Very nice host. Large, comfortable rooms. Coffee, tea and water are available free of charge at any time. Super delicious, rich breakfast. Very good price-performance. 5 minutes drive from the city center.

Top B&B, everything is right here.

Kat and Paul run an excellent property for staying in if visiting Golden. We stayed for 3 nights in the large, very well appointed apartment comprising a large bedroom, open plan living/dining/ kitchen area and bathroom which is accessed by its own outer door. It has all you need if self catering plus a washing machine and dryer which was appreciated on our 17 day holiday in B.C. The bonus is a large balcony with views of the mountains and sunset. There is also access to the hot tub in the garden but as the weather was very warm we didn't make use of this.
The house is set in a quiet residential area 10 minutes drive from downtown Golden.
We were welcomed by Paul who showed us around the apartment. After inquiring of our plans for our stay; which were to use Golden as a base for hiking in Yoho National Park which is only 30 minutes drive away. Paul gave us excellent advice on how to access these and recommending eating places in Golden.
Overall wonderful hospitality in a beautiful property.

Excellent property for self catering unit but also a B &B

Kat Coatesworth runs a wonderful B&B on a hill above Golden.  We stayed 5 nights while heli-skiing with CMH Purcell, which is only 5 minutes away.  Our group of 3 friends enjoyed having our own en suite bedrooms, but also having a common room where we could hang out and watch the Winter Olympics on our iPads (bedrooms have TVs with cable service plus Chromecast capability).  Kat is an avid snowboarder and her whole family skis, so she offers knowledgeable advice about Kicking Horse ski resort and winter weather conditions.  She also serves a bounteous breakfast.  The bedrooms and bathrooms are all spotlessly clean, and stocked with quality linens, towels and toiletries, and the hot tub is clean and well-maintained.  Canyon Ridge is great value.  I would definitely stay again if in Golden.

Terrific Family-run B&B

So... after we'd been here a few years ago, the stopover had to be Paul and Kat's. We were so excited and it was this time again. We kind of got home. The house, the rooms, the breakfast, everything first class. But what's special is the warmth of the hosts.

The number one.

Small but very family-friendly accommodation the four rooms offers very nice and stylishly furnished with shared living space and terrace rich breakfast in the living room of the landlord fresh fruit salad and fried eggs freshly prepared according to desire

Great lodge in gold

Beautiful lodge in the blockhouse style where we spent three nights. The three B&B guest rooms are in the basement of the lodge and there is a shared living area with sofas, water dispenser and refrigerator. Our room (No. 2) was rather small but had everything you needed. A few meters from our window was the hot tub (Whirlpool). This might seem disturbing, but during our stay this was not used by any guest.

Super days at the Canyon Ridge Lodge

very friendly people, a beautiful location, in just a 5 minutes drive you are in golden downtown, with cool restaurants etc. the breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed every minute there - especially the hot tub :)

excellent stay

We stayed two nights at the lodge and felt home immediatly. The welcome was very hearty and Kat took the time to explain every detail giving us local tipps. The room was super comfy and cozy. The highlight was the hot tub and the individually prepared breakfast where you would meet the other very friendly guests exchanging experiences and snow stories.
If we ever go back the Golden, this will be our place again. Thanks a lot to our hosts !

Amazing experience you want to come back to

Kat and family were very welcoming upon our arrival. The house is absolutely beautiful and the bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean and appreciated the extra facilities available such as tea and coffee etc in the communal area. The breakfast in the morning was great! Cereal, fruit and cooked breakfast available, very enjoyable. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, a B&B done perfectly!

What a lovely family and lovely stay 

We had two rooms booked for a party of four for 3 days skiing at Kicking Horse. Lovely modern, well presented rooms. The powerful shower was very welcome after a very cold day on slopes. There's a well stocked common area which we made good use of. Cat and Paul very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with them each morning over a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. Highly recommend Canyon Ridge Lodge and we would love to have another visit.
