Recently, we visited this motel for a weekend getaway. The location was very convenient to not only Lunenburg itself, but also surrounding beaches. And the sunsets from the motel were simply amazing. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. One thing that we found that was lacking was TLC. This have been due to recently reopening after being like many other small businesses during COVID-19. Nonetheless, TLC is required. The motel does advertise as being kid friendly, with kids toys, bikes etc available, but most appeared to be in disrepair. The rooms were clean, but the window screens were coated in cobwebs and flies. Again, some TLC will alleviate this issue.

All in all, we did enjoy our stay and possibly will return to the motel in the future.

Beautiful sunsets

Had a great night at this location. The people running this establishment couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms, although a bit dated, were clean & comfortable. It is a small establishment with a hot tub, Mini putt, paddle boats, canoes, firepit all included... I do wish there had of been somewhere to swim however for the price & what was included, it was a great deal

Vacation

A group of four of us stayed in one of the two bedroom suites in the main building at Lily Front Motel and Cottages.  The suite was quite dated and the bathroom was teeny, but the bedrooms were spacious and the suite equipped with everything we needed. The building is set on the lakefront, and the views from the windows on the lake side were lovely. The drive into town from the motel is around ten minutes, so not within walking distance, but the price was reasonable, and our hosts were friendly.

The setting was idyllic and the owners were friendly.  The accommodations were basic but that was fine.  Since the cottages were beside a lake, it was understandable why there would be a lot of tiny flies that got in through the window screen.  The main reason we gave it two stars was because we found a silverfish in the bathtub, which affected our overall impression, which had previously been more positive.

Disappointing

Yes I am an oldster. I am not thrilled by tech or minute by minute excitement. I found entertainment from decades ago, life outside, the tides, the moon, and the sun upon the waters that border this gem. I Really loved it. I had everything needed and it was clean and brigh.

I loved my nostalgic visit to my vacations past.

Mark, our host was very friendly and helpful and even though we arrived before tourist season really started he made sure we had everything we needed and suggested The Pine Knot for dinner - where the locals go. It was perfect. The cottages are a bit tired but very comfortable and clean and charming. We had everything we wanted and we love a quiet place so it was perfect for us. The setting is ideal and the drive around the water into Lunenburg from the cottages gives you a perfect view across the bay for pictures. If you are a golfer the course here looks amazing. Wish we stayed a day or tow longer. One night not enough.

Perfect Setting and Drive into Lunenburg WOW!!!!

The best place to stay in Lunenburg! The cottages are nicely located less than a 10 minute drive from Lunenburg, away from all the madness!!! Also really close to a neat little place called, The Ovens.
We couldnt believe what we received for the extremely low price! FREE use of kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, BBQs, communal fire pit and free wood, and my personal favourite a lovely hot tub with a nice view of the ocean. 
The owners are SO friendly and made our stay all the better! I wouldnt even consider staying elsewhere in the area.

Best in Lunenburg!

The cottages are very small but have what you need,,,,close to the town,,,it is near the water so you can easily walk to the beach. the people are friendly and will give you advice on where to go and where to eat

Lunenburg

I was very disappointed with my stay. I always trusted Tripadvisor's rating and reviews, but this time I was blurred! I almost turned around when I arrived! Old motel, lack of renovations, dubious cleanliness, no air conditioning...not for nothing that there are no photos of the inside of the motel! I didn't like and I don't recommend. In fact, I don't understand why such an establishment is in Tripadvisor's offerings! Back in 1950...

Get out of here!

Room was clean, spacious and bed is extremely comfortably. And so quiet at night you can leave your windows open. I highly recommend room 7. You get your own deck with a BBQ and a direct view of the ocean. This room is set away from the others and is very private.
