Good value for your money. The only complaint is the bathroom need more cleaning. The tiles around the tub and beside the toilet were filthy. The soap scum was bad. The vent was very dirty. The rooms have been renovated, but they left a very dirty lamp shade beside the bed. The staff were very nice. They need better locks on the doors. I suggest a chain lock or deadbolt. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable, the room was comfy and had a nice seating area.

This was our second visit to this fine motel. Prices are very reasonable. The room was very clean and modern. Staff was friendly and attentive. They keep the grounds in good condition. Highly recommended! 

Best value

Car Club in town for a weekend show, this place is where we like to stay, as they let us set up our lawn chairs in the parking lot and relax before going out to supper at the restaurant next door which is absolutely excellent. 

Clean, reasonable price, good location

We stayed at the Saxony in Chatham for two nights while in town for a funeral.  It is a no frills motel but it is clean, reasonably prices and a convenient location.  The owner & staff are very pleasant and accomodating.  It is minutes from downtown and there are several reastaurants nearby and a Tim Horton's across the street.  We have stayed here four or five time before but this was the first time back since they renovated the rooms.  Will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Excellent No Frills Motel

I was looking for a nice , safe and affordable place to stop off as I was trying to beat the upcoming storm. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and updated very nice flooring and very nice bathroom area. room was quiet and off the beaten path. Was a great value.

Great place for a stop off on a long trip

The people who run this place are ridiculous, my boyfriend was staying here for a bit he had to room hop alot cause the would book his room to someone else before he would sign out ,he spent alot of money there answhat really did it at the last was accuing him of taking a towel and a sheet they were gona charge him 25 dollars for each ,,their cleaning staff obviously don't k ow how to do their job, cause he didn't take anything why would he ,he wasn't there for one night 

Poor excuse for a hotel and staff 

When I planned my trip around Southwestern Ontario I expected this to be the lowest budget motel, so wasn't expecting much.  In the end it turned out this was the best motel of all three based on price, location, service and room quality.   Staff was friendly and professional,  room was clean, although there was a bit of cigarette smell, but you sort of got used to it after a while.  The decor was outdated, but all motels have outdated decor.  Location was great, directly next to a high end restaurant if you want to go for linen tablecloth service.   The motel was affordable and the value was better for the price than the other motels.   Rooms were all conveniently located on ground floor so great for bikes.

Far better than I thought it would be!

I booked for 2 nights based on the reviews here.  What we found was nothing like the photos or the reviews. The place is not “newly renovated, it was refreshed quite some time ago. The carpets and doors are filthy and our photos will speak for themselves. We stayed for one night but left early. The sheets and the bathroom were clean but the rest was Dirty and not somewhere we wanted to stay.  My advise go to the Comfort Inn like we did for the second night in Chatham- super clean!

Disappointing

On July 17 2020 we stayed athe Saxony Motel in Chatham.  Check in was a breeze and we were in our room in minutes.  I was very impressed with the room that has been recently renovated.  They did a great job.  The room had two beds , nice furniture, a micro wave and large mini fridge.  No problem with hot water for your shower and they even had nice towels. The hotel is in a good location on the east side of town. Service was excellent.  I would recommend this hotel to my famiy and friends and if I am in the area again I will be staying at the Saxony Motel

very impressed with the Saxony Motel

We needed lodging to attend to a family matter.  The Saxony Motel was priced right.  Had an easy/late check in, very pleasant dealings with Cookie at the front desk and a clean room.  We were fortunate to have received an upgrade to a King room and decided to stay an extra night.  We were unsure of what we were going to get which is why we only originally booked for one night.  To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement.  Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.  Only negetative comment we have is that the A/C was loud when it kicked in (sounded like an airplane taking off) but we where happy to have a cool room.  Front desk had a continential breakfast but for those wanting more, theres a Tim Horton right across the street.
