There is a reason the hotel is so cheap; very little maintenance or updating done; WIFI very slow; free breakfast is not available until 8 a.m. long after working people are gone!
Access into place is tricky; the place is well below economy; trashy place.

Cheap Dive!

Absolutely horrible rooms.  The cigar smell in the room was so over powering I had to leave the window open in December and deal with the cold so I could breathe! 

I am not sure the room was ever cleaned or dusted there were cobwebs everywhere (lamps, walls, bathtub) stains on the walls and what looks like boogers on the walls and lamp shades.  There was clumps of stuff in what should have been a clean toilet.

The room looks like it may have been painted at one point by a blind painter as the fixtures like door handles, towel racks and other things were covered in paint.

Looks like the ceiling had water damage which was painted over.

Most hotels pre-charge the cost of the room if you are not wanting to pay by credit card.  This place charges over triple the cost of the room $300 as a deposit for probably one of the most run down rooms I have ever stayed at in North America.

My recommendation is spend a little more money and stay elsewhere.  Rooms are way overvalued for the very poor state of the rooms and the horrible eye watering odor!

Horrible Dirty Smelly Rooms

the bed was comfortable, the staff was good . the wifi was definitely not high speed, i couldn't connect wirelessly but luckily they had a cable i could borrow. the rooms were reasonably clean but when i turned on the AC a bunch of black fluff flew out and there was no knob to change the temperature on the AC

a budget motel

Bed is super super uncomfortable. I can feel each spring inside the mattress, I had to go down to front desk to ask them to reset the modem as I had tried for half an hour to get wifi working to no avail. I was told to reset my phone... After I got the wifi connected, it was horribly slow. No chance on watching my videos for my online course I planned to work on. 

Room doesn’t have an overhead light, just two lamps and one won’t even turn on. Bedding has a weird scent which gives a headache when you rest your head. 

I felt bad for the people below us as every step we take makes a horrible creaking sound. I can feel something shifting under the carpet and it’s super uneven to walk on. 

Only pros are that the room has a couch, a large fridge and a dresser... Would not recommend that anyone stay here. 

Won’t ever stay again 

We stopped late at night after a very long drive. The sheets had food crumbs in between them, called front desk, we got clean sheets although they had stains, we remade bed. The room was very smelly, tub filled up ,didn’t drain right while showering . Bed made horrible sounds with any movement like it would break, was a half opened shampoo in room, Tried to contact manager 3 times in AM , didn’t return calls were just told she was out “spring cleaning”. Was so grossed out I didn’t even sleep in bed, slept sitting at table. 
Manager not professional can’t even return calls or answer call. Seemed like lame excuses to avoid situation. 

Dirty sheets, unresponsive manager

We have stayed here twice now, and the service both times was great. The rooms are basic but clean, the beds are comfortable. The only disappointments were that we were unable to use the WIFI on our second stay, and the plugins are very loose and anything you plug into them falls out very easily. When we contacted the desk about our issue with the WIFI we were simply told to refresh our devices, despite our stating that we had already done so several times without success. However, for the price and for a short stay, it is a decent establishment and very conveniently located.

A Decent, No-Frills Deal

This a "nothing-fancy" motel. But I found it clean & comfortable and great for an overnight in Grande Prairie. Shopping, restaurants, and gas are all nearby. Help provided by the front desk was superb.

Basic but clean...

I needed a room short notice and went to bookings.com; the motel was listed at $95 for the night; I hesitated a bit not knowing what it would be like; was pleasantly surprised; owners were very polite; room was quite large and clean! Bathroom was a little small but also clean; breakfast was typical of budget lodgings; small eating area; fresh coffee and location is along major route; within walking distance of shopping centre.
