This place is extremely run-down. The units need to be painted. The walls are chipped and scratched and some show signs that the roof leaked at some point. The rooms are musty. The TV has only one volume and is very difficult to hear unless you are sitting right in front of it.  Stay here only if you have  a full day’s activities planned. It is not in downtown Huntsville. If you don’t have a car, it’d be a very long walk.
The owners seem very nice and I think they’re doing the best they can.

Word of warning

I stayed at this motel twice with my Mom while we visited Huntsville for a couple of days. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The owners are very kind  and friendly they make you feel like you are at a bed and breakfast not a motel.  The motel is within minutes to downtown Huntsville. Lots of shops restaurants and the lovely boardwalk on the lake  to enjoy. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean. It was also lovely to get up and enjoy the nice  complimentary breakfast with the lake view and coming back at the end of the day and relaxing on the patio looking at the lake each evening. We will stay  there again next time we make a trip to Huntsville.  

Huntsville experience

We chose to stay here during a weekend break to Huntsville. 

We found the check in process to be easy and quick. 
The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We couldn’t fault it, especially for the price. The establishment is slightly dated, but this only adds to the countryside charm. 
The shower in our room (107) was fantastic. 
Also the free wifi was great. 

There is ample parking on site. 

You’re also only a 5 - 10 minute walk to downtown Huntsville, which is lovely.

Charming motel in the country

Front desk help not too helpful.  Not pleasant. Not informative. 
../ We asked to be moved. As a get together was outside our door next door.  
Rather than simply move us.  She insisted on moving the group. Making us feel rare. Not a great place. Won’t be back.  We come yearly. Will go elsewhere

Saturday room for two

We aren’t planners.  We were lucky enough to show up and snag the last room on a Friday night.
The room was the cleanest We’ve stayed at in a very long time.  The bed was comfortable, the temperature was perfect and the room had all we needed for a fair price.  It was a great location and walking distance for drinks, shopping and a nice dinner on the patio close by.
The only downfall is that we save our cash for our getaways and we were disappointed that they would not accept cash payment for our stay.

Great spot!

Clean motel with a decent sized room but although a complimentary breakfast was advertised we were told on arrival that due to covid no breakfast was available. To be honest I am sick of businesses hiding behind covid as what does a few pastries, cereal and coffee take to put out? It is a bit of a walk back into Huntsville but well worth it as there is a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants in town

Reasonable motel but basic and pricey

I always love these 1950s style 'motor on inns' that someone has seen the potential in and invested their time and money.  This place is a great example.  Situated down town the construction makes it a little difficult to get to from the north, but it's well worth it.  Check in was in a nice large lobby where it's clear a continental breakfast is available in the morning.  The gentleman who served me was very polite, professional and efficient.  I provided my identification, and credit card and was off to my room.  I stayed in room 110.  Ground floor.  Parking out front.  The room is a great size and has clearly been renovated recently.  You'll find USB outlets, a flat screen TV and 2 queen beds.  WiFi is also included.  The bathroom is nothing special, but clean, fairly modern and with a low tub wall for those with some mobility issues.  Not unlike European hotels the vanity and sink area are outside of the bathroom.  There is also a small refrigerator a microwave and a complimentary coffee maker in the room.  The landscaping outside is a nice compliment to the overall tidy, modern and well kept property.  Bravo!  Would absolutely recommend this place to the tired traveler passing through, contractor, family or weekend getaway enthusiasts!

Great place to lay my head after a full day's work and an evening of traveling!

Very good location and services. Friendly staff at check -in . Hina - (owner), very nice lady. I ask for her give me the  kittle and get it.  Very clean and comfortable room. I recommend this hotel for travelers.

Very good motel

On the plus side, the hotel is well located near the town centre and the rooms are comfy and clean. On the negative side, both the hotel and the rooms are looking tired and in need of some major TLC. The coffee maker did not work, the TV worked with difficulty and there was no clock or alarm. Staff at reception were friendly, but not there at checkout the next morning, so good luck getting a receipt. 

Ok for a night

The rooms were nice but getting to them may present a challenge for people with disabilities.  The 3 stone steps had no railing to help you navigate them. In the evening the stairs at the end leading to the second story were poorly lit.
