I stayed solo at Hostel Mostel in VT for 2 nights 
I’ve stayed at their sister hostel in Sofia on May occasions and never been disappointed 
Easy to follow instructions via WhatsApp for door and key safe codes A number to contact if there’s problems and the price of your stay all well detailed in the message 
Friendly helpful staff 
Great kitchen and dining area 
Comfortable and clean chill out zone 
Clean throughout the whole hostel 
Absolutely recommended for any type of traveller

Fabulous place

+ Amazing price for HB. Convenient location - you can walk to all the attractions, near the entrance - park the car. The staff is super friendly. The room is small, but clean, the bed is comfortable. There is a living room, terrace, people hang out there - but not noisy. - · Dinner.

A Very nice and friendly place!

A great place to have fun and relax. The hostel is situated in an authentic Bulgarian house. It is very clean and the hosts are very friendly. You get a breakfast and a dinner. You get to experience the old town and the bars in the region. 

Best place in Veliko Turnovo

I went to veliko turnovo for 2 days by myslef . I stayed in this hostel and I was so happy because they gave me food for free. Every day at 7pm they share food with their guest. Besides, the facilities are great. Bathrooms work perfectly, there is a big common room were you can chill out, sit or lay down in the floor and listen music, be on your computer or just share with others. The rooms were clean and spacious. The place is located 20 min walking from the center. But very close to the castle ! I totally recommend this place . All the best and good luck folks ! 

Great house to stay, friendly staff and tasty food. 

I stayed in Hostel Mostel for about a month and it was so far the best hostel experience I've had. The staff is super friendly and the quality of the installations are top notch, the dorms are spacious and clean, there are lockers, a BBQ pit, a nice terrace, the private rooms are cozy and well, you can have the privacy you desire at a very good price, there is breakfast and vegetarian dinner with a glass of beer included if you choose the option when doing your booking which is totally worth it, that is a nice touch for a hostel, laundry service is also available at a very low cost, the hostel is located in a very quiet area of Veliko and very close to the Fortress which is one of the main attractions in the city, also very close to the train and bus stations. Randy, Nataliya and Neggy are great hosts and will make you feel right at home, you will definitely enjoy your stay in Hostel Mostel, my highest recommendation!

Simply the best hostel in Veliko Tarnovo!

It’s a great hostel.a miniature version of the one in sofia. It’s not far from the bus station and the walking street but that’s discounting the gauntlet of townsfolk, who are the worst, most sadistic people I’ve ever met. No hyperbole, no joke, no exaggeration.

I was the only customer in front of four people who earn there living selling bus tickets. Three didn’t look up, one lied his head off.

And then it got worse.twenty minutes walk down a windy street I was in front of the hostel and I wasted which of the two cobblestone path is the correct one. Two shop workers went out of there way to lie and send me off on a third street. ( these people spend their licpves 5 seconds from the hostel, and they are small streets..so the only purpose is to have a bit of power over me for a very short time)

The third guy was worse.

This odd sadistic pleasure was repeated a few more times this afternoon.

I have no idea how the breakfast or dinner are..I’m sure they’re great
The cats are sweet, one is in my lap right now.
The fortress had been rebuilt but i don’t give my money to people who hate me..so I’m leaving. Not tonight but sooner than I had planned.

Best little hostel in the worst town

Stayed 1 night in a dorm room, which was spacious and comfortable (with lockers). However even though Hostelworld says breakfast, dinner and beer are included, in the bottom the text states that the food and drinks are not included in rooms cheaper than 8eur (ours was 7.5eur). You can buy it additionally but would be better to just include it in all prices, we felt quite excluded when many others were having fun on the dinner. Breakfast is good tho! Staff was a little rude. Location is ok.

Good hostel but check the fine print

Really friendly and sociable hostel with comfortable beds and helpful and friendly staff. Reasonably priced bed as well as a reasonably priced breakfast and dinner also available from the hostel. Nice location too.

Fantastic hostel

I was only there for one night but it was bright, it had a friendly vibe, helpful staff, big lockers, really nice risotto for dinner, a pleasant garden, can't find anything negative to say about it really. Great hostel!
