Absolutely the worst place you could stay in kampot. Lots of stones from ex quest raise Big Red Flags. Manager is a smart mouthed young girl who's uncle owns most of kampot. Frequently no power or WiFi. TV reception is crap rooms leaking water, jackhammer at 6.30am Mosque singing all hours day and night, KTV bar 50mtrs away playing until 3am. Pool is filtered 3 nights a week. Clean rooms once a week. And pay $85.usd for 4weeks electricity not using aircon.  This place is a NIGHTMARE. Do not stay thete no matter how desperate you are. 

Absolutely Terrible 

The think about hotels in Cambodia, is they get some things right but lack in others. 
Take Two Moons Hotel. This is a place where you can mingle with the local expat community, have a few beers and enjoy an afternoon of fun. 
The rooms are acceptable, clean and slightly above average price, starting at $200 per month, with your electricity and water on top of that.
What is not acceptable is the food and swimming pool. The kitchen is located openly next to the bar, and it looked very messy, there are people running in and out of the kitchen who obviously shouldn't be.
I had some meatballs, and also the curry chicken sandwich. 
Both were not good. The meatballs were dry and tasteless, the bread of the sandwich was stale.
The worst was the swimming pool, although quite large, you could barely see the bottom. 
It was filled with screaming, jumping kids, drunk ex-pats and what looked to be the color of urine. 
Regardless, I went back a few times to Two Moons because I enjoyed the company I met there, but I would never swim in their pool, or eat the food there again.

Couldn't have picked a better hotel. Great location and the facilities are good and well laid out. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as welcome and hassle free as possible. Won't hesitate to stay again next time in Kampot.

Fantastic stay. After exploring the city a bit we came across this hotel. Not seeing many reviews for The moon boutique I was nervous. (Later found out it used to be called Two Moons Hotel). The owner of the hotel met us at the front and was extremely polite, letting us check the rooms before agreeing to stay.

We stayed in 2 rooms in the bungalow side which were nice. You can hear the noise from the street but it didn't bother us. The rooms are extremly clean and the hotel is working on more renovations as they said they plan to have a spa by October. 

Highly recommend this hotel, was cheaper than one nearby we were originally going to stay as well.

Fantastic place with very nice owner

I went to Kampot to get away from it all and the Two Moons hotel was just what I needed. It was recommended to me by a friend and I was very happy.

There is a very relaxed atmosphere, very relaxing pool area, I was given a family room as I mentioned I would like a strong wifi connection, and apparently the ground floor was my best bet... I was not disappointed as I did enjoy a hassle-free wifi connection throughout... 

The family room I was in had a large bed and a smaller bed, a cupboard with fridge, bedside tables, a table and two chairs, a coat rack and a spacious bathroom with shower... there were tooth brushes and shampoo & shower gel... and hot water :) 

The room was spotless and spacious... perfect...

This being the horrible era of Corona, the hotel did not have any international tourists, but there we still a good few domestic tourists (like myself) , but it was never crowded... The pool area is large enough to never feel crowded... 

The hotel is within spitting distance of the river and within easy walking distance of the center of town and lots of shops and restaurants... 

I can recommend this hotel to anyone really... solo travelers of families...

Solo trip to get away... Great hotel to relax

Stayed here during a national holiday and had a great time due to the staff working here. 
Everyone was super friendly, accommodating to our needs and most importantly - genuine. We really appreciated the atmosphere of the place that was generated by the staff.

In addition, the rooms were clean, the grounds were nice and full of trees/plants and everything was reasonably priced. Everything we needed was organised, bus, moto hire etc with no fuss.

Thanks a lot guys, will definitely see you again.

Excellent Service

We chose the hotel because of the pool and the proximity to town and on those fronts it didn't disappoint. It was so nice to have a pool when the outside temperature was well above 35 degrees! There were enough sun lounges and drinks available if you wished. We ended up staying here a little longer than scheduled due to the travel restrictions imposed in Vietnam and the hotel was very accommodating and got us a different room for the remaining time so we didn't have to change hotels. The room itself (we stayed on top floor) was spacious and clean but the air con was a bit of hit and miss. If you had it on you were cold at night as they only provided a thin sheet and without it the room was boiling. I ended up having it on and covering myself with an extra towel. In the end I kind of got used to it and it didn't detract from the stay. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but the options looked decent. The location was good, a nice river side stroll to town. The next door hostel was quite loud late at night but I just used earplugs which are essential in Asia 😂 the value for money was excellent so I would recommend it for when you are in Kampot. 

Good choice close to town

The hotel is well situated, and the reception is very friendly. The room is large, the bathroom is clean. The pool is well exposed. The water is warm. The sun loungers and sun loungers are available. Wi-Fi is OK. They are very useful and do their utmost to help you organize your stay. Their seriousness and reliability. Didn't like the lack of air conditioning in the room, it was really hot, with a sheet roof. There was no small refrigerator to put drinks in.

A little more equipment and it would be perfect!

Every year we return to the Two Moons. Warm home, comfortable rooms, a very pleasant swimming pool (renovated bath sheets), well-maintained garden, shady spots. Proper kitchen. Attentive and friendly presence of the owner. Close to the center.
