After a week's road trip, we stayed there for one night. The reception was one of the best of our holidays despite the language barrier. The room was clean and spacious. Dinner was very pleasant and we discovered a delicious bag. We would have liked to have stayed there longer if it wasn't so isolated (but very close to Rhozen monastery and Melnik town).

For the reception, the kitchen and the peace.

We fell in love with this hotel from the pictures on the internet and it was even better in real life.  The hotel is in a lovely traditional style, inside and out, with the rooms facing onto a pleasant sunny courtyard.  The location is superb - just on the edge of Rozhen village and about 2km away from the monastery, perfectly placed for exploring the nearby countryside and surroundings.  It is about about 6km from Melnik so away from the busy tourist area, and very peaceful and completely silent at night.  It was very easy to find and there is free parking just outside the courtyard gate.  The lady who greeted us was friendly and welcoming, her English was limited but enough to get by.  She gave us a welcome glass of their own wine each which was a nice touch.  The room was clean but basic (no fridge, no safe) and not very big, but it was OK for us as we were only staying one night.  The bed was a proper double bed and very comfortable.  The bathroom was clean and spacious.  The wifi was good and there were sockets next to the bed which is very handy.  The included breakfast (French toast, jam and cheese) was homemade and delicious, not a lot of it but can’t complain as the room is already very good value for money by western standards even without breakfast.  The restaurant is decorated in traditional style and also has outdoor seating in the courtyard which is where we had our breakfast - lovely view onto the mountains.  We had planned on having dinner there but arrived later than we intended and were too tired after an early flight and a long day driving!  Our only complaint is that we booked and paid for a superior room but we were actually given a standard room (exactly the same standard room as shown in the photos on booking.com).  No offer of any money back for not getting the room we booked and the lady’s limited English made explaining the situation impossible.  It wouldn’t stop us returning but we would be more careful next time.

Beautiful traditional building, peaceful location

We had booked two nights at the end of our trip to enjoy the gastronomy and the winery, excellent as advertised on the Internet, and our surprise was to find a hotel without customers, without staff (only a gentleman who spoke nothing but Bulgarian), without heating, without food service (although having breakfast included in the reservation)... That is, UN DISaster! If that is your policy outside the summer season you could warn by booking and not deceiving people with your comments and photos with bottles of wine and delicious food that you can't eat.

Make sure it is habitable.

The hotel is very nice, clean and cozy. The staff are very kind, and the dishes are very delicious. We were with a little child for which there was a large yard to run. We will be glad to come back here again. I recommend it!                  

Very nice place!

Friendly hosts, delicious food, comfortable rooms, green and quiet environment.

If you want to escape from the summer heat in Melnik, but still want to visit this picturesque little town, Dinchovata kashta is the place for a good accomodation.

Perfect for the job

The rooms were clean and warm. The food was very tasty. They have wonderful winery with home made wine. If you want to have a nice and calm stay we strongly recommend. the Rojen Monastery is only a 5-minute walk away

Lovely place with very nice host

We were alone in this place where only the birds make noise This place is charming, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the food is good and the host is in the least care....what more can we ask?

The Little Paradise

It's a charming little hotel in the country, very welcoming in a typical setting. At the restaurant level, excellent quality price, fresh food and fast service. You can eat gluten-free for celiac people.:)) Nice and fun owner!

Charming and friendly

It takes a lot of heart to stop there. We don't regret it for a second. Super hostel from the bosses, with little care for us. Three beautiful rooms worthy of a 3-star hotel in the city in a superb renovated dressing room. At dinner time, the lady leaves the reception for the ovens and the gentleman starts to serve. Both are perfect in their role.

It's a good one.

I visited with my family (including toddler daughter) and the hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is sparkling clean, it was very quiet during the night, the air was clean, and the setting spectacular. The hotel is a bit remote, but if you have a car, you can be in the nearby town of Melnik in 15 minutes. This is a great base for exploring the larger area.
