I was in the shared room in December 2023, just before the crowded dates. It was a good place for interaction and connection with other travelers. Nico was the best! He helped me with an open mind and attitude.
Something to fix is the key of the bathroom of the shared room. 

Good place to arrive at the begining of the trip

Staff does not speak English. Strange for a place that is living from international tourism... 

The kitchen is awful, too small and missing a lot of things to cook a proper diner... the chopping boards are dead, cut in half and still there. Anybody who will clean this kitchen would propose to go and by 2 or 3 new ones straight on. 
It is minus 0 outside and not that warm inside, no blanket put on the bed, just a sheet... hallooooo it minus 0 outside... we had to put it on ourselves to get warmer during the night. And the heater does not seem to work properly either... 

Basically an hostel that has a lot of potential, but that is trying to put the cost down for no reason than encourage people to put bad reviews... 

Unexploited potential

The rooms are clean, the colchón is a bit uncomfortable, the breakfast is very precarious, just bread and jam, and every day the same; there was no variety of food. The reception staff and cleaning staff are unprofessional, they spend it criticizing guests regardless of who they are.

Much to improve.

We paid for 2 nights. The owner of the hostel did not let us into the kitchen to eat the breakfast we deserved. The floor is thin and you hear a person walking. Disturbing sleep We got up at 6 am on 2 nights. Not worth the bad sleep and the price. I will not come back.

terrible!! Dont get close!

A little precarious the room furnishings, fine mattresses, so the stay was not comfortable. Bad WiFi. Good heating and good breakfast. The location is also not good. The friendly attention of the staff is best.

 Normal accommodation

One of the worst hostels i've ever been to and im not kidding.
First of all, the manager is impatient for problems, the cieling squeaks by the steps of the people on the floor abouve (and again, it's not interested the manager). There is not wifi recpition in the rooms. We had a plugging in the shower and in the sink.

Disrecommendation

We stayed for a week at the Hostal de las Manos, the attention was very good, the room had a private bathroom and a bathtub and heating. The comfortable bed. The cleanliness of the room and rest of the hostel is always impeccable, guests have the possibility to cook and eat in the hostel.

Excellent hostel, very good attention!

In the end we decided to laugh at the experience we had at this hostel. It's a bit like staying at Fawlty towers, a British comedy program
The staff are surly and don't speak English, the breakfast is hilarious, especially given they place out their best china, which they lock away afterwards so guests can't use it. There are two women who lay five tables, you think you're going to get a proper breakfast, instead you get dry bread and a tiny pot of jam. All the kitchen utensils are locked away so you can't use them apart from one cup, and a couple of knives and forks. People staying here don't really smile, they mutter hello but have a haunted look on their faces. I can only say if you're look looking for a normal hostel experience don't stay here,  if you like being miserable,eating dry bread and dealing with people who seem to hate you for no good reason, this is the place for you

Air of depression

Poor and scarce breakfast, hard bread with low-quality jam and coffee or tea. The unattended and serviced staff, the cleanliness already had enough to spare us towels in 3 days without making the bed, just leaving paper and carrying the bathroom bag. The wooden floors receded the steps of the walkways x the hallway towards the difficult rest. The wifi was bad. We have visited several provinces and always noticed the kindness of those attending, but it was not the case. I do not recommend it.

It's a bit of a shame that I'm not being polite.

We only stayed a couple of hours but it was enough to allow us to rest. It is clean, tidy with a good design. There was a beautiful kitten outside.
