The new owners are doing a great job  updating the hotel. The communal area is spacious and comfortable. 
Joy checked us in and was a pleasure to speak to. Room was clean and comfortable. Will certainly be revisiting the Uptowner Hotel on future trips to BC. Creston is a friendly town with many amenities and fruit stands.

We stayed at the downtowner while we were visiting Creston for a wedding. We were very pleased by the service, as they was ever so kind to my wife and I. They came through on our every request and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We will be staying again once we find ourselves back in town!

Excellent customer service

We needed an overnighter near the EV charger and this was the closest spot. It was exactly what we needed. Clean, warm and quiet with coffee in the morning. Our room was spacious, the Wi-Fi was spot on and the shower was good. Location was good for breakfast cafes in the morning too.

Surprised by how nice this was

The smell walking in the door will send you back in time when this motel was built. Nothing has changed since then, the decor, furniture and everything else is dated. The air conditioner did not work, no plugins for charging. Person at the front desk will love me sharing my feelings, but was grumpy and rude. The only reason people stay here or put up with this grumpy McGrumperson is how cheap the cost is for a room. Maybe look at renting by the hour. Bottom line you get what you pay for. Looking at other reviews for this place you can see the common denominator for the poor/terrible ratings is the guy at the desk, so don't be surprised if you don't get the warmest welcome, he hasn't changed and probably won't. But hey Rob, the motorcycle people put up with you for the cheap price!

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE

I stopped for one night while driving and was very comfortable. This appears to be a very old hotel but it is clean and the staff was very kind.  There is a place for guests to gather which gives it a homey feeling.  I would definitely recommend it.

Quaint, friendly, comfortable

Didn't even get a chance to stay there. After driving from Princeton to Creston arrived late. Tired and thought to get a room there. The man was very irritable from the start so stayed at Creston Hotel. 

Not a nice guy. 

Do not go here unless you want to deal with one of the worst front desk attendants I’ve ever seen. Rude and condescending to the absolute max. Didn’t even check in. From outside rooms look old and run down anyways. Would not recommend.

Worst ever

Bad smell all over the building, we had to change rooms (from 2nd to 1st). Everything is old and in a pathetic state. Cold reception and indifferent to our dissatisfaction. It's not even worth $70 a night.

Where to Flee

Clean, comfy room. Coffee in the morning. Motorcycles were safe overnight. Convenient location, super price. Good choice for an overnight stay. The manager was definitely more friendly in the morning than when we checked in.

Good Stay

An older property in need of some refurbishment, but on the same token, it has a certain amount of charm!  Located in the center of town it is convenient to everything.  We were on front which made our room a bit noisy, but not worth complaining about.  Fridge in room with micro and coffee in common room.  Overall a pleasant stay.  Thanks
