The croissants were the best we have ever had anywhere! In fact, the breakfast is the very best part of a stay at the Arbor View Inn! We arrived at a rushed time for owner so missed getting things like the internet password (we tracked him down later to get it), and knowing that we had access to a fan (it was a warm sleepless night and we didn't discover this until the next morning). The location is quite a distance from downtown, and without a water view. The house itself is beautifully decorated with antiques. We don't watch TV on vacation, but there is one available in a common room if anyone wants to. The room itself was clean but very small and for some reason our allergies were out of control while we were in it.  The only other thing that concerned us was the room rate we paid was $24 higher than the maximum room rate posted on the door in the room. It is unlikely we will stay here again, although we would pay to go to breakfast for the croissants!

JUST OK

I love a good B&B in an old historic house as much as anyone, but this one failed to live up to expectations. Small room, no room amenities, uncomfortable bed, uncomfortable chair, and a leaky bathtub that forced me to use all remaining towels to mop up in order to prevent water damage, which I feared I might get blamed for. Breakfast was nothing special. And this was one of the only places I've stayed at where the rack rate posted on the inside of my room door was actually less than the advertised rated I paid via the online booking site used! It's a good 20 minute walk from the historic town centre, and for the same price (or a bit more), you may as well get a place in town, which will give you a better opportunity to absorb the town's historic waterfront ambience. Upon my arrival at Arbor, the proprietor seemed surprised, even a bit irked to see me; not the most welcoming experience.

Overpriced, overrated, blah breakfast

We were privileged to stay here for 3 days and felt like royalty. The Inn has a castle like feel with a cozy home atmoshere. 
The view from the upper decks are beautiful and the grounds are lovely to stroll through. 
A real home away from home.

Lunenburg Harbour is just a short walk down the hill. Next time we will Stay there again and we are looking forward to.

Great Place to stay

A fantastic place to stay. Not far from the waterfront. A beautiful setting. Really nice to sit out on one of the 3 decks and look out on the beautiful grounds great breakfast. The owner Cindy is great. She knows more about lunenburg probably than anyone as she is eigth generation. Great great stay. The antiques in the home are worth a see   Thanks for the great company Cindy

Cindy is the best

We stayed one night at this place and it's very well kept it's worth the price... the only remark would be lunch included...no choice but the one served was very good even though it was just granola!!!

It's a nice old house and a very nice property.

My wife and I just got back from a trip to Canada and we spent two nights at the Arbor View Inn while we were visiting the Lighthouse Route. Lunenburg is actually a great starting point for visiting this beautiful region, and the Arbor View Inn was a great choice that turned out to be a great choice. Cindy and Pete are two wonderful landlords, their breakfasts are among the best we've ever had in Canda. We had booked a Guysborough Room but when we arrived on our website, we found ourselves happily assigned to the Annapolis Suite.
