golf course flat, you can walk it, thought it was expensive for experience.  It had recently rained so some fairways were quite soggy.  Staff friendly and recommended other places to go in Wells Gray Park

30 minutes from clearwater town

We used this rv site as our base to travel and explore. We stayed 2 nights.  So lovely beside the river but the insects...get yourself well equipped with everything anti bugs. The check in was lovely and friendly and the owner driving around was a nice guy. Facilities were grand and you can't beat a hot shower. 

RV visit to explore

Lovely park and golf course. Really accommodating hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. We weren’t planning to play golf but we were generously supplied with golf clubs and had a great afternoon finishing with not quite the number of golf balls we started with. 

Wi do was good and free as well as nice showers and glorious scenery. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Glorious site, lovely welcome

Beautiful rv park, lovely accommodating hosts, great facilities. We had such a wonderful stopover here to visit wells gray park. It was an absolute highlight of our early season rv adventure- we saw wildlife, listened to the river, got to be bask in the sun, and had the pick of the rv spots (number 4). Our hosts were so accommodating and we did some well needed laundry during our stay too. Highly recommend!

Beautiful rv park

We camped creekside in our RV.  There had been a lot of rain & the creek was flowing fast & loud, but loved being right next to it.  It was quiet & we had our pick of sites.  All of the sites are very wide & have plenty of room.  The outhouses are in great condition. Unfortunately, the showers were closed due to COVID.
The heavy rains had flooded most of the holes on the golf course, which otherwise was in great shape.  The hosts were very accommodating.
Our RV site was the furthest from the office, so the wi-fi signal didn't reach it, but we were fine with that & there's no cell service.
The rains also brought the mosquitos out in full force, be sure to bring the bug spray
It's a great location to reach the main falls in Wells Gray.
In spite of the issues outside of the resort's control, we had a great time & are looking forward to going back when the weather is more accommodating!

Great hosts

A truly beautiful spot near the river. There was not any staff present when we arrived however everything was indicated clearly. We only could not find the sewers for the sanitary drainage. But I don’t know if we missed that.
We could choose our own place and found a nice spot near the river with a firepit. Great to sleep  and hear the river. free showers with hot water, paid WiFi (that did not work great) laundry machines available. The surroundings are beautiful!

The drive into the park through the golf course gives the impression of a smart well kept resort. However, things go a little bit downhill after that. The office was the first shock - quite shabby really. Then the sites - more like a parking lot, though we were lucky to get two plots at the far end, so had a degree of privacy. We did not see any mice! The washroooms were ok, especially the main block near the office, which had very nice spacious showers.toilets. Our grandkids appreciated the fishing lake and were able to hire or borrow rods. The catch of the day made them very excited, but would not have provided a meal even for the mice we dididn't see!
We visited numerous waterfalls along the road north and south, and found Moul Falls the most exciting for the kids because of being able to get up close at the base after a bit of a scramble down.

First impression good on drive in, mixed opinions after that.

We arrived in the late afternoon for a night with our over eight-metre RV, very large squares equipped with all the electricity, water and drain connections, our wasn't particularly tree-lined, small pool and most of all a laundry room with a very useful dryer.

A night in the camper

Full time RVer and have stayed in many camps, this one was one of my worst experiences! MICE INFESTATION!! Woke up to a mouse swimming my potty! Caught four more in traps before I finally left, not even a "I am sorry" from the owner just "the big rigs have them too" Owner is trying to charge me for a week I did not stay, had to dispute it with the credit card company. Campground conditions of tight sites, lots of outdoor food, uncleaned grilles etc. Despite the web saying stating" Internet service" you had to pay $30 extra a week, stand on the office porch and maybe get service! No cell phone service. Mostly dirt made for muddy sites when it rained. Lower voltage No resort but a campground at best. Mostly transient overpriced camp. Do yourself a favorite and stay at one of campgrounds at the bottom of the hill. Would never return.

MICE INFESTATION DISHONEST OWNER

First time staying here. The attraction was the combination golf and RV. The RV park is basically a large open gravel space with FHU sites away from the river. Our site was very slanted which required at least 3 boards on one side to level it. The water pressure also fluctuated from 25 lbs to only 5 lbs at times. No reason given for this. At least the water tasted ok. The golf course is only a 9-hole track with 3 sets of tees. It costs $47 for 18 holes. It is a challenging course with hazards, trees, and a 250+ yard par 3 from the back tees. It costs less the more you play which means you don’t know the cost of your stay until the end because the owner tries to come up with the best package depending on how many games you play. This is based on the honour system i.e. you tell the owner how many 9 nines you play at the end of your place. Can’t be easier. There is wifi at this park but you need to pay for access - $30 per week. Considering there is no cell service I thought this was a rip-off. Satellite reception is good depending on the site you get. We had to borrow our neighbour’s spare 2 ports for our satellite service. That being said you meet wonderful people at this place – like you do at most campsites.
