I would say It is a typical 3star hotel but for me and my husband it was one of the best 3star hotel we've ever stayed. First, we had a half broad and the food was delicious! The rooms are very spacious, clean and warm. There is a free parking right in front of the hotel. The staff is very polite. They have a spa area with a pool of a dissent size and the water is warm. They have a sauna but I assume small cause it was always crowded. They offer different types of massages for excellent prices. 
Its 1km from the gondola, but we had a car so it wasn't a problem for us, though a shuttle bus service runs frequently. It's also in a walking distance from city center, just a short stroll away from the busy caffees and restaurants.
All in all, we would absolutely go back again! Looks a but old dated (specially the spa can use a renovation) but it feels warm and cozy.

Great deal, excellent value for money

Words can not explain how bad this so called hotel is! First, keep in mind that there are TWO parts of this hotel. One, with less then average hotel rooms and the second part is outside of the actual hotel. You enter in the hotel, pass the corridor, exit on the cold and open space, walk, enter another corridor and there you have it. 4* hotel in Bansko!!! OMG! So bad and so terrible! 

The staff speaks NO ENGLISH what so ever!

The food. Oh. God. Sliced bread. No orange juice. No juice at all. Tasteless food. Crappy atmosphere in the eating area. No music. No heat. No nothing. What can you expect when this is happening in the basement?! 

Services? NOTHING! They don't even changed towels. 

You can actually here every conversation that the people make in the rooms next to you. So, sleeping quality - NONE!

Wi-fi only in the first object. But, in the lobby is the best signal.

Bad, just bad and miserable.

SO BAD AND MISERABLE!!!

The staff barely speaks english. No soap, shampoo or at least toilet paper in the bathroom. The room walls were dirty and stained. The floors were cleaned in 2 minutes with smelly and dirty water. I really think they use the same water in every room. During the day there was we no cold water because of some works in front of the hotel. The bed sheets were yellow and with holes inside. We had breakfast and dinner included in the room price. It was a free buffet but the food was delivered from another location. Very bad quality for food. Some of us had food poisoning from their dinner. They do not have a kitchen. We asked for some hot water for a tea and they refused us. Be aware that if you go there you should take sheets, towels, a kettle and some disinfecting solutions. The water in the pool is cold, not clean and the steps are slippery and gross. The spa consists of a steam bath but with a funny smell inside and the sauna works at max 70 degrees C. Best to avoid it though.

Worst ever!!!

2 stars for this hotel is more than enough. We rent a studio for 2 nights. The hotel is about a kilometer from gondola station so you need about 10-12 min walking up to there. The size of the room was ok very comfortable but.. We went there exhausted from skiing at 17:30 and they said the room was not ready yet. We were waiting for one more hour when they informed us that the room was finally ready.. At 18:30!! Actually, the room was never ready and cleaned from the previous guests. We step into and there was no toilet paper at all. We went to the reception to get some. Then we realized that there were no towels at all. We went to the reception again and they said the laundry was not ready and they will give us the towels in 40 min. We had to go to the reception bcz there was no telephone in the room to contact them. After 5 hours skiing we needed 3 hours to get the necessary things in our room. They never cleaned the room, we were sleeping 2 nights at the same linen with the previous guests. The cleaners outside of our paper walls were talking and laughing the whole evening so if you want to take an evening rest after skiing it is impossible. There was no wifi at all in our studio. Sorry guys but some things are standard even for an one star hotel. We are going to Bansko continuously and we will never choose your hotel again. Put one star on your tabel, drop your price 40% and then we will rethink of choosing your hotel again.

I do not recommend this hotel.
- cold rooms
- bathroom ventilators don't work
- hot-tub is ALWAYS out of order (some timeseven the sauna)
- steam-room makes warm steam (not hot)
- cold water in the pool
- cigarette smell in the rooms
- cooking smell on the hallways
- the same food menu every day

A lame second-hand hotel

The worst hotel I've ever been to was old and down. Very unfriendly staff, only one of whom spoke English (one of whom was nice and always tried to help). The rooms were okay but you could see and feel (mattresses, furniture) they were old, the bedding was old and the blanket stinked. No hot water all the time only sometimes. Room temperature was ok (warm). Food was of inferior quality to undigestible to drink.

Warning from this hotel

I visited this hotel in mid-January 2015. The hotel has the minus: cold rooms, bad hot water flow, good food, indoor swimming pool with sauna and hamam, it's not really close to the elevator, but in the evening you can go out and walk to the center and back, walk through shops and taverns.

Good price-quality ratio

A good hotel, located by the river, 700 metres from the lift and 200 metres from the main pedestrian, tourist street. The rooms are good.

Hotel Banderitsa

The food is delicious, the rooms are upstairs and inside the yard, it's better away from the elevator, there's a shop around the corner, there's everything.

The skis

Been to the hotel 3 times, in 2009, 2010, 2014, the staff doesn't change, the shuttle bus runs on time, decent kitchen, good swimming pool and spa center. The rooms are cleaned every day, come in season and not season and the hotel is always full of tourists.
