The hotel is certainly unique with lots of character but felt the room was overpriced for the quality of the room. The heater took all night to warm up, the shower ran hot and cold, the original windows did not completely close. There was no complimentary breakfast as advertised. On the plus side it was very clean, the room was very open and roomy with a comfortable bed, a desk, and a couch. There was both a shower and a jet tub. We did enjoy a walk along the river just behind the hotel.

Pricy historical stay

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was very helpful and friendly,  the restaurant was  good, and the rooms are very spacious and cozy. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

A little Gem

We found ourselves stranded in Dryden  From the moment we spoke with the front desk they were nothing but friendly and accommodating. Service from all aspects were above and beyond. On a dreary day, we even had tea brought to us Highly recommend!

Unexpected Dryden Stay

We pulled into Dryden on October 6, 2020 around 7:00 pm and all the big name hotels were booked by construction crews. The last hotel we went to on the main road into town said we are full but the Riverview Lodge still had rooms. Only a 2 minute trip ff the main drag and it was a wonderful surprise! Situated right on the river and very quaint! Our room was updated with all of the amenities and very clean. We felt very safe in  regards to sanitization protocols. Highly recommend this hotel!

Last choice hotel

We stayed one evening out of necessity and on the recommendation of locals at the airport. Our vintage room was spacious and well appointed.  Bed was very comfy, and a\c kept us comfortable. We were missing a few toiletries but front desk supplied easily upon asking, stating Covid as reason to not leave too many things laying around. Very reasonable in my opinion.  We used the patio for drinks and light fare and were very pleased with the offerings and Covid aware service. 
We were very happy with the recommendation to stay here, and would stay again if ever staying in Dryden. 


Unique Accommodation

This was my first stay at the riverview lodge. The original building was built in 1910 and the hotel is dated but it is beautiful. The hotel is decorated old by very tasteful and its decorated that way for a reason. The owners want to keep the charm of the hotel.
My room was very large and very clean, I love this hotel and will be of course returning to this hotel for many years to come.
We ate at the hotels in house restaurant and it was fantastic I had the fillet mignon with a blue cheese crust and it was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody it's a must see and a must stay

Old country charm

We have stayed here a couple of times each year and the high quality consistency is refreshing. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable and staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. 
I think this is the best place to stay in Dryden and highly recommend it.

Excellent

Stayed at this lodge for one night! It’s a family run lodge, very unique and different. Our room was clean, but still in need of a refresh. Curtains are very dark and heavy, which made the room seem dark. But the beds were comfy and wifi and TV were good!! Nice breakfast in the morning too!! The restaurant for dining was Devine! Service extraordinaire. The food was excellent! Would recommend this lodge !

Rather Unique 

The hotel, viewed from the outside, has a solid and reassuring appearance, an impression confirmed by the interiors. The large grounded plaza in front serves as a parking lot. The room (301) obtained from the basement, is very large, as well as the adjacent bathroom with tub and shower. Negative notes: to climb to the room there is no elevator, but a rather steep staircase, not sure the maximum to carry on the suitcases; the interiors suffer from the weight of years and would not spoil a renovation, as well as a greater attention in cleanliness; the WIFI line is in fact latitude (never exceeds 0.25 Mps in download!); in the late afternoon it is strongly discouraged to stay outside the hotel, if you do not want to be assaulted by fresh swamps nearby, which inflict spills on the rivers.

I have now been twice to Riverview Lodge. What a friendly and laid back place. Service is quick and friendly, and you’ll meet people here from Dryden and environs, as well as from all over the US States and even Torontonians.. Ben behind the bar does
a great job, as do the ladies handling the restaurant and porch.. Current ownership has been providing this atmosphere since 1977.. Enjoy! 5 minutes from the Trans Canada..
