My 2 sons and I drove here from Minnesota for a epic fishing trip.  The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and very well taken care of.  I'd definitely stay here again!!  I have no suggestions for improvement this place was a breath of fresh air after some of the dumps we stayed in driving across the country getting here.

We were on a road trip through from the coast to the East Kootenays. I called ahead to book a room. The host was gracious and offered a more than fair price. We needed a safe place to store our bikes and he kindly offered safe storage. The hotel is tucked away from the main thoroughfare, on a quiet back street. The room was extremely clean with all the amenities of a quaint hotel. I am grateful we found this little gem on a rainy night.

Little Gem

The good thing is that the room was clean and quiet. It was quite small, thin pillows, and was missing a smoke detector. Plus there was a gap under the door. In dire need of updates. We were disappointed because this was the best rated motel in Hope.

Clean and quiet, otherwise not great.

Clean quiet hotel right in downtown Hope BC. We arrived before 3 pm but were able to get our room. We requested a room with kitchen which it had and it was well equipped with a full size fridge and stove and everything else you might need to cook a meal.  The rooms were clean and the bed super comfortable. The manager was super nice and very helpful. 

Clean quiet hotel

This was a great stop on our way from Vancouver to Jasper. The staff were friendly.  The room was cleanclean and the comfortable bed meant we had a great nights sleep.  Enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the nearby Rolly’s restaurant. 

Lovely clean, comfortable motel.

This motel is older but my room was updated and clean. No musky old smell. Quiet location off main highway. Close to amenities and services. This will be my go to place in Hope when I travel for business and pleasure

Great Quiet Motel

The lovely couple, Denise & Peter, who owned the motel appear to have sold.  I had stayed here many times in the past and was always happy with the room and the service.  This time was noticeably different.  Where to begin - found a contain of cannabis behind the entry door,  pubic hair and blood spatters in the tub, the toilet seat was broken, don't even look behind the nightstands (scary), coffee machine not cleaned, air conditioner clogged with dust, many webs and a huge spider living in a corner, etc., etc..  The new owners certainly do not understand the cleanliness/maintenance factor in running a motel.  I would not recommend.

Not so clean anymore.....

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to the Rockies. The room was clean and the beds comfortable and it benefitted from air conditioning which worked well.  It is a short walk into town and is recommended for a visit to Hope.

Clean and great value

I guess depending on where I put my focus this could be a negative or positive review.  The good:  the kitchenette suite has a great stove and fridge as well as microwave.  The beds were okay, and the fact that it had two separate rooms was a nice touch. And it was mostly quiet....you hear no cars outside (as it's not on a highway).

The bad:  At 5A.M. there was this incredible rumbling noise probably from the tenant upstairs showering.  Obviously there is some kind of issue with the old pipes.  And whoever was in charge of cleaning it didn't clean off the chairs.  And in one of the rooms the overhead light was really dim.   Also there were no coffee creamers for the coffee (just coffeemate) and the person at the desk didn't have any to give us.

And it does seem like 170 dollars a night (including tax) is a lot to pay for an old hotel in a rather 'dead' town.  

But all in all...

Funky!  Old!  Interesting!

We arrived earlier than the 3 pm check in, about 2.15 pm. The guy on the desk was very helpful and we were allowed into the room.  The room was spacious and clean.
It also had air con which was a bonus. 

The bed was comfortable and we slept well.  There was a coffee machine but no kettle or tea bags.  Fortunately we bought our own and heated the water in the microwave. 

The room is very quiet at night and close to restaurants, bars etc.

We had a good stay and would definitely recommend if you are in Hope.
