  The rate was not cheap but I think it was reasonable for what you get. For a cozy place to stay in Cafayete, these cabanas couldn't be more perfect

We arrived in Cafayate on a cold and grey evening in March 2012 and that did not help to have a good first impression of the Posada. The day after, the sun returned and the cottages looked already a lot better.
Reception seems to be closed all the time but key can be collected without a problem in another guesthouse nearby. 
The room/cottage has enough space but lacks a bit of  comfort.
Breakfast is lives up to the expection : as basic as the facility itself.
Entrance to the terrace could be barely locked which made us uncomfortable to leave some of our belongings in the room (although Cafayate is very safe).
There's a pool but it's state does not invite to go for a swim.
When we left, we could not pay with credit card. I guess it was a temporary problem and not that much of an issue as there's an ATM at the market square.
Conclusion : people who don't give much about style & comfort, will love it.  If you are used to stay  all the time in classy design hotels : look for something else.    
For us personally,  it was in the end (because of the beautiful weather) not a bad choice for our 2 night stay in Cafayate.
