Don’t let the photos fool you they are very misleading. Stayed 2 nights in a cabin. Cabin was clean and comfortable but that’s where it ends. Grass hasn’t been mowed since not sure when. Beach is overgrown with weeds. Can’t even fish or swim off the dock. Paddle boat is broken. No paddles for the sad looking boat. Rest of the cabins need some TLC. Volleyball court overgrown. Playground in need of repair. No one on the property to greet you. Had to help some other guests from another country figure out how to get into their room as owners were not answering their calls. Paid way too much money for what they offer.

Photos are very misleading.

This is not a resort.  It is rooms and some old cabins.   Nothing else.   Lake is 1/4 mile away and no beach.   Paddle boat is a joke,   Cabins & room  are decent but not worth the money by all means 
No pool table as advertised.    It’s investment property for the owner.   Nothing else.

The room was clean and pleasantly decorated.  There was amenities provided such as coffee machine, kettle, refrigerator as well as coffee, tea, etc.  However, be aware, that after booking the room there is an additional $45 cleaning fee placed on what one thinks is a fantastic rate obtained through Booking.com.  We stayed two nights, and the room was not made up, nor cleaned the second day.  I contacted the owner by telephone, to ensure they were aware the cleaning and make up had not been done, who advised that they only clean after the third night or upon our departure.  I was amazed as the coffee cups; glasses had been used the first day and were dirty and unusable the second.

Clean and Pleasant Enough!

This was our 3rd time staying at the Hush Lodge. This time, we stayed at cabin #2, which was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. It got really cold at night (-2º C), but the heaters worked really well. Ferdous, the owner, is very friendly and he is always around if you need him. Bring your own drinking water, as drinking from the tap is not advisable.

The customer service here is phenomenal! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful to me when there was a miscommunication on MY PART about a room I was arranging for a colleague. Instead of making me feel worse about my mistake, he bent over backwards to try to help me out of a mortifying situation. I was truly impressed and would strongly recommend this place. If you want to stay with good people in a gorgeous place - look no further!

So much beautiful nature!! 
Had a surprise sighting of a mother & baby moose, along with deer-incredible!
The majestic scenery, clear lake water and nice maintained natural trails were a pleasure to enjoy on the good weather days.
Small town charm plus wilderness
Stayed in cottages 1, 2 & 3 for a family weekend. All were pleased with accommodations. Everything was clean and well equipped with all the basics(linens, dishes, small kitchen appliances etc)

Great Nature Spot!

We stopped here on our way out east. We arrived late (10pm) and were provided with a front door code and a room code which was fine but I assumed if we needed their was someone available to assist us.
Unfortunately, during the night the fire alarm went off and all the occupants left the rooms and waited outside. We called all the available phone numbers trying to reach staff without success. Finally the fire department was called by an occupant and they took an hour to check out the building before letting us back in. 
The false alarm is not the motel's fault but SOMEONE should be reachable. 

After complaining, I was offered a small refund which was better than nothing.

In general the motel was clean but dated. The rooms were fairly small and the recreation room and dinning room are both currently closed.

It is a motel and needs more attentive staff

We needed a place near Bancroft for the Gem Jamboree, and though this was 50 minutes north, it was a delightful lodge and place to stay.  It had all that we needed, clean and comfortable, with a decent sized fridge, coffee machine, microwave and enough space for 3 (using the pull out couch).  We only spent the last day at the site, and thoroughly enjoyed the lake, using the row boat to get out on the water.  It was amazing to see a field for soccer, a kids climbing frame, a net to play badminton/volleyball.  It had all you would need for a great getaway.  It was also not far for us to go to the main street and buy some trinkets from Grumbling Grannies. The owner was so nice, friendly and helpful, giving us green tea as my boyfriend didn't drink coffee.  Considering the heat and being in the midst of summer, I didn't have any problems with mosquitos, though we did use bug repellent.  We also thoroughly enjoyed watching the meteor shower late on Saturday night in the field, incredible without the city lights and ambient light of Toronto.

A great weekend away

I am very fussy with cleanliness and I usually bring my own bed sheets, bedspread, and towels wherever I go, but they were not needed at this lodge (except for beach towels and pillows in the cottage), as everything looked so clean. We stayed 3 nights in cottage #3, then we decided to stay one extra night, so we moved to hotel room #12, as the cottage was already booked. The mattresses in both locations were comfortable and bother showers were great. The cottage had everything needed for cooking. The only minor problem we had was that the freezer was too small (just a bar fridge) and didn't keep the ice frozen. The same type of fridge in the hotel room. The owner (Ferdous) is very friendly and always just a phone call or text message away. We will be back there for sure!

We stayed in cottage #3 nestled amongst conifer and deciduous trees which could not have been more perfect for our needs! A kitchen equipped with an array of plates, cutlery, pans, cooking utensils--even a barbecue was provided, a comfortable queen size bed, a bathroom equipped with a blow dryer and toiletries, etc. When it was decided that we would book our get-away this summer, I spoke with Corrine on the phone and mentioned that my husband and I are tea drinkers and would if be possible for a tea kettle to be available. We arrived in a heavy rainstorm in the evening--the tea kettle was on the kitchen counter ready to go! Corrine greeted us with her warm smile and handed us a two-person umbrella for our use. The cottage was clean as were the grounds outside.  Both Corrine and Gord gave us helpful advice on where to eat, provided maps of recreational trails where we could hike, and places to visit in the area. We both immensely enjoyed our stay! Thank you for being such superb hosts
