Great stay on a cold rainy night. Lovely modern and clean rooms. Very quiet. Off the beaten path so plan ahead. Well appointed too . Very pleasant staff. We are happy to discover this motel as we pass through often. And we would recommend to others.

Don’t Miss Out!

The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I was very happy with my stay. The only reason I rated 4/5 instead of five is because the sheets had a stain when I arrived, though they fixed the problem quickly. Overall excellent room for the price

Great room for the price

We stayed one night, and would certainly recommend the Skagit. It's well maintained older clean and quiet, and the layout and location is easy to find. 

No movie channels on the Shaw box but the internet was AWESOME !



Awesome motel for a 1 night stay !

We stay at this lovely little motel every time we are in Hope, BC. Clean, comfortable little rooms and so quiet. The owners are friendly and helpful and keep not the just inside clean but the outside as well. Walkable around the town and great carvings throughout Hope.

Always our go to in Hope

This motel was terrible!  The bedding and linen was not good.  Over priced as well. The worst thing was that there was Mouse excrement all over the kitchen elements and countertops. Despite this the owner/manager did not over a refund or some sort of discount. He also claimed the excrement was food partials, which was a lie. Even if it had been, it should have been clean. Stay away from this dump.

Horrible

We stayed one night, and would certainly recommend the Skagit. It's well maintained, clean, quiet, and the layout and location is easy to negotiate. It's like a good memory of traveling decades ago when there were plenty of motor courts. Hope is a great town to explore, too!

Good night

Location is in a residential area but close enough to walk to a restaurant. The desk clerk greeted us right away and was friendly. We had our own designated parking stall for our vehicle and when we walked in, it was clean and nice.  The price was $148 + taxes which we felt pretty reasonable.   We had a good sleep, the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. King size bed, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and TV.  If I had to critique one thing it was the coffee was not the greatest but other than that it was a nice stay.

Nice Motel

When looking for a place to stay overnight on our way to the Okanagan this was one of the few places available. Sceptical of staying in a motel we saw the good reviews about this one. It was perfect. Very clean and roomy. Remodelled,  so even though it may be an older place it was great. Best thing for us as seniors was that all the rooms were on ground level..no stairs to navigate! Very pleasant fellow when we checked in as well.
Will certainly stay there again.

Great little place to stay

Very nice renovated room. Grounds were well kept and the owner and staff were very nice and accommodating.
They were very helpful with a special request we had. Very quiet area close to all amenities.

Well run motel

The old woman who answered the door behaved as if I were a bug under a glass, which I found very disconcerting.  Very poor broken English, hard to understand, and had to repeatedly ask if they had a room available.
She just stood there staring at me, sometimes looking away.  ???

She then called her husband (?) over and he did the same thing.
"Why you want room?"
???
"Umm...because I need a place to stay?  Are you guys okay?"
"How much you pay?"
"Uhh....um....don't you have a set rate?  How much do you charge for a room or suite?"
"How many people?"
"Just me."

Then a blank stare for minutes.
I looked over and the old woman was looking in the back window of my car.

"Uh...what's going on here?  This is a motel, right?"
BLANK STARE.
"Okay...if you don't want to let out a room just say so."
BLANK STARE.
"Okay.  I'll give my money to someone else.  Have a nice day."

I drive forward to turn around, and he's blocking the exit by standing a third of the way in.  I wait, but he won't move.
