One of the best palces to stay in Saguenay, you will find  many kindy locals that they will be ready to help you and make a friendship, if you like music and make friends, it is a wonderful place to live a hight local experence with the chicoutimians!!!!

A lovely place to stay to meet  chicoutimians

I stayed one night in this hostel during my trip thru Canada and it was definitely the worst hostel. The rooms are miserable, there were no lockers in my room and the kitchen was very small, too small. But the worst thing are the showers! In the basement of the hostel is a bar and the showers are in the same room like the toilets of the bar. If you want to have a shower in the evening, you have to walk thru the bar and share your shower with some drunk guys. 
There was a concert at the bar at the evening I stayed there. The music was so loud that you could hear it everywhere in the hostel. In consequences I couldn't sleep till 2 am, when the concert was over. 
I was happy that I booked only for one night.

Worst hostel

Staff: Quality reception. Top workers; smiling, helpful and well-intentioned. Guided tour of the hostel to my arrival, coffee invitation, apples offered, indication of the nearest supermarket, phone ready... small thing but offered with a natural unmistakable. The hostel: It's an old building with charming bcp. A little bemool about the noise in the bedrooms (grunting and parquet: knocking on old buildings).

Staying at the house in the dorm.

This hostel is running like a plague! The house is literally falling into ruins, the doors don't close, the walls are infested with nails and apparent screws and the beds have the texture and comfort of cardboard. In addition to this there is very little staff present, the hostel is very noisy because it is located on a busy road junction and it smells the beer constantly because of the bar in the basement. Besides this bar is located just under the bedrooms and the music is balanced every night until 3:00 in the morning, when it is not a rock band that is invited to keep you from sleeping all night. In addition to the toilets and showers are located at the bar, so it is impossible to take a cupcake in the basement.

Get out of here, you poor lunatics!

We had a family room (two adults, two children), there was no extra bed, although we offered it when we booked, we asked for it, we got it, but it had no sheets to supply us, resulting in three of us sleeping in the same bed. Used cotton cane that hangs in the room, sheets of dubious appearance... We even had the right to avoid water in our room, this one from the roof.

I can't rent this kind of room.

I am going through here, because my review at booking.com was deleted after many days in "awating processing".
I hope this can save money to others. We arrived at night and there were people on the backyard with woodfire singing and drinking. People were drunk going through that corridor, restrooms were dirty, space were smelly, mold on the walls. This is a old house that they don't care to renovate a little, unconfortable beds. Photos don't represent the truth. Lost money here and I went to private hostel in the last minute, because for some reason I didn't feel safe more than confort.

Terrible hostel and not what I expected.

This hostel shouldn't be open. The unsanitary conditions, mold on the walls, roof leaking on the bedroom floor.
The bar downstairs is some sort of trash place for punk and dogs, hence what a pleasure to discover the showers where located next to this bar. 
We had one night here and considering it was too late to book another place we stayed.
Awful night and awful morning with workers fixing the roof at 7am. 
I will contact la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Saguenay to report this place.

Should be closed

When we got there we didn't have our whole room, so we had to split up to get a room above the bar that closes at over 3 a.m. Music is loud and not any hard rock, showers and restrooms are next to the bar in the basement, go to sleep downstairs if you want to drink beer but not to go on vacation.

It's horrible.

Where to start... The smell of beer on two floors (because of the basement bar), the showers near the bathrooms of the bar, the warmth in the private room (no air conditioning, not even ventilation unlike the bedrooms that had this privilege), a bed that creaks and collapses with the slightest movement, the paint that squeezes, the sockets broken, a floor not maintained, no isolation (we heard the steps and conversations in the hallway and the neighboring dormitory)... We had to sleep the windows open: very convenient at night when the accommodation is along a very busy road and road.

Where to start...I experienced Hostel in the past and this one is probably the worst experience ever. First of all, there was a weird smell all around the property, the kitchen was dirty and smelly, dirty dishes was left in the sink, the upper bathroom was a mess. There was no soap to wash your hands and people left dirty towels on the floor. We arrived late so when we opened the door to our room it was really crowded and smelling not so good. There was no AC only a small fan. And it was a open concept where everyone can see you sleep. The sheet looked really old and don't get me started on the pillows, those pillows where so old and flats it was disgusting. I did not like my experience at all. But i guess that's what you get for 50$ a night.
