Booked for a week in August and was not disappointed. Room was tidy and more than sufficient. Place was quiet, and kept very clean by staff. Great location, very walkable, and plenty of natural beauty around. 10/10 would stay again.

green surroundings, quiet and relaxing, excellent bus services, recreational facilities available, restaurants nearby, efficient and friendly reception

tricky to find on first visit so had to phone reception which provided helpful directions, had to open window to freshen stale air in room, unclear checking-out procedures

Great stay

If you are like me and hostel dorms are just not for you, then this might be the place. The shared bathroom was no problem and always mostly clean. Lots of bus connections to the city and access to a beautiful beach close by. Also some places to eat and shop some grocerys. 
The only problem for me was the missing plates and cutlery in the common kitchen. It's basically bring your own.
So overall cheap (for Vancouver prices) and simple stay, but enough!

Good stay if you're on a budget but don't want to share a room with others

Basic but well done - location is great - out of central vancouver but we enjoyed the cycle into town a few times (along the beach is much more pleasant than the google proposed cycle route)

Basic Dorm setup for holiday let at summertime. On Uni campus

I was given a room with dirty sheets and they weren’t able to move me to a convenient room. They gave me new sheets but the room reeked. Then all night someone was in and out of the fire door. The toilet paper was often out in the women’s washroom. The price has gone up but the facilities are as awful as ever. The staff seems nice but generally under trained and unknowledgeable .

Great Place, Staff, and Services! Rooms are clean and organized. Washrooms are clean. Cafeteria has good food, staff, and services. Front Desk staff are kind, polite, and helpful. Place is close to local transport. There are many amenities including restaurants close to PSH at UBC. Most of all, this place is affordable for the Common Man!

Dont have hairdryer and nothing at kitchen, just to advise. But is super clean and even if they say they dont have it, i was lucky to have wifi in my room. Team is super friendly and helpfull. Thanks you guys!


Very good value for money

There were no toilet papers available for an entire day! Additionally, for six consecutive days, no one has come to clean the room or replace the towels. We were provided with a minuscule amount of shampoo for the entire duration, and essential items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided. Moreover, the doors are in need of lubrication as they are extremely noisy.

I expect a better accommodation

The facilities were really clean, and although it was a shared bathroom I barely saw anyone else. No A/C but for May it was perfectly fine. The dorms are a bit far from the bus loop (~10 minute walk) and then it takes another 30 minutes to get downtown, so it's a bit far, depending on what your plans are. But for me it was definitely worth it for the inexpensive room cost! My only gripe was that the counter staff weren't very helpful....when I checked in they didn't offer me any info on amenities or Wifi, and the following day when I wandered by there was no greeting, they were talking amongst themselves. But if you've been to Vancouver before and know what you are doing maybe that doesn't matter for you!

Stay on a really beautiful campus!

This place really needs to be overhauled. How about taking the mould off the windows? A fresh coat of paint? A comfortable mattress? Can you give it some colour (bedding? paint? anything?). I felt unsafe. There was a woman screaming in the courtyard, and drumming out there for much of the night. The signage for the specific buildings could really be improved too. Perhaps a lit sign on the lawn outside of each building bearing the building’s name. I wandered around late at night on foot trying to find mine...
