From the outside, it's unlike a single-family home, so it's hard to find. Rooms are big and inviting. Price performance okay. Very friendly receptionist. We were offered coffee because we had to leave too early to take the included breakfast.

The house, which has been converted into a small boarding house, is situated on the edge of the mighty Melk Monastery, on a busy main road and opposite a huge cemetery, a few minutes' walk from the centre of the small tourist spot.

We stayed here on two separate occasions in the last week.  We had the ground floor room on both occasions and that makes it easy for getting luggage in and out.  
The room is fully self contained and the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is adequate.    The bedroom is quite large.   The breakfast is nice each day.     To walk to the old town centre is about 10 minutes and 1km.   The walk to the abbey is roughly the same distance.   No off street parking but we parked on the street right in front of where we were staying each night.    The host is very pleasant and helpful.

Very quiet location, 10 minutes' walk to the centre of Melk or Pen Melk, spacious rooms, cleanly furnished with love a special breakfast (bioproducts, own flour linzer cuts, pot strudel, etc., large selection) The hostess very polite and courteous - I can only recommend this guesthouse

Recommended pension

The hotel is located not far from the center of the town of Milk. The rooms are bright, spacious, clean. The breakfast room is always open and you can go there and make yourself tea or coffee. There were no problems with parking.

i stay at this pension 2 times. A very nice place clean, good breakfast and wonderfull owner.They help you with good advise, is in a nice area of Melk near every thing.
I am sure that we will come for 3 time.

Guest house with spacious room. A cozy lunch in the form of a buffet. Very appreciated advice from the owner (restaurant, visit). Very friendly welcome and with a few words in French. Thank you.

Good quality price ratio

We stayed here in two rooms (of 4 in the Pension) with my son’s family on the way back to Munich from Budapest - it’s a nice 4-hour drive from both.  The town is a pleasant town on the Danube, dominated by the Abbey which looms above it and is well worth a visit.  The Pension is located about 400 meters above the town center, an easy walk, and is easy to locate.  The rooms are clean, spacious and very adequate for a night’s stay.  The hostess speaks English and was extremely helpful with all of our needs.  The rooms, all on the second floor (1st floor European), are adjacent to a small breakfast room, where there was a nice, cold breakfast spread, with a good variety of breads, cereals and meats.  The cost is very reasonable, making this a good budget stop for Melk, with easy access in & out, to the town and the Abbey.  A very pleasant stay!
