The worst experience ever
Just finished staying in this motel last night, all the reviews written here are true. And when the staff were confronted about all the issues, they simply said nothing.
What a disgusting joke this place is

Worst

Travelling from Northern Alberta to Vancouver, my boyfriend and I decided we needed to stop for the night because it was getting late. We found this hotel online, and booked because it was cheap, and allowed dogs, all we needed was a place to sleep. We booked around 7pm, on Expedia, paid online in advance, and put in the notes that we would be arriving late. We called the hotel when we were about 30 minutes away to let them know we were almost there, and the employee answering the phone said he didn't know if there would be anyone at the property, because it was late, but he would 'do his best', claimed at this point that we were late.. I called back and he said that it was their policy not to hold our reservation becasue our credit card had been declined, which was not true, because we stopped at the first gas station we saw after that, and used that same credit card to purchase gas. I called him back and told him we had just used it and there was no problem with it, and that we would be arriving in a few minutes. There an employee in the office when we arrived, but they made my bf prepay for the room (not a pre-auth), plus a pet fee, plus a damage deposit, which I have never heard pf before EVER. Also, this hotel advertises a heated pool, which is empty and covered in tarps.The bath was NASTY... stained, but worse, not clean; there was a hair in the soap dish.. 
The towels and sheets had all long since seen better days... faded and stained... but I think they were washed... I certainly didn't expect perfection for $50 per night, but I didn't expect to be lied to about our credit card declining because the employee didn't want to wait for our arrival... I guess you get what you pay for. I was glad I had my boyfriend and dog with me; I don't think I would have stayed here alone.

Terrible

We stayed here on the holiday weekend, wanting to spend on other things, we opted to be budget conscious on accommodations where you spend less time. This was a great choice and very inexpensive!

The room was a good size, with two double beds - gave us space to stretch out! The added bonus of a swimming pool - which was large as well, was a nice touch. We both enjoyed time in the pool on a 32+ day. I recommend you bring your own towels - the hotel doesn't provide pool towels and the ones in the rooms aren't very large. 

The room itself had a nice microwave, a coffeemaker that made individual pod coffees - very nice ones, I would have liked more than one cup each actually, they were very good. The mini fridge kept things cold, and chilled our waters very quickly. The tv was flat screen and had a good selection of channels. The wifi was a bit sketchy - I found it would drop in and out on my tablet, and our phones couldn't find the networks at all.

The location is also good - close to downtown, and close to decent shopping and attractions. We found it easy to get around, not knowing Kamloops at all.

We would definitely stay there again - very good stay!

Great stay - Nice place - Good Value

I stayed only one night at this motel. There were a few minor glitches but considering value-for-dollar, I dismiss them. The air conditioning system worked well (although noisy), the room and bathroom were fairly clean, and I enjoyed the swimming pool which I consider a bonus. Overall, I enjoyed a peaceful night's rest.

A very reasonable motel with a friendly staff

Not somewhere you would bring your family, but somewhere you rest for a night. Yes it isn't the cleanest, but it's the cheapest in Kamloops by far what do you expect? We stayed in Coast more recently and payed 6 times the amount we payed here! You're not paying the resort price, you can't expect resort quality. This is not somewhere you spend a week, it's somewhere you get in late, rest your head, then leave early.
Do not bring kids here- you can deal with the low standards because of value for money as an adult, but I would not want my baby here. Fork out the extra $ and stay somewhere nicer with children.

I'll tell you why I didn't put on just one star, which would be well deserved. We got a $30 price for the room, at that price when you travel for a long time you don't think about it and the last comment on TripAdvisor was old, so maybe the hotel had changed. Well no... We arrived and the door to the room was wide open? So we closed it and saw that the ventilation was fine, after we turned it off, we realized. The smell of the room was a mixture of frankincense, cold cigarettes and the bathroom because there was a scent diffuser.
