Our small tour group did not stay here.  It was a stop by our Tour Guide.  Unfortunately, our mini bus had mechanical issues, just when we had stopped here.  May, the owner,  was so welcoming to.  She invited us to sit inside the kitchen since it was chilly out.  We had decided we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the views and sunshine.  She felt so bad for us since it was lunchtime, and did not have lunch to offer us.  On her own, she made us homemade chocolate chip and peach muffins, coffee and tea!  It was so sweet of her.  The views from her home are beautiful and we enjoyed walking around her buildings and seeing her antiques that were for sale.

May, the ower, was so inviting!

We were traveling to the Bay of Fundy with our grandchildren. I chose May's place because we could rent the house, cook our own dinners and have breakfast made for us as well. What a wonderful experience it was. The house and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. The views of the surrounding hills and bay with magnificent sunrises breathtaking. That would have been enough for a 5 star review, but May made the experience exceptional. She's a grandmother so was happy to host our rambunctious 7 and 11 year old grandsons. Not to mention her penny candy shop also in the house which they took advantage of. Her breakfasts are fresh, varied and plentiful. The french toast with her home made bread was to die for. She accommodated our needs for an early breakfast without hesitation. We highly recommend May's place!

Perfect in every way!

Stayed here one night on our way to Nova Scotia.  May was a delightful and friendly host and her home was gorgeous. Our room was very nicely appointed with extras to make it feel like home.  The views were breathtaking of the Bay of Fundy.  Breakfast was delicious and cooked by May as we sat and enjoyed her coffee and conversation. We would definitely recommend Moore's Specialties and will return when we're this way again!

Perfect B&B!

My husband and I stayed here for one night and it was such a nice and welcoming place.  May, the host, is so charming and sincere.  She treated us like family. The first thing she asked when we got there was it I wanted a cup of tea which was really sweet of her. We sat and chatted and it was as though I was talking to an old friend. Then she went out of her way to write a map for us which had the main attractions such as the breath taking sea caves, sandy beaches and the Fundy Trail.

Her place and her stories were really inspiring.  We were fortunate enough to buy one of her magnificent paintings.  We hung it up in our foyer and every time I look at it I remember the beautiful home and the stay we had in Gardener Creek (nearby to Saint John). 

May was kind enough to prepare a delicious breakfast for the both of us.  It's truly a historical place with beautiful paintings,  unique antiques and great accommodation.  I really enjoyed the fact that there was an extra room where people could relax and watch TV if they wish.  

Honnestly, we would highly recommend this B&B for so many reasons. It is a hidden gem with the most humble owners. We would gladly revisit in the near future.

Felt like home

My boyfriend and I slept there for three nights and we highly recommend this beautiful B&B in the heart of rural New Brunswick. May is a wonderful hostess and cook! It was very nice to chat with her. There are three two-person bedrooms, so it's quiet. The night before, we choose the time and lunch menu for the next day. The bed is made every day and the towels are changed every day. In the evening, the kitchen and common areas are fully available to guests since the owner lives in a neighboring house.

It's a great B&B.

May Moore's house on a hill overlooking the Bay of Fundy is a beautiful historic home. When it showed up in search results for Saint John hotels within my budget, I had immediately booked it. We stayed in a room with 2 twin beds.

May had messaged prior to the stay that there are no restaurants close-by, so we brought food with us from St. Martins and used the kitchen to prepare and eat dinner. Afterwards, I sat in the front yard to experience the sunset over the Bay of Fundy while sipping delicious Cinnamon Spice tea from the pantry. Since May and her family stay in a separate property adjacent to the B&B, she said we could use common ares of the house as required.

Before going to bed, we indicated our breakfast options and the time we wanted it and had a very nice home made hot breakfast in the morning. May also gave recommendations for places to visit in Saint John. It was a very pleasant home-like stay, which added to my experience of visiting New Brunswick. Must stay here!

Very Beautiful and Clean Stay with a Friendly Host

This was my first visit to New Brunswick and I could not have asked for nicer place to stay. May was so welcoming and helpful with her recommendations of places to see and most importantly where to eat!

She served an amazing breakfast which was  a great way to start your day! If you are dieting this may be a place of too much temptation as the plates of baked goodies left to enjoy throughout the day are pretty hard to resist.

The view from the front yard overlooking the Bay of Fundy was beautiful. 

Simply put you will not regret making this your home away from home!!

An wonderful way first visit to New Brunswick!

We were on a small bus tour by Go Fundy when we stopped by Moores Bed and Breakfast. The owners are super nice people, the lady makes awesome cookies and the beautiful landscape, ocean and rolling hills with forest puts you back into the country where the small amount of people are nice and kind. The Moore's also have an antique shop which I picked up an old Coca Cola serving tray.

My partner and I were going to be in the area and we ran across all the incredible reviews and decided to give this place a try.  I normally wouldn't as it does not have any ensuite washrooms for the rooms, but the reviews were just so good.  I called and she gave us the double room (the only one left), but was able to push the beds together.
     If someone was going to open a B&B I would tell them to come here and learn how it is done.  May has thought of everything, but then she has been doing this for 18 years.
     We arrived in the evening and she had cookies and muffins available in the kitchen.  We were mid way through our trip and she allowed us to use the laundry to wash up our clothes.
     The three rooms are up on the second floor that has a washroom with a toilet and sink.  The first floor has the bathroom with a shower. (Trust me this is not a big deal)
     Our bedroom was across the hall from the shared TV room that also has a lot of local tourist information.  Our bedroom was nicely appointed and came with robes for the trips to the bathrooms.  
     May is a talented painter and you will see her paintings on the walls, as well as murals she has painted directly on the walls.
     Prior to going to bed we filled out our breakfast request and time we wanted to eat.  We went with 7:30 which is the earliest available time.  I had two eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, a slice of ham, home fries, home made bread, two pancakes, orange juice and tea.  Not only was it plentiful but it was delicious.  
     But the best part of staying here is May, just one of the nicest people you could ever meet, someone who works hard and loves what she does.
     She also told us about the beach about five minutes away at the end of Duck Pond Road.  We went there near sunset while the tide was out.  We wandered around this huge beach, on the ocean floor actually and we had the entire area to ourselves.
     Highly, highly recommended.  You won't be disappointed.

An absolutely perfect 3 nights! Knew we had chosen a special place to stay however it exceeded our expectations! From arrival to departure, a more beautiful stay you could not find in comfort and hospitality! May is a kind and talented woman who shared her home with us in charm and friendship!
