Out dated, dirty floors and floor mat, odd smells through the place, chipped paint, disgusting heater in washroom, dirty towels, breakfast is a loaf of bread in a fridge with peanut butter and jam that have been contaminated from prior use, not to mention the electrical code violations,  terrible. Extremely over priced for the hole in the earth this place is

DO NOT GO HERE

Nothing fancy but a nice and comfortable place to stay.  No amenities other than the continental breakfast, however, the only thing we tried was the coffee.  No coffee makers in the room and the one in the breakfast room took forever to brew.  It was quicker to drive over to the Bakery and get coffee there.

Basic, clean and comfortable accomodations

I had to spend 2 days in Manitouadge on business. I stayed at the Select inn. The rooms are spacious. The bed was very nice. Pillows great. GreatTV. Very clean. They include a basic breakfast opened24hours a day. No one can be disappointed there.

A Nice place to go

The Lake Superior Circle Tour has booked lodgings.  There is a lot of construction and the available motels were few and far between - and expensive!   This motel is 30 miles up, shortly after Marathon.  The motel was clean and comfortable.  The WiFi was spotty.  The Breakfast was toast, cereal and milk.  The price was about $100.00 CA. plus HST.  The next available lodgings were 6 hours away.  We started looking for lodgings about noon at the Nipigon tourist info center and they called for us.

A Comfortable Clean place to stay

Stayed here one night for work. The rate was quite reasonable. Wasn't sure what to expect, but for an isolated small community, it is definitely acceptable. The room was clean, WiFi was strong, heat had a digital thermostat control on the heating unit (numerical temperature control  is always a bonus). Bathroom was spacious and clean, good water pressure. I used the fridge in the room. Flat screen TV. All was fine, except for what I assume was a cooking odour (from the owners) in the lobby area, but this was not an issue in the room, so it didn't really bother me at all. 

 I would definitely stay here again when back in Manitouwadge.

An Acceptable Stay

We recently stayed at the Select Inn here in Manitouwage.  The water pressure was excellent (sounds silly but this is the number one  shortfall in most hotels).  The rooms were clean and it is family owned,  breakfast Is included but limited.   WiFi is provided and there is a microwave and refrigerator in each room.  The people are what make Manitouwadge what it is but honestly there is not much put here and for Hotels, the Select Inn......is a gem.

The best that you will get

We stayed here a few times before and it seems to have gotten a little better with small upgrades and lower prices. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only problem we had was with the logging company vehicles parking too close to the motel and disturbing guests at 3:00 am.
