The first driver was poor and didn't know the place at all. He took us back to the city center and wanted only his $2.00 thanks to the young lady from the pizzeria who helped us and spoke English. She found us a competent tuk-tuk driver who took us straight to the right port. It's $2.00 US to get there from downtown. The first driver was poor and didn't know the place at all. We took the bus here in the heart of authentic Cambodia and you're probably going to see the only tourists with a lot of us if you're looking for a lot of money. So let's organize a second tour to the French company so we can have a nice French lunch because it's not worth $2.00 US dollars because you didn't have a nice

Good for the price paid.

We felt like we were welcomed by friends. Thomas lived in France and he knows how to tell us about Cambodia and inform us. He always has a quick solution to everything we need and he knows how to share good times with us. Even if the guesthouse is a little out of focus it doesn't matter how good we are. I highly recommend it.

Like at a friend's house.

A bit out of town but right in the middle of a village. The owner is very helpful and one of the few places where we could rent a motorbike . Having wheels made it easy to visit the French tower and the temples. Also one of the few places where one can refill drink bottles.

Authentic

On the banks of the Mekong, a little cool wind, a hotel that offers comfort, services, the kindness of Thomas, the kindness of his wife, a small restaurant just across from the Khmer for rice nostalgia, ask and you will be served, a motorbike to rent, there is, there is wifi, relaxation, inserted in a village, you are two steps away from the city.

We really liked this small family hotel immersed in a genuine Cambodia. Thomas, the owner, is a Cambodian-born Frenchman who came back to create and run this hotel, warm welcome, we feel at home, we even shared a motorbike ride and a dinner at the night market with his whole family and full of friends who have his friendly character. The rooms are simple but clean, some with air conditioning, others only ventilated. The hotel is a little out of town in a river that overlooks the street with a small local market. My place to stay in Cambodia, I recommend.

A small family hotel in an authentic setting

If I had the chance to get a six-star rating I'd do it... super welcome, with Thomas hosting the guesthouse, very friendly, respectful and speaks French. The rooms are new and clean, I've had a really good time here, the location is a little out of town but I think that's what makes it charming, while along the Mekong.

It's a great place to stay.

The guesthouse overlooks the Mekong, which can be admired from the terrace to the top floor. The rooms are simple, with bed and bathroom as used in Cambodia, extremely clean and orderly. The owner is very friendly and willing to involve you by offering city tours and dinner at the market with his family. It is only a short distance from the center, so you need a means to get around, but you have immersed yourself in local life.

Guesthouse on the Mekong

The friendly, family and protective welcome of Thomas brings me into contact with former teachers and mayors who refused to leave their villages. They welcomed me as a guest. I spent a very rich morning meeting and exchanging. One of the warmest moments I will remember for the rest of my journey.

A lonely traveler's immersion in an authentic, family-friendly Cambodia.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 6 week self guided cycle tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. This place is a reasonable option. The rooms were clean and spacious and we opted for AC that worked well during our 3 night stay. Drinking water is provided to refill bottles (✔) Our bathroom was designed for the sink water and shower water to flow over the very shiny tiles to a drain in the corner. Unfortunately the doorway was the lowest point in the bathroom, so we had an inch of waste water over shiny tiles for the duration of our stay. There was a steady turn over of guests whilst we were there- mainly French, but there were backpackers, families, long term travellers and oldies like us. Thomas was helpful with information and helped us with our next booking over the phone. Breakfast was ok for an additional $2. They will also provide dinner for $5 and we had 2 dinners. Although this place is out of town, there are other cheaper options very close by for food if preferred. We enjoyed our days here, with a few side trips possible.

There are no staff in the hostel (except occasionally the girl of the boss if she is not at school), no reception, no desk.There are no employees on site (except occasionally the girl if she is not at school), no reception, no reception.
I stayed 2 nights (1 standard 6 $, 1 wide 8 $) and in both cases the room and bed not at all comfortable. Boss nice but not easy.
The hostel is eccentric but not calm.
For the same price, quiet and super comfortable room in the city center.
