We met Marc, one of the owners, who was very personable and helpful. The room was clean and delightful and the grounds beautiful!  We also enjoyed the dogs!

I was very impressed with the signage and directions for everything. Every detail has been thought out for their guests and it shows in their handiwork.

It's a must stay!

I don't know where to begin!  This place is incredible. The owner was very welcoming and kind. No detail was overlooked, from the decor right down to the scent of the hand soap! 
The themed rooms were so unique, I wanted to stay a night in each just for the experience.
The room was immaculate, the beds and pillows were so comfortable. It was like sleeping on a cloud! The view was also spectacular. 
I stayed with a friend, and we're already planning our next trip. 

Don't overlook this place!

The absolute best place , this motel went way beyond our expectations from check in to check out.  The detail in the decor was phenomenal, nothing was missed, from the coffee pods to the outdoor fire. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating.  Truly a great experience, nice weather helped as well.  We will be back 

Don’t miss out on this place

We appreciated the warm welcome and the attention to detail throughout, this was an absolute oasis in our travels. There was cold water in the fridge, and a coffee machine with little fresh milk packets, plenty of fresh white towels, AC and a fan, super comfortable beds with good quality bedding and a cheerful decor. The room was immaculate and really well thought through. We loved the design and the care that is clearly put into creating and maintaining the whole place. On a practical level, we appreciated having a little kitchen and dining area so we were able to make dinner (using the communal grill which was great) and have a fridge for drinks and snacks. The fact that everything was clean and in good condition made it very appealing to actually use the kitchen. The extra space was a luxury after small hotel rooms and restaurant meals 3x a day. We loved the fire pit (we met guests who are on their 4th year, 7th year etc which is also a very good sign) plus the river front beach and the pingpong table were a hit with our kids.We are already looking forward to going back!

Total gem!  

This is an older motel, boathouse and cottage completely redone with remarkable style. The rooms are gorgeous, well equipped, comfortable and very clean.  It sits right on the LaHave River and the views are spectacular.   There’s a boat dock and swimming. The owners are super friendly and dogs are welcome.

Fantastic place to stay!

Terrific location, beautiful property, views etc. Stayed in the boathouse, right on the water, very comfortable room. Laid back atmosphere, really appreciated the BBQ too. Lots of outdoor space to relax, including large dock with Muskoka Chairs. Minutes to Bridgewater and the famous Lahave ferry and Bakery. 

Ideal spot to enjoy Lahave /Bridgewater. Great outdoor amenities, creatively renovated, super clean and tidy.

My husband and I spent one night here but will be back for an extended stay. The rooms are boutique, the grounds stunning this is a hidden gem. The owner settled us in our room and forwarded a copy of places to see and restaurant recommendations and made sure we new how to operate everything in the room, so much attention to detail. We lounged on the dock sipping a wine ( we brought ourselves) and just could not get over the beauty.

Spectacular property

My wife and I stayed here from July to Sept/2022. We stayed in all but three of the rooms on site and to ask us which room is our favorite would be like asking us to choose our favorite child. You know, they all have their own personalities, their strengths and in the end...we loved them all. Everything about The Lighthouse Motel is warm and inviting. The music playing throughout the property, the warm greeting and friendly service. I have never recommended a hotel/motel to anyone in my life...until we stayed here. I have told anyone who will listen what a hidden gem this motel is. I would highly recommend it to anyone out there considering staying at The Lighthouse Motel. Marc and his entire staff are a quality act that is rare to find in the hospitality business. Stay...you will not be disappointed.

A Home Away From Home

As soon as you park to the office to check in, you know you've arrived to a special place: soft music playing in the background, well-maintained flower beds, beautiful nautical decor. And then you get to meet the BEST host in all Atlantic Canada! Mark will make you feel at home the minute you meet him and will be available throughout your stay, if needed. Loved staying in the Regatta Room,,, can't beat the view! Great quality toiletries, well-equipped kiitchenette. Highly recommend the pontoon tour on the river - great captain and very knowledgeable about the area. Spent lots of time on the adirondack chairs on the dock, under the shade of the umbrellas. This place gives you the feel of a boutique caribean resort mixed with East Coast hospitality!

Recommending the Regatta Room... it's the best!

Nice quiet location on the waterfront. Access to a pub, a small beach with a dock and a place to make a campfire in the evening. The room is tastefully decorated and well equipped, nothing is missing.
