Helena and Blair have created a wonderful homey experience. Comfortable accommodations with modern and stylish furnishings. Exceptionally clean and organized. They provided all the amenities required. The breakfast offered a variety of choices that suited all level of appetites and preferences.   We would certainly return and highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Excellent experience!

We expected good accommodation — not just good — EXCELLENT!!  Clean as a whistle, completely updated Sailor’s suite, very comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast, made to feel exceedingly welcome.  Would, without doubt, comeback here — strongly recommend The Cove House to anyone visiting Sydney!!  Thank You Helene!!!

Exceeded Expectations!!

Breakfast had many choices, rooms were clean comfortable ,beds great view of the harbor would stay here again
easy to find and a short drive to Sydney and other attractions.Reasonable price warm welcome from our host this is the second time we stayed at this location.

On of the best B&B we have used, great host, super clean, friendly advice on local events .

We loved this spot! After travelling for a couple of days,it was nice to stay somewhere that felt so "at home". When we arrived, Blair talked with us as if we were old friends, gave us honest recommendations on where the locals eat, and really did an excellent job at making us feel welcome. When we woke up in the morning, Hellena greeted us in the morning and while she made breakfast we all chatted, again, it felt very welcoming and "at home". Our room had a private bathroom and everything was very clean, as well as the common seating area which was done up beautifully. You can tell they put a lot of time and care into not only the appearance of the B&B, but also the quality of the visits. Whenever we stay in Sydney we will be returning here!

Cozy

The Dove house is a simple B and B.  I had a room with a shared bath for a modest 100$.  The proprietor was both friendly and welcoming.  The bed was comfortable and the room spotless.  The bath was shared with one other room on a small hallway.  A great experience.  I will stay here again and send friends their way.

Friendly, clean, comfortable, good healthy breakfast

Dove House is absolute heaven. Helene is a gorgeous hostess who cooks a sensational breakfast and encourages conversation with all her guests. She is friendly and very helpful. Our room wad huge and overlooked Sydney Harbour and was so beautifully appointed we didn't want to wreck the bed!! Only downside was local restaurants are scarce for dinner and close really early.

Beautiful and relaxing

A charming lodge, divided into two adjacent buildings, situated near the North Sydney harbour, with a magnificent nautical view. Good breakfast presented by the hospitable owner.

A charming and welcoming lodging

If there is a place where a person would receive any more hospitality, I am yet to find it!  From the time you walk in, to the time you leave, it feels like home.  The rooms are incredibly clean and spacious, and beds are extremely comfortable.  You are provided all the essentials and the homemade breakfast, made to order, cannot be beat.  Close to the water, the ferry, and the town, the location is perfect.  Being right on the water gives you access to a beautiful view, and the sound of the water makes for incredible sleeping.
Very well-maintained, you are treated like a member of the family.
Would recommend this place to everyone and anyone!!

Spectacular

Wonderfully kept house with all amenities you need. Host was wonderful,  private room with TV and bathroom but access to kitchen and common areas. Wonderful water views and convenience. Love it. Would definitely return. 


Great house, gracious host

I'm having a hard time rating this one.  The house is a 100/150 year old house, but the rooms are modernized inside, loosing the flavor of the antique home.  It is still under construction, though perfectly livable.  Our room and bath were spacioius.  Blair and Hellena are accommodating, but do like to talk. The breakfast was more "short order" variety -- eggs any way you like them, sausage or bacon, pancakes, ...  not the creative breakfasts I'm use to in a B&B. The price was very reasonable and some rooms do have a view of the water.
