I have just been charged for 3 nights - February 13-16 when I actually made reservations for June 13-16. The owner's English is not great and I corrected him on the call when he said Feb and I said  - no June. 

Even though this review requires me to answer when did I go - I did NOT go. I was in Mexico from Feb 12-20th, 2024

BE VERY CAREFUL

The second year in a row I have stayed here when passing through Neeppawa. Checking has always been easy. Their rooms are average but clean and completely adequate. I will definitely stay there again. 

Happy with choice 

The motel says pet friendly, but the owner CLEARLY hates dogs. I was checked in already, and he saw my dog and yelled at me for having a dog. He said I needed to pay extra for a dog, which I wasn't told at check-in, so I went back to the desk to pay the extra, which he stuck the bill right into his pocket. He then continued to berate me and yell that there are signs that pets are extra. It is his job as an employee to tell me my required charges when checking in, and nothing was mentioned about a dog, plus I paid immediately when he first told me (yelled at me) that I need to pay more. But I felt unsafe, he definitely has a dangerous temper, and it made me uneasy staying in a room where he has they key to. This was not the only incident and I only stayed for one night. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The lady that works there is nice, but the man is scary. 

DO NOT STAY HERE

The motel is old and dated, but expected that when researching it online. Only needed a place for one night!  The owner is extremely rude, and confrontational.  He got extremely angry because I guess we forgot to click something when reserving it that we had a small dog.  Then it all started again when he realized we paid with debit and should have known, but were never told, that we need to pay an additional $100.00 security deposit.  I feel this is information that could have been passed onto us when we paid for the room on arrival.  He ruined the stay.  His wife was lovely. Never ever would I stay there again. 

Terrible experience

While a super trip quick trip to my old goose hunting grounds in the Quill Lakes of SASK I needed a nights rest on my way back home to Minnesota and stopped at the Neepawa Motel.  I had stayed here in the past when we made regular trips in the 1990's and the owner was from the UK.

Now a new owner and I got a real update and lesson on Korean ownership of small non chain motels in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.   Most interesting and Canada is sure a land of immigrants as so many service people on this trip were non Canadian. 
The owner was super nice and most welcoming and this motel is the kind of l love.  Park right in front, quiet and above all so clean and nice.  The bathroom and shower was sparking clean and tons of hot water and good pressure.    Great fridge for takeaway food and a microwave too.  TV worked great, and bed most comfortable and warm in the room as needed.   Even the ice was the way I like it as hard clear blocks and not light and foam type ice as I had a coke with my takeaway.   As so many Chinese restaurants in the small  towns, I had takeaway galore.   
Such a difference in say East Indian Potel properties where not always clean and the cooking smells if I go to the office makes for a quick exit for me.
This motel would be one I would return to and keep returning to.  
Some people make comments on being dated, but to me this is a non issue.  If clean and comfortable is all that matters.
And with ownership that takes pride in the cleanliness of his property, this is more than important.
So if passing thru Neepawa or if town for hockey or an event, you would not go wrong on staying here.

Great stay in a true Mom and Pop Motel

the owner was friendly, let us check in early. The rooms are modest but super clean and I loved the pillows! I booked directly with the motel and they matched any online booking. Breakfast was in a cute little room with toast, muffins, cereal and coffee.

Air conditioning was very loud.  Got in the way of sleep.  Room felt a little cramped and not especially comfortable.  Friendly owners, next to Tim Horton’s, Boston Pizza and Farmers store all a short walk and a comfortable walk downtown.  Fine for a lower price.  

I like to stay in non-chain motels because they are run by the ‘mom and pop’ owner operators. The down side of that is most of these facilities are a little tired. The room was clean, everything in the room worked as it should, but the beds and pillows could use replacing. 

It’s within walking distance to Boston Pizza and a Tim Hortons across the street. So it had everything I needed and it was only $77 per night all in. 

Good value. 

Nice People, Very Accomodating

Stayed here for one night while attending a hockey game. Certainly the price was right. The room was small and definitely old. Right on the highway but traffic was very low at night. Had some problems getting the wifi to work but eventually it did. Continental breakfast was included, and although basic, it was good enough. The breakfast room was very small with only one table, so I pretty much had to return to my room to eat. I found the bed to be not the most comfortable, but I've slept on worse. The owners are very nice people and in keeping with the vintage theme there is a nice collection of spoons on display in the front lobby. I would also like to give a thumbs up for the motel sponsoring the local MJHL hockey team.

Interesting place to stay, feels old and nostalgic. My only problem was the bathroom floor was severely dirty, it may have been because the room may have not been used for awhile. However, more care could go into the cleanliness of the bathroom. Everything else was great, friendly staff, fairly quiet and they do not overcharge on the room rates. Fairly inexpensive.
