BE WARNED!!
This review is long overdue. We stayed there for a couple years with 2-3 other families as the location is superb. Campsite is mediocre but you cannot beat the location. The owner Tim is aggressive, rude, grumpy and a complete jerk!
The only reason we kept going back is because of the location. We finally decided that enough was enough of him!
I would not recommend this place to anyone!
He knows that he has a gem of a spot therefore can get away with treating people disrespectfully.
Not at all family friendly. He starts off being sweet but then you see his true colours.
There are many many more accommodations available in the country where you will be treated with respect as you should as a paying guest.

BE WARNED - EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!

We had a two bedroom trailer with a complete kitchen and living area. Sure it's an older trailer and some updates would be nice but it was comfortable and in a good location. You get a BBQ and picnic table, fire pit and clothes line. Tim the owner is nice and helpful. Angela was great too. You can borrow a pass to the beaches. With the seasonal pass you will bypass the lineups and park for free (parking is at least $15). There are several beautiful beaches to chose from.  From our trailer we walked to Dunes Beach in less than 5 minutes. Run on the dunes and swim in the lake, spend all day if you want. It's beautiful !

Relaxing time by the Dunes Beach

We absolutely love this beach area, there are three beaches and one was close down due the flooding in early spring. We stay at the Outlet beach, it was super clean (even the bathrooms), the sand is soft and water level are perfect for kids. It gets crowded very quickly especially for parking so it is ideal to arrive before 10 o’ clock. We went for three days in a row and the whole family enjoyed it to the fullest. 

Family vacation

My husband and I stayed at the Sandbanks Beach Resort for 4 days the first week of August 2017.  The resort itself was clean and the owner Tim was very nice and friendly.  He was always around making sure everything was ok.  We stayed in trailer 40B and it was very nice and clean and comfortable.  If I had to say one negative thing, in my opinion, it would be that our deck was too close to the next trailer's deck.  The best part of the trip were the extremely beautiful sunsets.  The views were spectacular - I will never forget them.  All in all it was a very nice 4 day vacation and close to home.

Most Beautiful Sunsets Ever!!

We payed for 2 nights upon arrival but only stayed for one. The sanitary installations on te campsite are way below anything I have seen in camprounds over the last 30 years. When we mentionned to we would not stay for the 2nd night, the manager on site refused to reimburse our payment. Leaving was well worth it, would never return there.

Not what pictures suggest...

Recently went for a week to Sandbanks to enjoy the beach, local wineries, breweries, restaurants.  Prince Edward County has it all!
LOVED the beach; both Outlet and the Dunes as they are quite different and worth trying both!  Felt that Outlet was better suited for young children whereas the Dunes were great for older children.
Very disappointing to see how people left garbage, plastic, and even doggie pooh on the beach!  Come on folks, let's take care of our countries' treasures like Sandbanks

Beautiful Beach

Instead of paying a lot in U.S. exchange rates to travel to the U.S., young families should consider this beautiful place with the same color as the Caribbean waters and only the absence of palm trees.

At all levels, I'd definitely recommend this ideal location for the whole family.

I booked this land in February or March and Tim had told me I have a beautiful spot for you near the beach! It's a campsite that seems abandoned. I plugged my water pipe and I thought it would stay in my hands. The embankment isn't strong enough for the air conditioning but that's a detail. Let's talk about the beach or Tim told me we can use the chairs even if they're frosty and it's not a beach. It's a water plan with rocks.

I will never go back!

Camping with a lot of potential but in 'lease go' mode: Nauseating listener in the trailer, mattresses of the main bed to change, no housekeeping between two rental places, photos of the website that are not representative, on the other hand, such a peaceful site, sunset on sandbanks dunes, walking access to the beach dunes, kind employees and owner.

We rented the house at the entrance to the resort, 6 adults, 2 children. It was gone, a mold smell reigns in the house, spider webs everywhere and we had to re-wash the dishes when we arrived due to food residue glued to most kitchen items! There is a common shower/toilet for campers, we used it several times to drain the bathroom of the house, the shower drain is not provided and yet everything is gone, you to judge!!! It is inscribed on the teaching that there is a sandy beach, we are still looking for it! The site is located well enough to go to the national park, in 5 minutes and 15 minutes. But if you do not rent a bicycle and go to the banks of the sand, it is too convenient to go to the beach!
