My son and I really liked this cottage where we stayed for two nights. Magnificent room if you like the old one. I really liked the comfortable and atypical living room with lots of old things. It's almost a small museum. The kitchen is also fun especially the kitchen, but it works well. We liked the little attention like chocolate bread in the morning during this Covid 19 period that prevents us from serving breakfast normally. Everything was in the fridge too. We also enjoyed the pool. If we went back to the corners, we'd be happy to see the lady who can hold this cottage again. We also enjoyed the little attention on the campsite. But we didn't really try it, it felt good.

We loved this place.

Run at all costs! This gite may seem atypical with its old and banqueting coat but it is nothing more or less than a moody one! we can't sleep hearing the constant noise of trucks, we can hear her roommate as if he was in the same bed as us, we have a very passable bed and the worst part is the smell of... mold that takes us to the guts of the houses we go into! a horror and for the same reception of the owner... yes.. when we don't notice her!! she knows very well that her gite is a scam and that's why she pays me before she shows us the rooms... go your way and don't make the mistake that we do!

The Horror Gite

Vintage room with equine decoration with bathroom. Very clean, excellent bedding, everything is available toilet linen, swimming pool linen. Well equipped kitchen and common dining room. Nice and friendly home. The downside is the non-existent soundproofing (as almost everywhere in Canada) but we still had a nice night.

Let's start with the positive points Playxtant 1 campsite we enjoy the pool and games qd there are children c is nice. Litterage well nice dining room nice lunch nice home very nice also possibility of washing laundry The black points: near a very passing road certain atypical but old house, it would take hours of renovation to qualify it as a gite. The kitchen is d Another time All the equipment is old and not very well maintained the common bathroom and wenuc has 3 bedrooms or 8 people no thanks! 90 dollars has 4...

It was an experiment.

It was a beautiful old building with its charms. Indeed, the sound insulation side must be revisited: the noise of trucks all night long it is better to have earplugs. The bathroom was old but clean. The reception was particularly friendly and it is true that breakfast was very good.

A real experience

It's a very nice and very charming place, the owners are very kind and hospitable, a typical Québécois place near the Saint-Simeon ferry, a lot of great things to do and see.

Peace

A warm welcome, a full breakfast and an ancestral home are the only positive points of this lodge. The noise of trucks and cars is omnipresent, the bathroom is not very clean and the shower apple spat a little net of water, a whole challenge to wash the hair! The price is not high but a new shower apple wouldn't cost a fortune either!

The typical doesn't prevent a minimum of comfort

Out of options after trying so many hotels, B&B, etc... which were all full, we ended up at La Charmeuse camping ground right behind the Gite as there was no more rooms there either, and stayed in a trailer. 
The owner was absolutely sweet and helpful. 
We had a great time around a fire in the evening after being given very clear and helpful instructions. 

The facility is very decent for the common areas and the location is only a couple kilometers from the wonderful village of Port-Au-Persil.
