It is conveniently located close to the ferry terminal which was a big plus for us as we were heading to Newfoundland. We stayed in a small room upstairs that had a very small double bed and it’s own washroom. Our host Heather serves a hot breakfast and you chose your seating time. The breakfast was good and the B&B was reasonably priced-cash only though. We walked to the downtown that was 5 mins away. There was a Tim Hortons too for you coffee drinkers.

Old century home

The owner Is a great lady - friendly from the moment you speak with her until your departure. The building is an older styled home but has all the modern conveniences. Only minutes away from the Marine Atlantic terminal in North Sydney, and only minutes away from some great takeout food as well.
The sbed were like a pillow from heaven- one of the best sleeps I have ever had - thank you Heather for your hospitality.

Home away from home

We spent two nights here. Thanks to Dorian, we didn't have electricity, but Heather made sure we had flashlights for the rooms and a good, if cold, breakfast. She had bought a gas cook for the emergency and managed to make us a coffee. The other guests had decided to move to another accommodation with electricity, but we stayed and didn't regret it (the electricity came back unexpectedly the next day). The rooms are very nicely furnished and very clean. There were free parking spaces as well.

Good and friendly B&B

We were booked to stay in Sydney but power outages after Dorian forced us to change plans. Luckily Heather had a room open for the night when we phoned. This a clean and comfortable establishment and Heather is very welcoming. Her breakfasts are really good as well. Would stay here again.

Last Minute and Welcome Accomodation

A welcoming and well-intentioned owner; she gives us a good knowledge of the city. Very comfortable bed and very clean room. Lunch ready when we go to eat and it is warm.

Very clean place

I rented a two-bed bedroom last sunday with a friend, because i was stuck in North Sydney. Heather, the host, was very welcoming and accomodating, even with a very short notice. The room and washeroom were clean, my bed was very comfy. However, my friend complained to me that his bed was not comfy and had some kind of bumps that annoyed him all night (the bed closer to the window). The breakfast in the morning was delicious! Really a nice host, she made sure we had everything we needed. I paid 110$ taxes in for 1 night with breakfast for 2 included.

Welcoming host and clean room

Heather was very friendly and helpful as was staff.  The place had a lot of character and was very clean - which is always a must for me :) Breakfast was homemade, different everyday and very good.  Definitely recommend.

Heather was a lovely host! We stayed one night here as we were catching the ferry to Newfoundland. The room was small, but comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Heather made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was tasty! 

Great Stay!

This is a fantastc B&B. Nice owner, great bed, bathroom very ok, flatscreen TV, fast wifi and nice breakfast but... north Sydney is not a very nice town. We tried to find a restaurant within walking distance, the only probably somewhat good one (the lobster pound and more) was fully booked. We ended up sharing a pizza, not too bad but not what we wished for. So as a summary: we can highly recommend the B&B but make a dinner reservation if you don't want pizza or Subways or Tim Hortons!

Fantasic B&B but the town...

I stayed here with my family for two nights a few weeks ago. Our room as an adequate size with what appeared to be a recently renovated bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Your time for breakfast was reserved the night before and was good. The proprietor was friendly and helpful with local tourism information. The home was older with lots of character, original wood work and antiques. I would stay here again if I was traveling in the area again.
