A beautiful B&B, but oddly the inn keeper was not at home. I spoke with them on the phone to get into the B&B, but never saw anyone.  
While the room was clean and the bed comfortable, it would appear someone forgot to stock amenities in the bathroom and the sliver of soap in the shower had hair stuck to it. 
I couldn't figure out how to use the coffee maker to fix a cup of coffee in the morning and there was a sink full of dirty dishes in the kitchen. 

Strangest B&B experience

I registered my reservation to this local B&B back in January 2022.  In my original reservation, I had asked a few questions concerning the room I had book, but never received a reply.  About 4-5 days ago, I decided to follow up on this.  

I called the number listed on both my RSVP and their website 819-843-8480 and got a recorded message that the phone was no longer registered.   Out of concern over this, I reached out to the B&B through their contact link on their website & wrote a message in both French & English.  After receiving no reply, I tried e-mailing them directly at info@maisondrew.com, and still no reply.  

I contacted a local hotel (Auberge du Grand Lac) in the area to see if they are still in business, and they couldn't reach them either.  I finally had to send a note assuming that they were no longer in business and that I should consider my reservation cancelled and non-existent.  I wanted to warn others of this disappointing experience, as their website appears to be operational.

A well located B&B with its charm. Rooms are spacious with a small air conditioner. Walking distance to downtown. They have a kitchen available for guest upstairs, but there is no stove. Nice neighbourhood. Owners are friendly and welcoming. Shower curtains should be replaced, but otherwise a nice place though a bit pricy for a B&B. 

Nice place

Close to the city centre. Spacious room, very clean and quiet. Very small bathroom however. Very warm home. Minimum breakfast: 3 mini-sugar salad cookies without butter, just molasses and syrup, 3 blueberries, 1 small strawberry, 1 slice of banana and a small slice of watermelon. This is not what we can call a plentiful breakfast. We waited in vain. I don't know if they were missing eggs that morning? We've known so much better in several other restaurants in Quebec.

It's a nice quiet place, but for breakfast...

Unfortunately only stayed for one night in this charming town and equally charming B&B.  Our room was called Cerise which had a separate seating area and small balcony.  The ensuite was comparatively small but adequate for our needs.  Just a pity there was no shampoo but, hey, that was the only negative we could find.  Pierre and Lyn, the owners, were very helpful and gave us discount vouchers for local restaurants.  Their recommendations were good.  There is also a small kitchen for the use of guests. 
 Breakfast was excellent and served by our hosts.
The B&B is a short walk downhill to the many small shops, restaurants and river.  We were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer- we may have had chance to use the hot tub. One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in

A little gem

We had the cinnamon room upstairs. We had to borrow a staircase with very high stairs inside the room. The bathroom is hard to access and not recommended to the adults. Not recommended to the elderly. The owners are not very supportive. Breakfast is ordinary, nothing more. I don't recommend this establishment.

It's not worth 4*

Pierre and Lyne are the new owner and operators (since March or April) of Maison Drew.  They are friendly, very accommodating and could not be more helpful.   

We had a choice of rooms as we were the only guests during our stay.  Each room has its features good and not so good but they all had a draw.

Breakfast served in the front enclosed former porch is very nice.  Choice of sweet (doux) or savory (salée).

No in-room fridge but there is a large semi-kitchen in the common area that has a full-sized fridge and a dining table to eat your picnic.  Wine glasses and cork screw in room..

As for rooms, remember that the house is old (over a century) and as such, doesn't have the sound proofing of newer structures.

Wonderful and most helpful new hosts

We stayed in the blue room, a very nice room with plenty of light, electric fireplace and a large bathroom, but it is the room with the least privacy because it is close to the owners' area and the porch for lunch. Good geographical location, near the old Magog bell tower. New owners who are very enthusiastic!

Blue

We stayed at this B & B as part of a self-guided walking tour of the Eastern Provinces.  The rooms on the second floor have a sitting area with a couch along with the bedroom, small balcony and bath.  In addition, there is a shared full kitchen which we used to make our picnic lunches.  It has a great location that is easy to walk to the marsh and downtown and also very close to a large grocery and self-service laundromat.  David and Bridgette were very accommodating and made a very nice breakfast.

Comfortable B & B in interesting town

The exterior is starting to lose its Victorian value as there are small renovations here and there. The owners warmly welcome you and give you discounts coupons for restaurants and places to visit. Lunch is very nice and generous. At two street corners there is Main Street where you can shop.
