To me the Coast is a pretty nice hotel 90% of the time. I was very disappointed that is was a low class hotel. Stains on roof, flat pillows, old furniture.  But the beds where very comfortable. Sheets are Awsome 

Not again

The room was very clean. The air conditioning was working well. The reception was warm. The staff offered us a bottle of water per person, a little grape juice and candy. The products in the bathroom (soap, shampoo, etc.) smelled very good.

That's great!

Spent an overnight with friends. At $166 / night was a good price. Friends wanting to join later found prices a lot higher and used other options in town. Hotel right on the main drag.  Room was clean, bed was comfy. Wifi worked well in the room. TV and phone did not work.  Lots of free parking. Some food options in the area including a restaurant in the building; may have to drive to get other supper options as mostly fast food within walking distance. 
Staff were friendly and very patient with some of my travel mates. Breakfast was pre-made omelets and sausage in addition to usual cereals, yogurt, break, and fruit. Had juices, coffee, and tea as options (black tea would be a nice addition).

Ok place to stay

I WAS CHARGED 5 TIMES ON MY CREDIT CARD.
Stay away from this place. The manager is inept and possibly scamming the Credit Card companies. I told him that I had extra charges on my credit card totalling 1260$ and he just told me to dispute the charges and he would cooperate 🤔
The manager and office staff could NOT reverse and single charge and even went as far to blame the debit machine. The additional charges on my credit card were very random charges, three separate charges for three random amounts...
Aside from the scam I got caught up in, the rooms are dated, there are no blackout blinds so at 10PM at night it's still very bright in the room.
The breakfast is horrible, bad fruit, microwaved everything and a waffle maker that doesn't work. If you want a bowl of cereal you are in luck. It's the only thing that isn't disgusting.
The front desk staff is never there and the phones never get answered. STAY AWAY!!!! 

Credit Card Scam!!!!

Think they can pay the cable an internet bill.so much fun sitting in a room with no wifi an tv. The room needs work, broken  outlet covers, door was kicked in and fixed crudely back together, tv is outdated

Maybe pay your bills

The front desk staff were very friendly and kind and they are the only reason this review has any stars at all. 

Hallways smelled musty and like stale cigarettes. The room was pretty clean, no complaints about cleanliness. Heat didn't seem to work despite cranking it as high as it would go I was still cold all night. Tv wouldn't turn on. Bed was hard and lumpy. There was too much light being let into the room from the window so it was hard to get to sleep in semi-darkness. I certainly wouldn't stay again.

First visit to this hotel. Friendly staff, informative, courteous. Room clean, quiet, comfortable as expected. AC worked great. Zero complaints! Washroom was clean and everything worked. Lots of clean towels, soaps and stuff. Mini fridge and microwave as most have these days. We would stay here again, price was best in town as a comparable.

Great Dependable Accomodations

Very disappointing stay. The property manager and frontdesk won’t allow us to early checkout the room. We didn’t expect an emergency for my dog has a blood on poop. We are trying to leave before the checkout time but they are very rude they want us to pay the night we didn’t stay. Lots of complaints I heard about the rudeness of the manager. Im hoping that the choice hotel management can look into this problem.

Very disappointing hotel

Honestly the room was pretty much fine. No big complaints with anything once I got everything upstairs. The problems I have are with the facilities. I’m on a motorcycle with a lot of heavy luggage (camping gear, tools, oil, water, etc.) that I can’t leave on the bike overnight. My room was on the third floor, almost to the end of the hall. The elevator doesn’t work, which means the bell cart is useless, so I had to cart 80-100 pounds of gear up 2 flights of stairs and down the hall. I also planned to do laundry while here, but the laundry facilities are out of order too. Fix those issues, and it would be a fine place to stay. As is, I’d recommend calling before you book to see if the elevator is fixed or if you can have a first floor room held for you.

The only room issue was that the AC is tiny and doesn’t seem to be making a dent in cooling the room after running on max for well over an hour, but I understand that it’s a pretty short window when that matters this far north.

Broken elevator

I stayed here on the 15th of September and my stay was the worst I’ve ever had in a hotel and I travel a lot for work so I’ve had a lot of hotel stays... the room was unclean with previous guests hair all over the room and old food left in the fridge, when I was exiting the shower I was hit in the head with the shower curtain rod when it fell off the wall and when I informed the front desk all they said was oh sorry... but that’s not even the worst... After the experience I had I decided to cancel the remainder of my stay and checked out at which time I was overcharged by roughly $700 upon realizing that I went into the front desk and had $215 returned which was the amount of the deposit and tax but they were unable to return the other $480 at the time and have been avoiding me and refusing to repay the overcharge since. They have been reported to the better business bureau and have ignored their attempts to contact them as well. I will likely never get my money back and hope to save others from this experience.
